The further east she travelled, the colder it got, even here in the emerald valley there was a dusting of snow across the ground. It made her breath come out in steamy clouds and it made her nose sting and her eyes water. She would much rather be warming herself by the tar pits right now, even if they did stink almost as bad as the zorilla that bounded along at her side. She gave the little thing a wide smile around the vines grasped in her jaw. They were kinda like the reeds Mac had showed her, surely she could work out some sort of snare to try and help her catch something a bit bigger than a rabbit, right?

She had them all laid out before her, now she just needed to remember how to... twist them together the right way...

It's time to raise the curtain

It wasn't that Delphi enjoyed looking for trouble... but today she might have been. If she left Heidinn lands, at least no one would be able to tell her to go back. No one to help her or save her or tell her she was breaking the rules. Surprised that she had been able to shake Strai and any of the others, Delphi moved west away from the cold. As the snow became thinner and the breeze ever so slightly warmer, she loosened up her steps. Ah, this could be nice! Chattering to her companions that trailed along behind her, she didn't notice the small green girl until Binti was letting out a snarl.

Stopping in her tracks, she turns to look before smiling at the sight. "Oi! Cricket!" Delphi calls out as her torn tail wags happily behind her. "What're you up to out here?" She says as she approaches the other girl and looks down at the reeds on the snowy ground. "Need some help?"

Cricket flinched when someone called her name, her fur bristling on instinct as her head whipped toward the sound. Her zorilla friend chuckled at her response and the girl quickly shook her surprise off when she spotted a familiar pair making their way towards her. Her tail beat furiously at her back in a welcoming wave, her feet tip-tapping as they drew closer. "Delpheeeeee!" She hadn't seen the girl since they took on that stoned tree kangaroo way down on the other side of the land bridge! "Watcher doin' up this way?!" If she was closer by, then maybe they could hang out together some more and she wouldn't have to pester Ghoul all the time. "I'm just... tryna make a net or a snare or something to try and catch something someone bigger than me could eat." She shrugged. She was trying her best to support the pack that had taken her in, but there wasn't a lot of her to go around.

Delphi picks up her pace, her paws dancing in the snow, until she is right in front of Cricket. She can't help but grin a wide grin at the girl when Cricket calls out her name. Tucking her legs underneath herself into a sitting position, she practically vibrates in place. "Oh, I live on that mountain now!" Delphi lifts a paw to point behind her at Fenrir's Maw. "Wanted to come out here to forage for some plants," the girl adds on as she turns her attention back to Cricket and her zorilla. Binti sidles up beside her and stares curiously at the two small girls.

"Need some help?" Delphi asks happily as she takes another look at Cricket's project.

When the girl mentioned living on the mountain now Cricket gave a happy wiggle! They could see each other all the time now right?! And when she mentioned plants, the girl looked to the reeds between her paws and swept them away, plants were good too! Insomnia members were always getting themselves into trouble and there wasn't exactly anyone around who was good at patching them up, so she thought, it was probably a good idea she got some more practice in. "Plants are good! There should still be some mint 'r ginger around 'ere somewhere, maybe even some o' them C...c... The flowers, theres two 'C' flowers that we might be able to track down, look kinda th' same, ones white and ones yellow so they should stick out!" She wondered if Delphi knew the names, Cricket hadn't really had a lot of formal training so most of what she knew had been picked up from eavesdropping.

Delphi was more than excited to get to spend time with her friend. Her body wiggles happily as Cricket explains how there should be quite a few plants in the area that they could go collect. The ones that she listed Delphi was familiar with. Ginger and Mint, definitely. A lot of mint grew on the slopes of Fenrir's Maw. She leans back and thinks about what two plants Cricket could be thinking of. "C...c... Oh! Chamomille has gotta be one, right?" She lets her tail wag furiously behind her as she waits for Cricket's approval. "I dunno about the other one though. Not familiar with any other flowers that start with c," Delphi lifts a paw and hums around her breath. "Well, I'll go look and if we find it, maybe the name will come to you," Delphi smiles as she turns to the field that is full of a myriad of plants. Where were they to even start?
