Leave it to henry to come up with this stupid idea. Mika had hated the ship before and they still hated it now. Turning their head towards the hole in the hull a grumble growl ran in their throat. Their head was killing them today. But theyd promied themselves theyd find put why and how to get Tanelan back. Almost like the glue that held their lives together.

"We served as a slave on a bandit ship." Mika said softly. Anger in his eyes as he glared at he wood. Things they were better off forgetting Mika thought. "Our mother sold us to them before our second year." it was the first time any of them had said something about their past.

They had come North, just as Beauregard said they would. He could feel anxiety in the pit of his stomach as they stepped onto the Anxtiox. When Mika spoke, his voice was soft. But there was an underlying anger. Anger Beau could see as he looked at his partner. His ears fell and a whine left his throat. “I didn’t think parents were capable of such cruelty.” He would draw closer to them again and let out a sigh. “...Is… is remembering this going to hurt you guys?” He was concerned, wondering if they should have come at all. The wind blew around them, and down the deck he could hear Blind scrambling after something. He never knew what it was like to be without his freedom, and he never wanted to. He felt his fur bristle at the injustice they had been put through. “I don’t want you guys to do this if it causes more harm…”

Mika couldn’t help it, he laughed at Beaus comment about their parents. He stopped clearing his throat, "it was probably the kindest thing she could’ve done. It was that or have dad kill us too like he did our brother." nah fuck his parents though. They lowered their head they’d face it head on of course the only way he could deal with problems. Mika stopped at the entrance when Beau asked if this was going to hurt them. Mika reeled at the thought of the dizzy spells.

"I can’t promise anything, but I do fucking promise I’ll drag tanelan out myself if I have to." he snarled racing into the ship and into the deck. Mika moved to the edge of the wood. Tearing his paws into the rotting frozen planks. You scrubbed that? Are you sure you don’t need your eyes checked strange one. that’s what the crew had called them. Sometimes he’d been tan other times Mika. Mostly Mika, who’d gotten tired of trying to correct others when they called him the name of a stranger. Mika stopped pawing at the wood sitting down as he stared at the floorboards not realizing he was shivering.

The laughter immediately told Beauregard that selling their children to slavers wasn’t the end of the suffering that his partners had endured. It pained him, knowing that they had endured such cruelty. It made his stomach churn and then man was sure that, for the first time in his life, he felt hatred for another. At Mika’s explanation a slight growl slipped past Beau’s lips. “That doesn’t make what they did right.” He was firm in that fact. He drew closer to the male. No matter what they faced now, he wanted to be beside them and keep them all safe. They meant so much to him… Mika, Benson, Henry, Tan… he loved each of them, even if that love was a little different when it came to Benson. He went to move a paw over Mika’s own but the purple wolf had raced up onto the ship. The cream male sighed softly, trailing after them.

Mika clawed at the floorboards, angry at first. But when that anger faltered, and his mate had sat, he was shivering. Beau was sure it wasn’t just from the chill of the North. He would come up alongside them, his blue gaze worried. Beau did not sit, but he brushed his body up against Mika’s own. There had to be a reason that they were remembering things now. “The wolves who held you, who were they? Are they still out there?” He didn’t like the idea of asking things that might trigger more memories but… ignoring it wouldn’t be good either. He needed to help them through this.
