His teeth would not grasp the other man's ankle this time. It was obvious the man had been training, that much Gil could see. Unfortunately, that wouldn't matter as Gil was able to best him and watch him run off into the shadows of the bamboo. A smirk twisted upon his bloody lips as he ensured his owl companion had the severed toe in her clutches. There was no way he was going to leave here without his trophy. Now that part of his revenge was said and done, it was time to face the other one who caused his own fury to roar within him. The big man himself, their couch-o, or whatever he was called. Dumb name if you asked Gil.

Turning to watch the beast of a wolf push his Pirate King away, Gil knew it was his time to shine. Without missing a beat, the splotches man went barreling toward sir grumpy gills. Adrenaline still pushed through him as he ignored the throb of his newly missing toe. Muscles now warmed up and ready to go, Gil closed the distance between them. With hardly a moment passing and giving Sparrow hardly any time to leave the vicinity, Gil launched himself at the massive form of Hattori. Using his lithe frame to gain some air as he leaped, he aimed to slightly twist himself and try to grab onto the man's shoulder. If successful, he would open up his jaws and aim to sink his fangs into the meaty bulk of Hattori's shoulder or neck scruff.

Hattori ducked out of of the way of Sparrow's attempt to grab for his horns again, this time hunkering his shoulders down as she completely missed and went tumbling over. Ungraceful and kind of pathetic really. It was unbecoming, she clearly wasn't taking this seriously at all, so what was the point? To contrast his complete and utter seriousness? He didn't have much time to stand there and judge since it was apparent another wolf wished to try him out for size, one that was familiar, one that had trespassed before and been soundly trounced for his disrespect.

His opponent threw himself forward, muscles coiling like a spring and Hattori spread his gait, realised he wouldn't have time to dart out of the way and thus braced for impact. He grimaced as their forms thudded together, felt teeth grab and twist at the scruff on the side of his neck. But there was a smell of blood in the air and Hattori narrowed in on his bleeding paw, raised a taloned paw of his own made a move to stomp down onto the wounded Pirate's foot as hard as he could manage. Talons and all.

It was no surprise that he was quick on the draw. He had a slim figure for his size and being light on his paws was his specialty. So when he went careening for the bulk that was Hattori, he knew what was coming next. Air whooshed from his lungs as they slammed together. Wasting no time, Gil could grab ahold and begin twisty the tender flesh of Hattori's flesh. Keeping a tight hold as he pressed close to the ninja's leader, he was not expecting the counterattack.

Pained seared through his already damaged foot as talons dug into every fiber of his paw. Instinctually, Gil released his hold and let out a yowl of pain. Was the guy going to take his paw with him?! Now thoroughly pissed off at the low blow, Gil thought the guy was better than petty attacks. Releasing a nasty growl of agitation from his own throat, Gil flashed his fangs and aimed directly for mister petty's cheek. He would be pleased if he could grab ahold and take a chunk with him.

Hattori had a near perfect poker face but he would be a liar if he claimed the pained ruckus the Pirate made did not bring him a sense of satisfaction. He deserved it and everything he had coming to him. He was loud and as unruly as his kin, reacting in fury and not thought as he snarled and went to catch onto Hattori's cheek with his lengthened fangs. Not entirely unexpected, lashing out like that and not wholly unreasonable either, if he was being fair. But Hattori wasn't.

Dragging his foot back, he once again instead of dodging away attempted to careen into the attacking Pirate. His bones were strong and sturdy, and well aimed hit with Hattori's shoulder could hurt, but one directly to the muzzle? The Pirate would be fortunate he didn't lose any teeth. But maybe he'd been hurt enough today, maybe fortune would smile upon him? So many maybes.

They were coming undone. Rivin could smell more blood, the blood her companion had drawn. Lark didn’t linger, the attack hard and fast, but getting a grip had proved more difficult on an opponent in motion, so he let go as Rivin tore herself away. She glanced down at Lark, licking blood from his lips, then glanced over to the koi she had bested. She had… really won? The yearling felt pride swell in her chest. Wait until her father heard about this! She grinned. "Sorry, we’ll have to play again some other time. I think your turn is over.” Even Feng had managed to tear free of the man’s companion, grumbling and hissing as he came back towards his mistress. Now… that left her to find another target? Her face hurt, but adrenaline had her blood pumping. She was a capable fighter. She was meant to be a pirate. Her green gaze settled on another yearling and, without warning, she charged, coming in toward his left side. They were brown but with such a pretty pattern of white that she needed to mess it up a little. What was the best color? Oh yeah… red. The girl would lower her head as she charged with the intent on ramming her with her antlers. One was aimed for the area behind his foreleg, the other, well, she’d likely miss flesh but that was alright. She didn’t want to get stuck in the dude. Her companions raced after her, one on either side, a flank to their wolf counterpart and ready to attack once the distance had been closed. "Talk," 'Think.'

After forcing the shadowy pirate out of the fight, Tachi was quick to set his sights on another opponent. His heart raced in his chest, revelling in the adrenaline and thrill of it all as he charged forward, setting his sights on the brown wolf that had bested little Fuji. He didn't feel a dire need to avenge her or anything like that, she wasn't hurt as far as he could tell, but this wolf really did need to be put in its place. And who better to do so than himself? With jaws snapping, he lunged in close, aiming to use his sabres to grab a hold of the scruff on the side of their neck.

Tate doesn't need warning. He can see the girl as she comes on, head lowered, attempting to gore him in the side with her antlers. "Fucken freak," he snarls, narrowly dodging the brunt of the attack. Tate feels the scrape of the points against his foreleg and underside. It breaks skin, and he jerks to the side. If he wasn't already unhinged, then young Potato certainly was now. Really, he barely needed an excuse to fly off the handle... just a little push. A little, necessary push. Tate snapped 'round to face her, teeth bared. Without a second thought he lunged toward her face, disregarding any decorum. There is little to stop him in these moments. His head was spinning, he's drunk on the sheer adrenaline of it. Potato lunges. It's not pretty, but it doesn't need to be. He lunges straight for the girl's face, his teeth gleaming. Pure danger in his eyes, the boy is ready to deal some serious damage.

Even those who fought and won were getting winded, couldn't fight forever. But there was one who hadn't even fought at all and that annoyed Ajax some, that she'd been standing around watching. What was the point of being here if she wasn't gonna engage? Not giving the koi lady a choice, he rushed forward, a grin tugging on his lips as he lunged for her, wondering how she'd respond. Would she fight back or try to dance away? He'd happily try to bite her either way, keep pressing the advantage and see if the defenders would give in. Or be forced to watch as they took all the bamboo the pirates wanted.

The boy stood there dumbfounded as the small wolf slid off into the bamboo. So dumbfounded in fact he completely missed the brown yearling running at him and getting a solid hold on his scruff. The jostle bought him back to the present quick smart though, as he wildly flailed about trying to snap a the front legs of the wolf that had a hold of him. The angle made it hard to do much else so he tried to twist around and pull back with all his might in an attempt to get free. He really wasn't enjoying this whole raiding thing at all.

Tachi grinned as his teeth connected, gripped the loose fur tight in his maw, doing all he could to hold on as his target struggled and flailed. It wasn't nearly as easy as he'd thought it would be, certainly when the Pirate started shoving back into him, hard enough to make Tachi grunt in discomfort as their shoulders awkwardly collided. He almost wished the pirate had tried to bite him, anything would be better than this awkward wrestling match. He growled low in his throat, frustration growing the longer the Pirate just flailed. With a snarl he let go of the scruff and instead of giving him some breathing room he changed targets, hoping to chomp down on the Pirate's nose.

Oh goodie, he saw her coming. His fangs are coming for her face, more towards the area near her eye. What was it with these koi wolves going for her face!? Maybe he was going for the eye itself? Rivin’s head instinctively breaks from its original target, tilting at an angle to the point where the antler could still potentially be a danger to the other yearling depending on how he moves. Tilting her jaws up towards him she snaps her fangs with the intent of either capturing his lower jaw before it could reach her or, better yet, discouraging his bite so he tossed his head away from her to avoid being caught. She wasn’t keen on letting herself be grabbed again. With blood still on his fangs and claws Lark dives towards Tate’s foreleg on Rivin’s right, hoping to apply pressure on the paw with his entire weight to keep him from scrambling back easily, while Feng lunges with the intent of snapping his jaws on the boy’s limb and doing damage. Either way, the trio doesn’t intend to make the fight easy for the young male. This is a true test for both of them, but who would luck favor in their second fights? "Talk," 'Think.'

let's stick together just a little bit longer The boy that finally lunged at her was little more than a pup. A yearling, much like the rest of them. He was a terribly pointy thing, the glint off of his tail blade catching her eye, along with the more obvious horns. Kiriko watches as he darts into her, and she can feel his teeth nick her as she tries to dance away. The grace with which she tries to handle the fight, the pressure coming down around her... shit. The flash of red in his coat, it's enough to make her antsy. Nervous. Reds and oranges, does she need to be worried about being seen here? There was no time to fret about things like that. Kiriko is light on her feet, nimble as she attempts to dance around the boy. Ethereal, even in combat. Carefully she reaches for his heels, tender spots that housed vital tendons and ligaments. She needed to be careful of that sharp, dangerous tail. She needed to be careful of all of it. Her pulse rising in her chest. Careful. Always careful.

He doesn't give her his jaw, no. But Take surges forward instead, letting the girl's teeth make heavy contact with his cheek instead. He'd shove hard into her mouth, let the lack of space do what it could to prevent the full snap of her jaws. The most intelligent move? No. Did he give a shit? Also no. The racking, grating, menacing growl that comes from deep inside Tate's chest is near otherworldly. "Try me, fucking cunt." It's a dare. Tate's head lowers, and he plows forward into the girl. As her companions seem to redirect onto him, the brown koi kicks out. Hard. There would be no satisfaction without broken teeth, sundered bone beneath his blows. Relentless. Every movement the boy makes is with one purpose, and one purpose alone. Tate wants to do harm. Something has snapped in his stomach and in his chest. The taste of blood in his mouth (his? Someone else's?) is too much. Intoxicating. The rage of a berserker, of a barbarian. Violence going straight to his head, Tate reaches for anything he can feasibly make contact with. It doesn't matter to him exactly what he takes hold of as he makes to force his way into her personal space. Every blow comes with intent to sunder.

She was just as nimble as anticipated, sleek and feather-light on her paws. The Tojo wolf near pranced out the way, but there was a nervous edge to her movements, a concern Ajax couldn't quite place. What was her problem? Wass she afraid to lose? Scared to get hurt? Well, Ajax didn't intend to maul her or anything, that wasn't what this fight was about, but even then he felt like it was annoying she wasn't rising to the occasion.

And then she made an obvious attempt to grab at his ankles and finally she was doing something right, even if her tells were obvious. He swung his tail again, slashing it in her direction. Would she double down or back off? He was curious.
