So this was to be their new home? She could see the advantages, anyone wanting to come to them would have to cross the water, but so would they. The large structure had all manner of unusual things that she couldn't quite wrap her head around, but it didn't really matter, did it? They had a roof over their heads and protection from the elements.
There would need to be a significant clean up, but she didn't quite feel like getting dusty right now. Instead, she walked across the fine white sand towards a stand of tropical trees. They'd never had much of a healing stash to start with, and now she wondered if there would be anything of potential use in here? It looked like someone, or maybe someones else had the same idea.

This island was overgrown and wild, but with time they could tame it and use the bounty of nature to their advantage. Rivin was sure of that. She had gone further inland, and had been digging for the better part of the morning. The soil she found wasn’t perfect - it was mixed with the sand of the island, as would be expected - but she had started the little makeshift garden near a little pond. Time would tell if the plants that she and her companions had brought from the gulley would survive here. As raiders, they really needed to get their shit together about having some herbs for tending to injuries… other things too, probably. They weren’t invincible after all. And most of her herb knowledge currently went to tending to cuts. Pitiful, but she was learning as she went… not to mention using herself as a test subject for her methods. Thus far she had gotten pretty lucky. But that was an ineffective way of learning how to treat patients. Lark trailed after his mistress as Rivin padded back through the foliage towards the beach. Her ears would perk, catching the sound of someone else moving. She didn’t doubt it was another of the Raider’s - no one else knew they had moved yet, right? Green gaze would flick silently to Lark before Rivin shifted course to intercept the other wolf. She really needed to start getting her shit together and interacting with more of her pack. A shift within, a laugh, caused her to shake her head. Whatever it was, it needed to shut up. She wasn’t going to let anything hold her back. The femme she’d discovered was Gilgamesh’s mate. Modesty, right? Rivin let her green gaze flick to her curiously before calling out. "Looking for something in particular? I’ve been this way. Maybe I’ve seen it.” "Talk," 'Think.' |
Rivin has two companions - a bobcat and a wolverine. Unless otherwise mentioned IC, assume that they are close by.

The telltale kekekekekeke of the boys masked lapwing kept him on track as he bounded over low lying broadleaf bromeliads, interspaced with ferns and nettles. The ground beneath those plants was moist and darker, small wells of water gathered in the centre of each plant. If he stopped for long enough to look, some of the plants housed tadpoles in different stages of metamorphosis. He paused momentarily to nose at the brush that smelled familiar, the small greenish-white bell shaped flowers giving it away. He was almost certain this might be one of the plants that would help his mother sleep... He was certain she probably needed it.
He snatched at the string of flowers to add to his stash for consideration. He had plans to travel soon, and maybe he would encounter a healer that knew a bit more than he did and could give him some insight... But how would he swim it across back to the coast?
So wrapped up in his own thoughts, and distracted by the sights and sounds of this new place, he missed the newly cultivated garden and passed over the familiar plants from the gully, only stopping when Rivin called out to Modesty. Sakana froze instinctively, solomons seal still gripped gently between his teeth. The wife was familiar with plants, but more for ritualistic purposes from memory... Maybe she would be the best one to ask?

With the news of Rexx's family moving to a new location, she was not the one to tell the boy they couldn't go see it for themselves. She wasn't really sure by what he had said if he and his family were on good terms, but Rheum wasn't Rexx so she didn't see the harm in going for a visit. Maybe his parents would enjoy seeing him? All of this was on her mind as she strolled along the beach. Coming from the opposite end of where a group of wolves was seeming to congregate, her yellow eyes squinted for a moment. Two of them appeared familiar while the third one did not. Perhaps it was a good thing that Scald was not here. Last she checked, Rexx was not on good terms with his only brother. Unsure if she should approach, Rheum hesitated and instead looked at her toes. Wiggling them in the sand, her ears tuned in to hear the stranger ask Modesty if there was anything she was looking for. Glancing up as she continued to lollygag, she noticed the garden bed nearby. Green leaves and trailing vines reached for the nearby building. A bed bursting at the seams, untended for what appeared to be a long time. Did Modesty need help? That would surely get her brownie points! Right? Still unsure if she was totally welcome, Rheum approached with her tail wagging softly between her legs. "Need some help?" She asked sheepishly with a timid smile as her eyes flickered between the other three. Rheum Genji-Archer
