It was time for a meeting. Medusa had promised to work hard for those that chose to follow her (and even for the Curses, despite their feelings towards her), and there was much to discuss. Insomnia was not going to stagnate. They were either going to work with her, or they could leave. She was far too busy to be chasing down her members to try and hold their hands. Nobody had held her hand growing up, no. Far from it. She trusted some of these wolves, while others she had yet to trust. They lacked ambition and drive, sooo she was going to fix that. And if not? Then bye Felicia! Oh, and there was also the matter that her kids were yearlings now, there had been some promotions, and Widow's kid was also a yearling, yada yada yada. There was plenty to address, and she'd be damned if her kindness got taken advantage of!
She trotted towards the center of the Plains, dual toned gaze searching for signs of the pack. Once she got to the clearing, she briefly got distracted as she considered ways it could be more spruced up. Alas, a project for another day! For now, she has business to attend to! Her companions all joined her, sitting behind her as they waited for their charge to summon the pack. After a few more moments of thought, Medusa threw back her head and issued an immediate call for all Insomniacs.
OOC// Due date to be in the meeting is JUNE 12th! No Shows will be in trouble if they don't have a good reason to not be there. As always, feel free to DM me if your char can't make it!

As her mate and *ahem* protective detail, Erebos may crash her threads at anytime!
Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:

His legs were slowly getting better. After receiving some assistance from that random healer girl, he was looking forward to trying to run soon. There were still some aches and pains here and there, but he was certain the bones were at least healed by now. Which meant he would go to the meeting. The sound of Medusa’s howl echoed across the plains with a sort of urgency he could not ignore. Ghoul was a man of some kind of honor and he would keep his promise. If she called on him, he would answer.
Making his way at a leisurely pace, he brought Cricket along with him. Knowing the girl was still somewhat uncertain of the rest of the pack, he knew it would be easier for her if she stuck near him for awhile. Ghoul would test his patience more as he kept pace with her and they eventually and surprisingly showed up at the meeting with no one else around. Casting the little bug a curious look and a smile, he approached to sit near Medusa. Leaving room for Cricket and his brother, Macabre, Ghoul took a set.
“Looking forward to the meeting, Medusa,” he says in apathetic tones. Lacking true emotion lately was his forte but he knew Medusa would know he always meant good tidings where she was concerned.
Warning: If anyone dares to fuck with Cricket, their pups, or Macabre, you will be answering to him.

At this point, Macabre wouldn't know honor if it slapped him in the face. He remained in the pack for reasons unknown even to him - but he held no malice to Medusa, even after all she'd done. They seemed to have some sort of common ground, too - she was about as emotionally stable as he was, and they shared an interest in taxidermy. She'd likely be fascinated to know that he had the goal of taxidermy-ing a real wolf someday. If he could get his paws on a corpse, that is. So, he stayed; plus, he'd never leave Ghoul behind. He was, like, his absolute number one best buddy brother! And his girly friend, Cricket, was super fascinating. He didn't mind that she was tiny and hid under his legs sometimes - she understood his strange sense of humor, too. It was all he could really ask for in a pack that had essentially changed drastically, and all when he was unconscious and near-death a few seasons prior.
When Medusa called, her howl rang out into the sky. Macabre perked his ears, leaving behind the remnants of a skinned squirrel he'd been toying with. The smears of blood from the rodent still flecked his spotted paws as he bounded after the familiar figures of Cricket and Ghoul, tail wagging softly behind him as he caught up to them. He flashed a smile at the two, his blind eye practically a headlight to those who weren't used to looking directly at him. Not that he cared - let anyone stare! It wasn't like he cared to hide it, either.
"Hi, Ghoul! Hi Cricket! Hi Medusa!" He said, offering his signature cheshire grin and a wave of his paw. Noticing his rose-pelted sibling made some room for him, the boy sat next to him with his blind eye facing his brother's side - a bit of a habit, now, considering that though he was adapting to his half-sight, Ghoul's guidance with navigating difficult terrain and dark areas made it a lot easier on him. He glanced up at the skeletal woman, waiting for what she'd say.

Cricket raced forward and gave a little jump to offer a respectful lick to the underside of Medusa's chin. It hadn't dawned on her that others didn't seem to show respect the same ways she did, but she wanted to make sure Medusa knew how grateful she was to be here! When Mac joined them she bounded closer and squeezed her way between the brothers, sprawling out happily with her back legs turned back in a sploot, tail waving happily over her back, a green spotted victory flag. All her favourite people were in one place! Why wouldn't she be happy?

Vulcan was on his daily patrols and working on his own things. He hasn't been as active as he should due to being sick the past season or so, a sickness that made him lack the energy to do a lot. And as prideful as he was, he hated the idea of others watching him in such state, for that he kept himself out of the loop, trying to make others not notice his sickness. As the wind blew across his face he heard the calls from Medusa and forcing himself, he went towards the meeting ground and took a seat on his own spot, masking his unwellness quite well.

Her mother had called for a meeting and Morticia would not ignore that call. She adored her mother, and though she’d been having fun chasing after the little critters within their pack lands the girl would not ignore her mother’s call. She had managed to catch one bit of prey, and eagerly Morticia would collect it up before she went to answer her mother’s call. It was a rabbit, a pretty good sized one too, and the child wanted to give it to Medusa as a gift. But the moment the rabbit was grabbed Morticia would take off like there was a fire under her tail. Her paws would thunder across the lands of Insomnia towards where the meeting was held. She would not be the first to arrive, and there were wolves there that Morticia really didn’t know. She saw Medusa though of course, and Ghoul too. Her tail wagged back and forth and she huffed around the rabbit in greeting. She liked him. He was pretty neat, and she was hoping that soon he’d be able to run around and keep up with her! Then they could go hunting together or something! The child walked over to Medusa and dropped the rabbit at her paws, wiggling in place. “Morticia gives this rabbit to Medusa! Morticia hunted it just for Medusa! So Medusa can see how good Morticia has got at hunting~” The yearling padded a short bit away from her mother and sat down unceremoniously on the ground with her tail wagging a mile a minute behind her. What would her mother have planned for everyone? |

The days all blend together for Enki with nothing ever really setting one apart from another. He keeps his head down, takes care of his bodily needs, and doesn’t disturb anyone. It is his best attempt at existing and, honestly, it is all he seems able to do lately. There was one day that stands out in his mind since the news of his mother’s death and that was when he met Ghoul. But other than that… nothing. He keeps himself in the tar pits, finding comfort in its familiarity as no longer feels the wanderlust that had keep his soul.
Today would have been just another one in the endless drudgery of life if not for the call Medusa issues. He immediately turns toward the call, already forgetting what he was doing, moves toward the call without even realizing he is movin. Even though he goes as quickly as he can, there are already others gathered in the meeting area. For a moment, his eyes land a Ghoul but they quickly slide over to the others. His gaze is void of… anything as he glances over them all. When he finds Medusa, he offers a small dip of his head, acknowledging the leader and her role in the pack in his own small way.
With that done, he lingers at the outskirts of the group, far from any other members. There, he settles onto his haunches and waits for the meeting to begin.

Everything had changed, and Veigar didn't quite know where he fit in. Aryn was gone and he hadn't heard from Recluse or Deathbelle for as long as he could remember. But it wasn't like they really would be able to find him if they tried, not really - he'd been deeply reclusive for months now, only coming out to scavenge here and there as his sight finally failed him completely. His world was dark now, completely and utterly black, and he knew there was no coming back from this. Maybe if he'd sought help a long time ago, after the Long Night, someone would've been able to do something for him... but then again, maybe not.
But it was too late for all that. Hearing Medusa's call made his stomach tighten in a painful, anxious knot. It'd been so long since he'd encountered many of his packmates and now he was being thrust right beside them all. Maybe he could lay low, and not attract much attention to himself. How much longer could he go before someone realized something was wrong, he wondered?
As he approached the gathering he knew he'd be lucky if someone didn't notice something. His eyes were hazy now, little to his knowledge, though they'd always been a milky silver so maybe that wasn't so surprising. But the most jarring of all was how skinny he'd gotten. He very clearly looked like he'd hardly eaten for months, ribs visible through his coat, which looked dull and lifeless now.
Following the more familiar scents, he slowly slid in and sat down somewhere near Ghoul and Macabre. He wouldn't necessarily consider them friends, Veigar wasn't sure he had any of those, but they were familiar enough to him and that was what he needed right now.

Veigar is completely blind; his eyes are a hazy shade of pale yellow, though he tries his best to hide this fact.
His saliva also glows a faint shade of neon green since the Ooze event.

A deep breath in a deep breath out. Eraithus felt his muscles rippling underneath his pelt. The curse hoped for what it was worth, he could work himself out of his rut. He was a nobleman that part of him he didnt think would ever change. Kespie hung high patrolling the skies and providing him with well needed information. A glimpse of outside these pack lands hed been confined to. He wanted freedom once more....
He joined the group. Respectfully giving a bow to Medusa before silently taking his seat. Eraithus needed to train, it was still a goal for him to raise a family. Maybe one that wouldnt burn at the touch of a feather it felt.

Morte had woken her up when Medusa had called for the meeting, but she was in no way presentable after a hard nap that left her fur rather disheveled. After letting the yearlings help her fix herself, not that she needed it, Widow left for the meeting with the children in tow. She only remembered Taz coming over, as he often did, but now one of Medusa's daughters had joined them as well. She was so used to looking after Medusa's children that they felt like her own so it hardly mattered to her when they came and went, but the lot of them arriving late to the meeting certainly wouldn't look good.
"Hurry up children, let's go," she called back to the lagging teenagers, though she knew it was because Morte struggled with walking more these days. Widow wished she knew how to help her daughter beyond simple medicine, but she didn't even know what was wrong to begin with.
As expected, just about everyone else had arrived before them. Widow sat somewhere amongst the crowd and offered Medusa an apologetic smile while avoiding the faces of her family and former Habari members. They weren't her family anymore, Medusa and her children were the only family she needed. Though, she wouldn't complain if a handsome man strolled in.

When Medusa had called for the meeting, Morte had been with Tazzy as usual experimenting with different perfumes and makeups. Not that either of them needed any more color than they already had, but they were having fun smearing berry paint on each other and laughing about it. Even when Rue came, but Morte knew that the meeting was important to her mom. She just hoped that they wouldn't get dragged into it.
She knew better though, she just didn't want to walk all the way there. They were staying in a nice den close enough to where the meeting was, but mom didn't want to carry her around anymore and Tazzy would blow away in the next gust of wind if he wasn't careful. Morte was left walking slower than her mother, but at least Tazzy stayed with her. They were always attached at the hip, gossiping and being typical teenagers. They were lucky enough to be given time to wash their paints off, but they left Morte coming to the meeting half drenched since her and Taz certainly couldn't stop themselves from splashing it at each other when given the chance.
Settling down alongside her mother, she leaned gently into Tazzy as he sat down on her other side.

Tazzy wasn't like the other boys, and that was okay. He was raised with two sisters and pretty much had a third. He didn't have a father and was raised by two women, so it was really no surprise how girly the boy came out to be. So to essentially be playing dress up with Morte was to be expected. Painting each others faces with some sort of make up like paint and spending their day laughing at each other and what they created.
He pouted when it came time to go to the meeting and even more when he had to wash his face off. They were so pretty! All was well again though when he and Morte had a short splash fight in the water though. He was absolutely soaked, but it was worth it! He liked to think he won that fight, but in reality he very much lost. It certainly didn't stop his chest from puffing out as he walked alongside Morte on their way to the meeting though, making her laugh the whole way in an attempt to help her forget about the constant ache in her paws. Laughter was the best medicine, right?
As they arrived, he ran up to his mother and greeted her with a quick kiss as Widow and Morte settled down nearby. He was gone just as quick though, easing himself down next to Morte and letting her lean against him with a smile.

Crap. She was running a bit late, but only because she'd been sitting there hanging out with Morte and Tazzy and was now heading off with them and Auntie Widow. She went with them and waited as they washed off their painted pelts, too distracted with other things buzzing nearby to jump in and join in the splashing, but soon they were done and were now headed to the meeting. The short trip there was slow going since Morte's legs were weird and didn't work right, and Rue wanted so badly to figure out why. She couldn't exactly slice one open and take a peek inside without putting Morte in excrutiating pain probably, so she settled for observing from the outside. Not as fun, but nothing she could do until Morte eventually died. Not that she wished for that, but ya know, science and shit. Upon arriving to the meeting, everyone else was gathered and Rue immediately bounced away and headed for Morticia and Medusa, curling herself around her mothers legs much like a cat would before plopping down and waiting for the meeting to begin.

She went over in her mind what she wanted to address in this meeting. Meetings weren't exactly her forte, but maybe if she called more, she'd get better at them. Eh, who had time for all that nonsense? Sure the pack needed routine meetings, but not frequent ones, right? At least, not unless there were things that happened that needed knowing, but so far, Insomnia didn't have many pressing issues. But definitely, things she wanted the others to know. The first to arrive was Ghoul, and right alongside him was the newest member, Cricket! Oh, and even Macabre!? She grinned when she saw the three of them and giggled when Cricket came up and licked her jaw. That was new for Medusa, nobody really touched her outside of fights, but she was getting used to physical contact that didn't involve fighting since she had her kids, and it seemed she'd be getting plenty with Cricket. Which in all honesty, was plenty fine for her! “Looking forward to the meeting, Medusa,” She grinned at Ghoul, tail beating the earth for a moment before she responded. "Yes, Medusa is excited. Lots of things to tell!" She exclaimed as her paws tippy-tapped the stone beneath her feet. Next to arrive was the red man that reminded her of the other red man. She hadn't seen much of him if at all since he joined, and she squinted at him as he took a seat. She tsked a time or two, her tippy-tappy paws going still before her attention was promptly drawn to Morticia. One of her most colorful and most excitable children had laid a rabbit at her feet, and Medusa made it a point to show how excited and proud she was of her daughter's efforts! "Medusa loves this! We will share it for lunch and make things with it after the meeting, promise!" Mother and daughter bonding time in the strangest of ways, absolutely! Enki shows up next, and he doesn't look happy. At all. Though Medusa expected as much since Enki is a Curse...and although he was in a bit of a precarious position, Medusa has a soft spot for the young boy. She returns Enki's greeting with a nod of her own, a slight wag of her tail for him and she hopes that things get better. She had been made aware that their mother had supposedly died, but she still didn't know if it was real or if it was fake news. Veigar and Eraithus came in next, and Medusa's attention was drawn to them, offering a dip of her head to the blue man before her attention was focused more towards the painfully thin, glowing male. He reminded her of...well...her when she was younger. Painfully thin with a belly that was constantly hurting because she had never been able to get enough to eat. The sicknesses that followed from eating carrion. Though now she practically had an iron stomach from such strife. Of course, those were the days before she had learned how to hunt. Before she had learned everything she knew now. All things she had learned out of pettiness and spite for Recluse keeping her captive for so long. Skills she would use to help those that needed it...and it looked like Veigar needed it. Lastly, Widow arrived with the remaining three kids, and after Tazzy and Rue greeted her and took their seats would Medusa begin. She did note that there were a few missing, but honestly, she didn't care anymore at this point. Those who had run off from the start she wasn't in the mood to hunt down. Nor would she. But probably something she should mention, eh? She did also note that Raven and Misery weren't present. Misery she expected not to be, but the pretty blind boy? She supposed maybe he got lost on the way or something. "Medusa thanks Insomniacs for coming to the first...second? Meeting! There is lots to say, and many things for you all to know! First, Medusa has freed Curses that ran away when Insomnia started. Medusa doesn't know if they know, but they ran away, so who knows! They can figure it out." She said with a firm nod. "Second, Medusa has decided that Insomnia is going to be friends with Valhalla and Avalon! Corbie and Ardyn are nice, and Avalon has invited us to train and trade with them if Insomnia needs it! Rue will start training with Avalon's healer to learn things, so if anyone else wants to learn more that Insomnia can't teach, Medusa can speak to them to see if you can work with them, too. Insomniacs must not attack them! Not unless it is a raid, or they attack first, but Medusa doesn't think that will happen! Okay? Okay!" Important news part one? Check! She nodded as she let that sink in before adding on, "Also, we are not friends with wolves that are Recluse friends. Not unless they are not friends anymore. Medusa has met Azure of Armada, he's a big meanie, but is good for piercings! Uuummm...." What was the other pack that Seymour had mentioned? Oh! "Definitely not friends with the oned named Asses...no..." She glanced at her companions who were all snickering. "Ashen." Turning back to the pack, she corrected, "Ashen. Medusa learned they are Recluse family, but still, probably not friends. So maybe don't trust 'em, k?" While she was aware half her members were related in some way, shape, or form to Ashen...and one of their healers did help her when she was in the process of having her pups, she was pretty leery of the rest of them. Though they seemed to keep to themselves for the most part, one never knew! Okay what next...oh! "Medusa has decided too that everyone here is changing their place in the pack! Everyone is no longer a Curse! Except for Misery. He is not here, so he is still a Curse. And also Medusa doesn't like him, and he doesn't like Medusa." She shrugged before continuing. He also hadn't tried to fight his way out, or tried to not be a curse either, so that was the main reason. "Everyone here, listen up! Ghoul, you are a Hellhound! Widow, Trickmaster! Cow-boy, you are a Memory!" Until he decided on a path, anyway. "Blue wolf is a Charm! Rue is a Hex! Morticia is a Whisper! Glowing brown wolf, you are a Memory! She paused as she looked at the others, "Red man, you are dropped to a Memory. Medusa does not see you much, so you are not a Feral anymore." Oh well. Too bad, so sad. If he worked for it, he could have it back. Or maybe even a better rank! "Also, everyone say hi to Cricket! She is cute and small and green! Cricket is a memory!" For now, anyway. Until she figured out what she wanted to do in the pack. "Morte and Tazzy, Medusa needs to know what you want to do so you don't have to be Shadows! Okay?" She reeeaaalllyy wanted to place them somewhere but didn't know what paths they were interested in, let alone if they'd even been learning about their interests. Okay, that was everyone, right? Her gaze drifted toward Enki, her gaze lingering on him for a few heartbeats before turning back to the others. "Enki...Enki is a Memory." She quickly glanced at him before glancing away. Of all the wolves in the world, he definitely didn't deserve to be a Curse. She felt that maybe he could be trusted. But she supposed time would tell her, right? "Medusa wants to see everyone working for better things! Medusa will not hold your paws, and she wants to see you be your bestest! If you can't do that, then Medusa thinks it best if you leave and go somewhere else." Better to mooch elsewhere, right? She was constantly running around and picking up the slack, spreading herself thin for the sake of keeping things running. She couldn't do everything, and she would not deny that she needed help. "Also, Medusa wants um..." What was the word? "Medusa wants others to help...the others. Teachers! To teach things and help! Ghoul, Medusa knows you are still slow, but you can..." She scrunched her face in thought for a moment, "Ghoul can tell them how to do things, like a...a cheerleader!" Yeah, that sounded about right. He could just yell at the kids from the sidelines and instruct them how to do things! Clearly, a number of the members might need that, too! Okay, that was probably about most of the important info that she could think of that needed telling. Though her brain was going a mile a minute, she was sure she was missing some key things. "Oh! Medusa wants to raid soon, so she needs Insomnia to start getting better with themselves! Not just to raid, but also if Insomnia gets raided! Also, Medusa is planning a festival, She found a cool place in the desert, but maybe Insomnia will try that later. Aanndd...also, Insomnia will have a place here for everyone to make requests if they need help. A...boooard? Yes, a board! A request board! Medusa will find a parrot or something to take requests, and others can come and see what requests there are to help those that are requesting! And, She will be testing everyone soon with everything, so practice, or don't! Medusa doesn't care for excuses, so like she said before, if you don't wanna try, then go somewhere else! If you are having trouble, Medusa is happy to talk! She will not skin you for talking to her, promise!" Alright...she was sure that was about it. She wasn't used to this whole meeting thing, so she was about ready to wrap things up unless others had questions, comments, or concerns. |

The pale pink boy keeps to himself, content to stay away from the others while paying rapt attention to what Medusa has to say. It is easier to stay detached from others, the less strings there are, the less attention Enki has to pay to relationships. Light blue eyes stay glued on the Wraith as she begins the meeting and the boy does his best to follow along. He nods in appropriate places, liking the idea of training with Avalon. He had promised to be of use to Insomnia and that includes being ready to fight for it.
Medusa speaks of Ashen and a faint memory attempts to push to the surface, a fire-kissed woman with horns forms in his mind before he swiftly erases it like a picture in the sand. Next came the promotions and Enki allows his eyes to roam over the crowd as he attempts to spy which members receive what ranks. Truthfully, the boy is content to be a Curse, knowing that the title truly reflects who he is. At the news of a wolf named Cricket, his baby blue eyes land on the green wolf and linger for a few moments, his gaze dull and empty of anything and everything.
Suddenly, he hears Medusa say his name and Enki slowly shifts his gaze to meet her own. Sluggishly his eyes blink as she offers him the title of Memory and the boy feels… something. It is a strange emotion that wells in his chest, feeling physically heavy and it causes his eyes to sting. Head bows in respect at the offered title and, while he internally rebels at the stripping of his former one, the boy does not protest. The talk moves on but Enki keeps his head bowed, eyes glued to his large paws as the prick that stung the back of his eyes steadily grows. Big, fat wet drops suddenly plop down on top of his paws and he starts, surprised to find they are coming from him.
A word swirls in his mind unlike any he remembers and it stirs the deep hidden emotions within him. Gratitude. It causes the water to fall from his eyes and Enki quickly stomps it out, knowing that emotions are extremely dangerous things. Talk of raids buzzes about his ears and he slowly absorbs the words, head still bowed and eyes still glued on his paws as there is a natural pause in the meeting. Mentally, he vows to do everything he can to better himself but his mouth remains firmly shut.

Ghoul’s shortened tail beats a few times when Mac and Cricket come to his side. With the small green girl tucked between them, he is content. Knowing that his two closest companions are doing well and attending the meeting helps Ghoul relax. Allowing his legs to sprawl out into a more comfortable position, he watches as more members arrive. First, a red guy that he doesn’t know. Then Morticia, who he knows and smiles at. After is his half-brother, Enki, who appears as bland as he had been when they’d crossed paths the other day. His eyes linger on Enki for a moment, unsure if he should invite the boy over to their small group or not. Then he watches Veigar come to settle nearby. “Veigar, I didn’t know you were here,” Ghoul calls out gently to the man, noticing something different about him. Was it the eyes? Something else? “We should catch up,” he offers before turning his attention back to the rest of the group. It would then be Eraithus, Widow, Morte, Phantasm, and Rou that approach. The only one he acknowledges is Rou with a small smile before his attention is once more on Medusa as she begins her meeting. His ears are turned forward as he listens to her intently. Ghoul is curious why she has freed the Curses that had ran, but figured he would ask her about it later. Then his expression changes to curious as she states that they would align with Valhalla and Avalon. Neither pack were familiar with him, but he figured if they would tolerate Medusa, he would tolerate them. Ghoul’s expression stays curious as she declares Ashen and the Armada empire public enemies. There was no surprise there, but he wondered if that would one day change. It was then he became interested when Medusa doled out rank changes. Hellhound? Hm, interesting. He couldn’t hide the little smirk as he wondered what that would entail. She would move on quickly through the ranks and then request him to teach others. “I can teach without doing,” he offers, his head nodding softly in Medusa’s direction. At least teaching others would give him something to do to make his recovery more interesting. Her last bit of information was interesting and he settled within himself that he would try to reach out to the others and Medusa to help train and find out more about this board she was proposing. The whole aura of this gathering was uncomfortable for him, but maybe that was just his own anxiety talking. It wasn't like he could really feel how the others around him were feeling; any guess was just a shot in the dark, both figuratively and literally. Ghoul addressed him and his voice was a comfort. Familiar. He nodded in response. "Yes, lets," he agreed quietly.
He was quiet and still as the meeting began, hoping to not draw attention to himself. He swayed slightly where he stood, eventually opting to sink down onto his stomach and keeping his head held high enough, hoping it looked like he was looking ahead toward her.
Nothing was of much interest to him. Pack alliances, training. Something about not being friends with Recluse's friends - and while once he'd looked to her as a mother figure, much like Deathbelle and Aryn, she too had abandoned him, at least in his mind. He was briefly addressed as 'glowing brown wolf' and he nodded in silent understanding. Something about a raid, and a festival. He took in the information and understood it but his mind was elsewhere, trying to frantically calculate how he'd managed to continue blending in here without drawing excess attention to himself.

Veigar is completely blind; his eyes are a hazy shade of pale yellow, though he tries his best to hide this fact.
His saliva also glows a faint shade of neon green since the Ooze event.

Excitable as she is, Morticia has learned something very important as she got older. Not only did she enjoy hunting things and making things with their bodies, but she enjoyed it most when her efforts could be enjoyed by those in the pack she looked up to; particularly her mother. Seeing how happy her gift made Medusa sent a surge of happiness through the yearling, and hearing that their Wraith would even share it before they made things with the parts set her tail to wagging a mile a minute; as if it wasn’t moving fast enough before! Ticia would give a series of eager nods, her bicolored gaze dancing with delight at Medusa’s proposal. She was sure the meeting was important, but more than anything she just wanted to get to the part where they were spending time together! She definitely needed to find neat things for Rou and Tazzy too. She hadn’t spent near enough time with her siblings, well, other than when they all played with Widow’s little one. Her mother opened with the fact there was a lot to say and, for a moment, Morticia’s smile would waver. Aww, did that mean lunch would have to wait? Sometimes her mom being in charge of them was so lame! But it was also super cool, and Morticia would quash those bad thoughts before they had long to linger in her head. There were wolves released from Insomnia that she had never met, not that it mattered. They had run away! It seemed like their pack was also starting to get good relations with others too. Wolves of Avalon and Valhalla. Hmm, okay! So she would need to see which pack others were from to know if they liked Insomnia or not. Morticia gave a couple nods of understanding on that. There were also some that weren’t good it seemed like. Armada had a meanie, and Ashen was no good either. They were the family of the wolf named Recluse that Morticia had learned was very, very mean to her mom! Morticia made a face. She didn’t like wolves that would be mean to her family or other Insomniacs. They were good to her and she would not be nice to bullies! There were rank adjustments too. She got made into a Whisper and Morticia wiggled in place. She certainly didn’t know what a real whisper was, but in Insomnia it meant she was taking the path of hunting! Ghoul got a nice rank up, and Widow too! Most of the changes were up, though some were down. Gaze would shift to Cricket as her mother said to say hi and she would wave, holding back a louder greeting. But the wolf that really caught her attention is the one that her mother seemed almost… sad to rank. Morticia would look over at him and, this time, her smile really did run away from her face. He looked so sad and lost… maybe he needed a friend? She could see the emotion on his face, the tears starting to roll down her cheeks. At this point Morticia tunes out her mother, weaving around other pack members to get to this other yearling. Once there she plops beside him and grins really big, managing to keep her voice down… well, for her. “Morticia wants to take away the eye water. Pale friend should come hunting with Morticia, and make bone accessories! It is fun, and then pale friend won’t have the eye water anymore, okay?” It is the gentlest she has ever been, but a true act of kindness. She did not want to see her fellow Insomniacs suffering, and she’d do everything to make sure they were grinning and laughing like she did! |

Morte will be here as an NPC, but will go missing immediately after the meeting.

Settled down with the children, Widow sat quietly through the meeting and dutifully listened as well as she had when Habari was her home. Now, Habari was nothing but a bad taste in her mouth, and her mother no different. Even thinking about the woman brought angry thoughts to the forefront of her mind and inside her, rage would swell. She was spared from it now, thankfully, as even the thought of her mother would occasionally bring on her anger. Medusa beginning the meeting before her was more than enough, especially as she announced their alliance with Avalon and Valhalla. Skeptical as she was, she wondered if these were honest alliances, or just a way for the other packs to get intel. Were Avalon or Valhalla allies with Ashen or the Armada? She hoped that Medusa had done her research, though she wouldn't push the topic. At least not until something seemed fishy.
As Medusa went on with the rank changes, Widow smiled at hers. She had apparently proven herself to be considered for a rank higher than most, and even Ghoul had seemed to manage it. She dipped her head towards the skeleton-marked woman and smiled, a quiet thanks to prevent from interrupting during the others important moment. Even Morte and Tazzy got to decide their place today, and she was eager to hear their decisions. Even if Medusa's children weren't her own, she cared for them as if they were and was elated to see them grow. They were getting so big! Well, the girls were anyway. Tazzy was quite the tiny little thing, but maybe he would get there?
Her attention was drawn back to Medusa when she continued on about a potential festival in the future. That seemed interesting, and certainly something that Widow wanted to delve into further another time, to see what her thoughts were and where she could help. A festival is what they all needed anyways, though she also thought that perhaps a friendly raid with one of their new allies could be arranged. Waiting until Medusa seemed to be finished with her announcements, she straightened herself and spoke up. "Perhaps as a part of the festival, we could have a mock raid with one of the new allies?" She asked, tilting her head a bit as she looked towards Medusa for her input.

Momma certainly had a lot to say! The young boy was eager to listen to it all, though it was a lot of information at once. Apparently they had some new friends though, and that was enough to make his tail wag behind him in the excitement of potential new friends. He hadn't a clue where either of these packs were, but maybe if he was real good, Medusa could take him or let Widow! He couldn't get the thought out of his head though even as Medusa continued on with the meeting, until eventually he heard his name and the glazed over, zoned out look in his eyes faded and he was left with a bit of mild shock. Was he asked something?
He blinked a few times and looked over to the pale, crying boy when she called upon him. Oh! Ranks! What did he want to be, anyway? He really liked helping (read: watching and getting in the way) when Widow needed an extra set of paws. Maybe he could do something like that one day? He didn't have quite the same toes as the giant woman, but he could make it work!
"I think I want to make things! Like Widow!" He beamed up at the woman before switching his gaze to Medusa, hoping that answered her request, at least.
