She had been gone for a long time and had tried to find the original Abraxas with no luck. She turned to rituals and medicinals to connect with the spirits that left her. Her body laced with thin scars from her efforts, including the ones up her leg leading to her sigil on her shoulder. Her fur was rugged- but not matted- having been chewed short not long ago, showing her scars all the more clearly. It was night when the tide calmed and she realized she was in a bay of some sort. She crawled wearily onto the shores, not sure whether she should rest here- wherever it may be. Hauling her waterlogged body up to dryer land was a task. Her muscles were clearly visible under her cropped fur and while she had lost weight, her journeys had hardened her body but weakened her mind. Mismatched glassy eyes looked out onto the horizon as she staggered forward, fending off the dark tunnel that ebbed at the corner of her vision. "" |

With another territory came more land to patrol. Hattori was a man of routines, he started with the Bamboo then worked his way over to the Bay. The water was calm for this time of year as it lapped at the slanted shore, the floating bamboo bridges barely even jostled about as they floated on the surface. But there was movement that grabbed the Kaicho's attention, a dark shape emerged from the water, not half dead but perhaps half alive. Intruders were not welcomed, even in Tojo's less secretive territories and Hattori was keen on driving that point home, he approached all no nonsense and with a furrowed brow, only to slow a little as the wolf's features were identifiable. Recognisable.
Not a welcome sight but a sight all the same.
He stood at a distance, close enough to speak but not conversationally so. They weren't friends or allies last time they had seen one another and absence had not made the heart grow fonder. Or anything really. There was a weakness about her, that stubborn certainty had long since been drained from her and whilst he didn't feel a stirring of pity within his chest he recognised how far she had fallen. Pathetic really.
"You are trespassing." He said in place of greeting, not bothering to verbally recognise her state for now.

Tox had not previously been in any mindset of combative words unless they were in God's honor. She had changed in that mindset, and though she seldom had use for her words anymore. Something about her was overall more abrasive, more cold, absent was the care she had for teaching those around her. She had hardened. She had survived. Words reached her ears, though they sounded more distant than they actually were. She trained her faded vision on somewhat familiar splotches and clicked her tongue, "Cannot own what you cannot mark," she rasped, aiming to shoulder past him on uneasy legs. If he wanted to be absurd, she could be absurd too. "Was hoping you would take me to the hot springs again." There wasn't a smile, nor even fondness, but a glint of memory all the same. "Where is my sister?" "" |

For a moment Hattori contemplated drowning her, a fleeting if not vicious thought hidden by furrowed brows. She moved to shoulder past him but it was like pushing against stone, unstoppable force meets immoveable object. Or rather she had once been that way, as things were Toxicity was merely a shadow of her old self, pathetic and clearly forsaken by her god. If it ever had even existed, Hattori was still not convinced nor would he ever be.
"She is not here." He said, with a degree of finality to show she had never been, though she still yet lived.
