This forest was eerie, almost as if all life had been drained from the trees and other flora here. Yet it was surprisingly beautiful with the layer of snow on the ground, the crunching of the stuff underpaw feeling comfortable to the man. He kept moving through the wooded area, until his gaze fell upon a spring. Around it were stones that seemed to glow, lighting up the water in their center. There was something else too, a tiny femme that had been near the water. What was she doing out here alone? Beauregard blinked with surprise, lifting his head. Before Blind had a chance to attempt discouraging him, the ashen cream male called out to her. “Excuse me, miss? Are you alright out here?” He hoped she wasn’t in danger out here. Was there another pack nearby she might belong to? The pond and runestones could wait. She seemed to be looking for something... or maybe he was misinterpreting what she was doing?

A soft gasp pulled from Aia as a voice sounded behind her. She'd been so preoccupied with the fountain before her and the swimming, glowing fish that all of her other senses had shut themselves off. Aia wasn't a fighter by any means so she was thankful that the big brute seemed friendly. Bright blue eyes lifted upwards as the minuscule fae searched the man's face for any signs of underhandedness or ill intent, but she saw none.

"I'm uh, I'm sorry." What she was apologizing for, she didn't quite know. Maybe for being caught unaware? Dark ears pinned to her skull for a moment in embarrassment before she offered her name. "My name is Aia and I'm quite alright. Just... distracted." One small paw rose and the young woman gestured towards the luminescent fish.

Beauregard's intention was to make sure the tiny femme was alright but instead his question had startled her. Beau's ears flicked back apologetically… only to have the woman apologize to him. Their interaction was off to a rougher start, but the far made the effort to mend it. She introduced herself as Aia, explaining that she had been distracted as she motioned to the glowing pool. Beau let his gaze flick to the pool and the back to Aia before giving a nod of his head. "I can understand why it might distract you." He heard a grunt at his side and glanced down as Blind took off. Ah well. His gaze returned to Aia and he offered a small smile. He meant her no harm, and Blind, grumpy as she was, would not be a problem either. He drew closer to the pool, curious as he looked upon it. The fish were illuminated, and Beau arched a brow at them. So strange… Now that he was closer to Aia he could smell her pack scent. Ahh, so she did belong to a pack. He let his attention shift back to her. He needed to introduce himself after all. “My name is Beauregard Ravenwood, though Beau is preferred. I am an ally of Ethne, on a pilgrimage to start my own pack.” He picked up the light scent of vanilla on her coat too, and curiosity picked at him. “Are you a healer, perhaps?” Beauregard asked. “My mates have a rather… unique condition and I’m not really sure how to help them…” "Speech" 'Thought.'
