Time had marched on and honestly, he could finally say he was over Eden. The child she had stolen was likely to never be found, and all things considered, they were likely both dead. She couldn't hunt and was far too small to properly protect the both of them. So he resigned himself to just accepting they were dead for good. It took him a long time to finally come to terms with it, but now that he decided, it was time to put his energy into the children that were here. He had been taking care of them and teaching them, but he found that he didn't quite have the bond with them that he wanted initially. He hoped it wasn't too late to change that, but late was better than never, right?

He walked into the cavern that he usually occupied, calling for Diablo first. His son had some interesting mannerisms and was quite different than others he'd seen before, and so far, he hadn't found anything wrong with any of them. So far...but then again, he hadn't keep as good an eye on them as he should've been. But now he wanted to gauge each child to determine if they were born with his ancestors curse, or if they got lucky and were spared this life of strife that the demons brought...

He was...staring into the darkness of the cavern. For what reason he didn't know, but he felt compelled to sit and contemplate. His mind was silent now, but every now and again he felt like he wasn't alone. It wasn't just the presence of his pack mates...it was...something else. Something he couldn't quite describe. He had yet to mention to his father. Unsure if he should. But he had considered it. Still...something told him that he shouldn't. Not yet, anyway. So when he heard his father calling for him, Diablo quickly turned away and found his father approaching. His ears flicked as he turned around, still seated, and looked to his dad. The two of them were almost at comparable heights now, though Diablo still had a lot of filling out to do, he wondered if he'd ever be as tall as his father. "Evening, father." He murmured, voice emotionless as he wondered what Ignis wanted with him.

"Talk" Walk

He wasn't sure what to expect with Diablo. Out of the three of them, he seemed to potentially be the most unpredictable. But he couldn't say for certain. He'd have to carefully gauge each of them first. Keep a better eye on them to try and determine if they were like him. It frightened him, honestly. And he wasn't sure what he'd do when it came down to it. "Evening, son. Are you busy?" It was a rhetorical question. Clearly Diablo wasn't busy. He was just sitting there, staring at...well...nothing, it seemed. Ignis closed the distance, gently brushing his childs shoulder as he sat and peered into the darkness for a moment. The only sound he could really hear was the waves outside and their breathing. Drips in the caverns echoed, and somewhere further in he could hear other pirates singing drunken tunes. "I'm sorry if I haven't been spending enough time with you guys." Might as well get that out of the way first, right?

Before he could answer whether he was busy or not (it didn't really matter did it? He wasn't busy anyway), his father had brushed his shoulder with what he assumed to be some sort of affection. Diablo wasn't much one for touch, and he wasn't sure how to feel about it. But he ignored it for now as he was caught off guard by his father's next words. "It's fine. You've been busy with your duties as a Sin." He murmured. The silence between them after that was thick. The darkness enveloped them for the most part, though he could see the gleam in his father's eyes and the glow of his coat from the water that reflected the light of the moon outside. "What do you need?" He questioned bluntly. An attempt to break the silence that held onto them.
