Kewpie watched Eraithus as he started to dig a hole. Next to him was a half rotten bear cub. The meat was no good to eat and perhaps he should have placed the carrion elsewhere. However he’d morbidly taken away most if not all the flesh. So what was he up to now? Eraithus had found himself a new hobby. He’d mark this grave, come back in a season or so, and collect the pristine bones of the animal. Bones made up his armor and since collecting that well, his bird companion couldn’t help but be amused.
"How long do you think this one will take?" Kespie asked from her position next to him. Eraithus was just starting to push the body into the six feet deep hole he’d made. Hearing a thud as he jumped out of the hole next to Kespie. He shrugged shaking off the dirt from his blue pelt. "One season at most, meat was already coming off and I couldn’t even salvage the pelt." He sighed sitting at the edge of the hole. A break before he covered it in dirt.

Eraithus has a permanant bend in his tail, giving it a crooked appearance. Some of his art does not depict this.

Another day, and this time Morticia was bored. She wandered the pack lands, unable to find her companions without calling them. Well, maybe they didn’t want to play anyway. Her tail flicked back and forth behind her, searching for something different. Something new. Hunting had been a fun way to fill her days but she wasn’t sure if she wanted to hunt the same old things. Maybe she could try to make something? Her mother had shown her how to make a trap, and that had been fun. Hmm, what if she made traps and set them up around Insomnia? Then she could trap more things and try to add to her bone collection! That thought sparked in her brain and Morticia perked up. She lifted her head, about to head back toward her storage den when someone in the distance caught her eye. Hmm… the blue guy she had seen at the meeting. She couldn’t remember his name, but he was next to some sort of bird and putting something in the ground. Morticia would pick up the pace, approaching the man. “What is BlueCoat putting in the hole? Did BlueCoat’s friend die?” Morticia asked, curious if it was a companion he was burying. That would be sad. She glanced at the owl and then tried to peer around the guy into the hole, the yearling’s curiosity pushing past any manners she might have had. |

Eraithus had started to raise his paw to scratch behind his ear when a voice broke his thoughts. Kespie looked over at the yearling twisting her head upside down out of curosity. A surprise to him, was this one of hers? Eraithus grinned before stepping aside a little to let the yearling see the rotting bear.
.
He chuckled at her words, "Fortunately no, dear Bluecoat Eraithus is burying this bear cub carcass to later collect its bones." his crooked tail curled over his front paws. "Its a new hobby of mine, you can make weapons and armor out of bones but this little guy, I just want the bones as a souvenir." something new made him happy.

The sad creature in the hole looked as though it had been dead for some time. It was rotting and she could see some of the bone, but the flesh and fur was a mess. The man spoke, confirming it was no companion, but that he was burying the cub in hopes of collecting the bones later. Morticia’s eyes lit up at that, and she began to bounce up and down as her tail wagged back and forth. “Eraithus is going to have to collect lots more bones to have as many as Morticia! Morticia collects bones too!” Her grin had become wide and she jumped to the other side of Eraithus and his companion and lowered her front half to the ground. “Morticia could show Eraithus after Bear Cub is buried! Morticia has a cool skull! The skull is the best!” |

Kespie hooted almost like a chuckle the owl hopping onto Eraithus back. She settled on his right shoulder. The man shifted watching morticia with nothing but affection. If anything was a soft spot for him it was kids. Her excitement made him happy.
"No kidding I just started collecting!" he stood and moved over to the dirt hed dug out. "Wanna help me bury it? Im excited to see that skull!" he began pawing the dirt into the hole. It shouldnt take long and she didnt have to help if she didnt want.
