Briar & Isa

As the birthday party enters full-swing, the purple girl detaches herself from her littermates and nieces and nephews. There is something she has wished to do since she saw Briar arrive and there is no better time than now. Striding up to her older sibling, the girl warmly greets her, “Hey sis! I have missed you so much! Thanks for coming to the party.” She reaches Briar and aims to wrap her sister is a warm, loving embrace. Since the last time they had seen each other, Andy has reached her full height and now matches her sister in that department.
After a few moments, Andy releases the hug, leaving a gentle lick on her sister’s cheek as she pulls back. The party has the girl’s spirits high and there is someone that she wants her beloved sister to meet. Motioning for Briar to follow her, the girl says, “Come here; there is someone I want to introduce you to.” A bright smile is beamed toward her sibling before she begins to lead her toward the huge spread of food. While they walk, the purple girl asks, “So, how have you been? I am really excited that I get to come and visit you next season.”
There is little time for answers as the woman who Andy has been seeking out appears and the girl excitedly calls out, “There she is! Hey, Isa! Over here!” She weaves her way to where the blue woman is and offers her an affectionate head bump, carefully to avoid hitting her with her kudu horns. Once the trio are gathered together, Andromeda introduces two of the most important women in her life to each other, “Briar, this is Isa. Isa, this is Briar. Isa has taught me how to read and write. Briar is my older sister and lives down in the Hallows.” A broad grin is on her lips as she looks between the two, curious what they will think of each other.

Briar mingled around the party, chatting with family members and catching up with ones she hadn't seen in ages while lingering at Artorias' side. However, when she saw her amethyst-hued sister coming toward her she broke away from the cluster she had been speaking with, giving Andy an affectionate grin and returning her embrace happily. "I've missed you too! Of course, no need to thank me! I wouldn't miss it," she insisted, giving her a warm squeeze before she released her younger sister and took a step back to look her over. "You've gotten so tall!" she told her with a laugh, grinning as proudly as she would for her own daughter. She had been watching her own children grow so it was really no surprise that Andromeda and her siblings were as grown as they were, but it was still something to wrap her head around when they had been so little the last time she saw them.
Briar's brows lifted with curiosity when Andy expressed that she had someone that she wanted her to meet. "Is that so? Well, lead the way!" She fell into step beside her horned sister, following her as she was lead through the party to where the wide spread of food had been laid out for the guests. "I've been well," she replied, her braided tail wagging gently behind her at the thought of Andy coming to spend more time with them in The Hallows. "I'm excited too! It'll be good to have you back for a while." It was only a short walk for them to reach the woman that Andy seemed very excited to introduce her to and it turned out to be the blue-hued woman she had spotted by the buffet of food when they arrived to the party. She smiled and chuckled softly at Andromeda's excited greeting to the unknown woman, giving Isa a dip of her head in greeting as Andy made the introductions between them. "A pleasure to meet you, Isa." She glanced curiously between Isa and Andy before adding, "It sounds like you two have been spending a lot of time together then! When did you join the Armada, Isa? I feel like I know fewer and fewer of the wolves here these days since our father moved the pack to the north."

The party went off without a hitch. Others brought fresh kills which Isa immediately either displayed or prepared as they wished. Not everyone liked cooked meat, after all. Isa had just been washing her paws when the excited voice of Andromeda met dark blue ears. Finishing by drying her paws off on a nearby fur, the older fae turned her bright smile upon the girl and her companion.
The excitement on the purple girl's face was soon explained as introductions were made. Andy introduced the fawn and teal fae as her sister, Briar. Isa beamed and nodded her head in greeting. "Pleasure to meet you, Briar," Isa spoke in her chipper, accented tones. "I've heard a bit about you. All good things," she reassured the other wolf.
As Briar asked about Isa's tenure in the pack, the blue fae chuckled sardonically. "Oh, I was forced to join a few seasons ago by your lovely father." Again Isa chuckled before seating herself and curling her tail around one hip. It obviously didn't bother her anymore. Had Sirius not claimed her for the Armada, she never would have met Andromeda. Sirius was indeed lovely these days, but they'd loathed one another at the beginning. "Are you just here for the party or will you be staying for some time? I'd love to cook you and yours a special meal." Nothing made Isa happier than feeding people.

It isn’t difficult for Andy to find her sister among the gathered wolves and, while she is eager to intercept her fawn-colored sibling and introduce her to Isa, the girl decides to hang back a moment. The purple girl has always preferred books and star charts to the bustle and noise of gatherings but Briar seems to mix and mingle with ease. Pale blue eyes watch Briar, admiring the natural elegance and gracefulness that she exudes. The dusty purple girl knows she will never be as comfortable in social situations as her sibling but, watching the way Briar puts others at ease with merely her words, has Andy wanting to do better.
Finally, Andy approaches her older sister, noticing the moment Briar spots her and breaks away from the cluster of wolves. Her young heart is full of joy as they embrace, the girl excitedly thanking her sibling for making the trip. The warm squeeze that is offered has Andy giggling as she steps back, allowing Briar to look her over in the way that siblings that haven’t seen each other for a while, often do. Heat floods her cheeks at the comment about being so tall and the lavender girl quickly waves it off, saying, “Nah. I’m not tall. In fact, I’m the shortest one in my litter. You should see the others. Massive.”
A laugh bubbles out as she informs Briar that there is someone she wishes for her to meet and Andy wags happily at being told to lead the way. As they walk, Andy inquires how her sibling has been and smiles widely at her reply, excited to be able to go and visit her soon. Soon, she spots Isa near the food, and angles them over toward her, joyfully calling out to the blue woman. They come to stop close to Isa and Andy offers introductions for the two women. The girl’s tail wags happily as the pair talk, content to sit on the sidelines and offer information where it is needed.
Pale blue eyes dart back forth as the conservation flows, Andy’s heart thudding franticly in her chest as she hopes that they will both like each other.
