Andy has been applying herself around the pack, carefully learning and honing her skills wherever she can. The girl has wished to ask her father for a rank in the pack but had taken her time to consider what her options are. Although she a warrior at heart, the pack is filled to the brim with capable fighters. In her investigating, she has noticed a distinct lack of wolves in one specific area. From her observations, it is the market could use someone to watch over it.

So, with confidence in her steps, she trots out to the woods and searches for her father who will be running a patrol right about now. With practiced easy, she locates his form sliding effortless between the trees and silently trots up to him. Andy approaches from behind him, her paws easily moving across the ground with nothing but a whisper to mark her passing. As she moves up to his side and falls into step with him, the girl calmly says, “Hey dad.” A smile begins to form as she looks to him.


"Andromeda Fatalis"

Sirius Fatalis The Mile High Woods hadn’t been his home for as long as the Plains had been, but he had worked hard to make up for lost time. His paws could manage this walk in his sleep, and he knew every groove of the path. Every tree, and the familiar scents roving across the borders in different places. He knew when his daughter had found him. Bast, who slunk in the woods even quiet then the Warlord on his right alerted him with a silent motion. He did not respond, except to flick his tail at her as she fell in beside him. After a moment, he turned and smiled at her. “Hello, Daughter” He said back, wondering why she had sought him out. No doubt he would find out sooner rather then later. "Speech"

While Andy had tried to sneak up on her father, Bast, the ever-vigilant snow leopard, is there to warn Sirius of her approach. Oh well. Falling into step with him and receiving a flick of his tail as greeting, they both are quick to exchange pleasantries. The girl is on a mission and she has sought out her father to voice an idea she has been mulling over. Without wasting time, she plunges ahead with her plan, “So dad, I have been thinking. I have been working really hard, honing my skills and helping around the pack wherever I can and I think it is time I ask for a new rank.”

She watches him from her periphery, weighing his reaction to her words quietly before continuing on, “I was going to ask for a warrior position but, let’s face it, this pack has a ton of great warriors. So, I did some thinking and noticed we have a distinct lack of Traders within our ranks.” Andy explains her reasoning behind asking for the position before actually giving voice to her request. The pack is stocked with warriors but they could use more bodies to keep the market running smoothly. Finally, Andy looks to her father and confidently says, “Dad, I would like to formally request the rank of Trader.”


"Andromeda Fatalis"

Sirius Fatalis As soon as she started with ‘so, Dad’ he knew something was coming. He turned to her, and watched the passion on her face as she spoke. She was right, she had been vigilant in her efforts to contribute to the pack. He had watched her put in the work, pouring over her star chats, patrolling, hunting. She was a quick study, and one of the more active and social of his children. His expression was thoughtful, but he didn’t speak yet. He wanted to hear what ideas she had. Did she know what rank she wanted to reach for? “A Trader? That would require a certain level of diplomacy. You would be the face of the pack. It would also require organisation - checking stock levels, and requesting items from crafters as they sell. I would also like a wolf in that position to have some fighting ability, so they have the knowledge and confidence to stand up for themselves should an alteration take place.” Was he leading up to something? Yes, he was. “Which brings me back to you, Andy. I believe you’ve shown strength in each ability I've mentioned. Go to the Market today, take over a stall for the day, and sell at least one item. Pay attention to what's going on around you. Take note of what wolves enter, and what items are popular. Achieve that, and the rank is yours.” that way she would have some paws-on experience for what she was asking for. "Speech"

After the girl asks for the promotion, silence lapses between them. Her father’s expression turns thoughtful and she allows him time to process her request. While she is a warrior at heart, Andy knows that the Armada is in good paws with all the fighters that they have. That is why she is seeking to be a Trader, seeing a challenge to be overcome in it. Maybe, if she rises to the occasion and organizes the marketplace to be more cohesive, he will be willing to hear out when she comes asking for a promotion again.

Sirius speaks and Andy’s attention quickly snaps back to him, listening carefully to what he has to say. Nodding along to his words, the girl thinks she has all these qualities he is speaking of. To her immense relief, he thinks so too! A grin splits her maw as he lays out a task and she quickly says, “Okay! I’ll go there right now!” Turning around, she stops to look up at him and says, “Thanks for believing in me dad.” Leaning in, she offers a hug before bolting back toward where the market waits for her.
