Though the battlefield basically bordered Avalon's lands, Corbie had not really spent a whole lot of time there. She wasn't really a fighter by nature, so going to spar there with strangers didn't particularly hold any appeal for her. She could keep her skills sharp enough sparring with her packmates for her own standards. She did, however, need more members for her pack, and rogues could often be found seeking homes here. The pack didn't need more fighters, but it wasn't only fighters that wandered. Those who were lost, seeking a place to stay, often found their way here by accident - or deliberately. With a moment of thought, she decided to make it less accidental, and she raised her muzzle to call out in invitation for any loner seeking a home to join her and talk. Maybe she could recruit some to Avalon's banner.

After his last pack disbanded, Dunkan had been wonderous across both Auster and boreas. In a situation he didn't enjoy, he preferred to be of use, to work, and be productive. Packs had become an old memory now. At almost six years old he had lived long enough to know nothing was meant to last forever, packs rose and fell, found and disband. At this point he stopped himself from attaching too much to them, to avoid taking them for granted. But even if they might fall the next day, at least he had a purpose. Today he found himself on the Battlefield. Where packs often sought new members, for that reason he was here. To maybe find someone looking for a new body for their packs. He was with his Jaguar and Hawk, his lion skull and mane on his head, and the gauntlets on his paws. Unaware of the nearby female. "speech"

Corbie turned her head at the sound of Ren's faint growl, following the dog's gaze toward an approaching wolf. He didn't seem to be aware of her at all despite her howl, so she didn't think he was seeking her out in answer to it. Still, he wasn't showing signs of turning aside, so Corbie kept her own attention on him until he was in earshot. "Hello," she called out simply, cocking her head to the side slightly as she took in his appearance. The battle accessories he wore, the style just as much as the existence of them, spoke of a battlehardened fighter. The style itself - the savage nature of skull and mane specifically - made her wary, and she doubted that he'd fit with the more pastoral Avalon, but it would be rude to pretend she hadn't seen him.

The male kept with his scouting until he heard the howl, one he almost ignored but perhaps it could be one for recruitment. He was looking for a place to start fresh anyways, and he didn't care how far it was from his usual skills or where his abilities lied into. Finally, he could place a face to the howl he had just heard, she approached him. He didn't mind company, even though he wasn't the most expressive wolf in the world. "Hello,miss." He finally said with his usual calm yet a bit cold voice. "Were you calling for potential members? I am looking for a new pack to be useful again. I can fight and do anything needed." He says knowing no place would want freeloaders. "speech"

The male seemingly had heard her call, as he asked if she was seeking new members. "Yes, we are seeking members for a pack," she said somewhat hesitantly. "I am alpha of Avalon, a peaceful community raising livestock and selling what we produce from them. We do have many warriors among our members, and would not turn away another who wished to protect our members, but I do have to ask if you are certain that our lifestyle would be a good fit for you. Many warriors do not care for the life of a farmer, and I wouldn't want to make anyone feel obliged to continue on a path that doesn't suit them."
