The days had become longer and the sun had been shining more brightly with each passing day. While this might make a nice spring day for many, for the Klein family, it was simply another day of work. The world knew that the night belonged to Ashen. Twilight was in full swing as Chi and his ladies emerged from their den. Shaking out his monochromatic coat, the brute bid farewell to his family before moving to the lake that the pack has claimed.

Venom had mentioned that there were warriors within Ashen that needed or wanted some training and the dire giant had taken it upon himself to provide that training. Moving to where some sparring rings had been set up, Chimera tipped his head back and released a long, low howl, calling to him all who wished to learn. He proceeded to light several torches that had been set up around the area as well to provide ample light in the darkness. With the stars beginning to peek out from their heavenly abode, the brute seated himself in the grass and waited to see who will appear.

Chimera Klein

**Backdated to when Unagi and company where in Ashen**

The young pup has discovered that sunlight can make her pink eye hurt if she is out in it for too long. Unagi had decided to take a long nap in the afternoon when the light had caused her a headache and forced her to retreat to her family’s temporary den. By the time she stirs, twilight has descended on the lands of Ashen and the air has begun to cool. A call rings through the lands, calling for all warriors to come and learn and the eager girl’s ear perk.

Without hesitating, Unagi races toward the call, wishing to gather more information about fighting. While it had been for Ashen members, the girl hopes that whomever it is, will make an exception for her. Arriving quickly to the lake and, luckily, near the training rings, she races up to the huge black and white male. It does not escape her notice that he is like her and his coloration almost mirrored on her smaller frame. Coming to skidding halt in front of the man’s giant paws, the girl tips her head way back until she is gazing into his eyes.

Black and pink eyes shine brightly with curiosity as she lifts one of her small paws to her chest before moving it to lay gently over his. Unagi is a girl of few words but the gesture, at least, in her mind is showing him how similar she looks to him. With her small paw still on top of his, the rotund pup softly says, “Teach me.” A mentor to teach her fighting and looks like her? Yes, she is more than ready and willing to learn.


"Hattori-Klein Unagi"

His mother and father had already let them free for the night, and Renegade was deciding just what he wanted to do that evening. There was a very good reason for the Klein nocturnal lifestyle and the boy’s little pink nose was the obvious answer. Albinism ran strong through his family’s blood, and the sun therefore was their natural enemy. The young boy hadn’t had to suffer a burn yet, but his mother was quite strict about their schedule too.

When a call went out for training the boy knew he would be expected to show up. Venom made it clear that learning skills should be a Prince’s top priority. He sighed heavily, already feeling the weight of his position and the responsibilities he carried. Massive mismatched paws carried him to the lake from the ravine, his eyes eventually falling on his uncle Chimera and one of his nieces.

The boy gave a little nod to both before he sat down, hoping this wouldn’t be too rudimentary of a lesson.

"Renegade Klein"

He had only been back in Ashen for a few days so readjusting to the evening schedule that a lot of the Klein family kept was a bit of a struggle. He had begun to split the difference, waking up in the afternoon and going to bed very late in the night, and that seemed to be working fairly well. After all, someone had to patrol and do things during the day, right? It felt like a good compromise to him. Because of that, it was about half way through his "day" and had just finished eating some lunch when he heard his uncle calling some of the warriors together for training. He had been honing his skills well enough in navigation during his travels, but fighting was something he could always use some additional help with so he quickly cleaned up his muzzle and paws before setting off to join up with them at the edge of the lake. He gave his younger cousins a smirk and then turned his attention to Chimera, giving him a nod as he settled down onto his haunches to wait and see what they would be working on today.

"Sitri Klein-Destruction"

Nighttime in Boreas was the domain of the Klein family, and though Rogue lacked the albino gene much of his family possessed and as such had no apprehension towards the daylight, it was far easier to simply live a nocturnal lifestyle with the rest of his family. The Empress' youngest litter had been turned out for the evening to go explore and learn, and with some encouragement from their mother, he and his brother Renegade started heading out to the lake where their uncle was waiting with a lesson in mind. Learning was not always something Rogue enjoyed, but when it was on the subject of things he was taken by like fighting, then he was all in!

Leisurely strolling through the midnight woods, the young prince emerged at the lakeside training rings a few moments after his brother did. The midnight blue pup offered a smile and tip of his head to his monochromatic uncle, then padded over to sit beside Ren, giving his brother a playful nudge with his shoulder as he did so.

"Rogue Klein"

Chimera waited for a time and wolves began filing in. Four in total, which was a little disappointing, but it was better than no one. The two-toned brute hated wasting his time. These four whelps would do for students and, without further ado, Chimera got to work.

"Chimera Klein," he introduced himself simply. "Form pairs." Once his students paired up, the man approached him and seated himself near them. The first course of training would be hypothetical. The second course would be physical.

"You," he motioned to Unagi, who had come first. "How would you attack your opponent? Keep in mind their size, bulk, gifts." Once Unagi answered, Chimera posed the same question to the other three.

Chimera Klein

Unagi’s eyes sparkle with wonder as her tiny paw lays overtop of one the giant male’s own. But he doesn’t pay her much, or actually any, attention and the excited pup visibly wilts. Head droops and she quickly scuttles backwards, butt plopping down onto the ground as she keeps her head lowered and eyes on her white toes. Ears swivel around as she listens to the others arrive and join her, no words spoken until the last one arrives and seats themselves with the other pup that isn’t her. Only when the huge man introduces himself does the girl lift her gaze, expression as neutral as a pup can make it (which isn’t really neutral at all and shows the hurt she feels loudly) and they are instructed to form pairs.

Pink and black eyes dart over to the other two pups that are already seated beside each other and she offers a small, quiet sigh as she stands and moves to the oldest student in the area. Stopping in front of him, the girl looks up at the red and black male, that she knows is related to her but doesn’t completely understand how, and offers her name, “I’m Unagi.” Lips tick up for the briefest of moments before the grin is falling away and she looks to Chimera… just as he points to her. Eyes blink wide in surprise and she swiftly turns her attention back to the full-grown adult in front of her.

Eyes dart over him quickly and do not find any elongated teeth, talons, or other mutations that would easily stand out. With a tilt of her head, the young pup eyes the tall man up and down before she looks back to Chimera and says, “I would go for his ankles.” The words are confident and the pup knows that, while she is too small to do any kind of real damage to him, the ankles have tons of tendons that she could sever to hobble the tall man and possibly even bring him down to her level. Her dad has already taught her a thing or two about how fighting at her current height.


"Hattori-Klein Unagi"

He and Rogue somewhat reluctantly showed up to training that night when their uncle called for learning. The young Prince was a bit surprised at the absence of Bel, she always seemed ahead of the curve when it came to lessons. Still, he'd enjoy his time well enough with his brother. He returned the playful bump of his shoulder as Chimera was swift to demand their attention and get to business. Kind of like their mother, but much more strict.

They were instructed to form pairs, and it was obvious the two brothers were forming their own as their teacher pointed to Unagi, Ren's... niece he believed, and sought her knowledge. She seemed quite confident, but she was a Klein and that was to be expected. Of course the rest of them wouldn't be let off and the question rounded to himself and Rogue. Ren shoulder bumped his beother again and came up with an answer that always worked when they play fought together.

"I'd wrap my arms around his neck and bite his cheek." much like he had seen his own cat companion wrestle.
