She hadn't spent much time in these parts of the pack lands, but she had been pacing the edges from time to time and now felt the urge to check out the Pits! Mom had said this was where she got a lot of her materials for the things she made. All sorts of things often fell into the tar, and Rue knew she had to be careful or she'd be next. The stench here was strong, full of death and decay, the acrid smell of tar and burning soil. Definitely far different than the plains, but here it was more concentrated. She wrinkled her nose for no more than a brief moment before she spotted something of interest. A rat scurried between the rocks and bones that littered the ground ahead of her. Immediately her interest was piqued, and Rue's focus zeroed in on the rodent. She didn't know what she'd do with it if she caught it, but she'd have to catch it first to find out!
