★ Random Event: Supply scramble!
A wandering group of rouges has left behind a cache of healing supplies, all sorts of goodies any healer would happily make use of. But there’s a catch. The weather has been terrible for the last few days and the downpour is still going strong. The ground beneath your paws is wet and muddy, and the condition of the store isn’t faring any better. The ceiling is leaking and puddles are spreading across the small space. Act quick to collect and preserve what you can before the cache is ruined by the elements.

Paws carried the earthen healer through the downpour. Her eyes squinted against the storm, and her ears were pushed back as she braced herself to walk through the weather. She hadn't intended to be out in a storm like this, but she had been collecting herbs herself that she needed to add to her own cache of herbs back at the den she'd made for herself.
Her nose twitched, catching the faintest scent of wolves who had been in the area before, along with the stronger smell of herbs. Following the scent, Cheiren found the cache of herbs. She paused for a moment, not wanting to steal from another healer. But then she noticed water leaking into the cache from the ceiling. If she didnt start to take some of the herbs from here, they would all get ruined and then they would be of no use to anyone.
Acting quickly, Cheiren began to grab pawfuls of the herbs and back out of the cache. Her main thought was saving whatever herbs she could from this cache before they all were lost to the storm. As she pulled out the pawfuls, she would careful tie them into neat bundles with the large leaves she had with her. It would help her carry them back to her den, where she would wait for it to stop raining so that she could begin to dry them out under the sun.

Shit. She had gotten caught out in a storm that had started a few days ago, and now she was scrambling once again in an attempt to find shelter after she tried and failed for the umpteenth time to make it back home. She wasn't terribly far from home, but definitely far enough that she hadn't really been able to make it back in this storm. The supplies she had with her had gotten drenched to the point that the makeshift pack had fallen apart and everything fell into the rain-soaked mud. She cursed out loud as she decided to leave it behind, not willing to stick it out in the rain to try and save it. She had nothing to carry it in or a way to salvage any of it right now, and her primary concern was finding better shelter. Through the rain and mud, she was barely able to detect the vague scent of others that seemed to have passed through, though she couldn't determine how long ago. She nearly passed up investigating, but then the stronger smell of mint among other herbs, and the fresh scent of another wolf piqued her curiosity. Maybe they had found shelter? If they had, well...whether they liked it or not, she had every thought to intrude and take up temporary residence until the storm passed. And maybe she'd swipe a few herbs for herself since she had lost her own stash getting stuck out in this weather. With a smirk, Rue sought out the source and quickly found it, barging into the den where she found the other wolf, and threatened by the rain, several herbs scattered about the ground. "Is this your place? Are those yours? Rue wants some!" She exclaimed loudly before heading over to the cache and started hurriedly picking some up like a greedy dog swiping food off the counter. "It's wet outside, Rue's gonna hang out here, too." She decided.

Creature could not believe the weather as of late. The days were dreary and wet, rain pouring down until night ran into the day. She was searching for shelter from the storm when she saw what appeared to be an abandoned store, though she could not smell anyone through the rain. Though it did not sound abandoned. Taking a peek inside, Creature's blood-red eyes spied two females, one was much louder than the other. This did not stop Creature, who snuck in and looked around seeing left-behind herbs that she would need for the coming season. Quietly picking some up, Creature made to sit down and wrap her black and rainbow-colored wolf-hide blanket around the herbs like a pouch. She said nothing, just sat to herself in the corner of the leaky shop and hoped the rain would pass over them soon.
Thread with caution: This wolf is capable of horrendous acts of violence and frequently enjoys eating other wolves; even family is not safe. She is highly unstable and will not hold herself back from snapping. Very mature rated, very brutal, be afraid. Be very afraid. As her brother, Preacher may crash any thread regardless of label or tag. |
