Kotori walked the border of his land, scenting the spring air.  Spring.  Kotori’s gaze ahead of him included plenty of areas that were still patched with snow.  Hell, it had rained last night and there had been snowflakes mixed in with that rain.  This was going to be one of those years that winter just didn’t want to give up its grip on the terrain.  Oh well, it did have one benefit.  Kotori wasn’t just seeing snow now but the clear hoofprint of a good-sized deer.

Dinner was nearby.  Kottori let out a howl, offering that any wolves who might want to go on a deer hunt could come join him.  The dumb thing might actually even be on the pack land, it seemed to be staying along the edge of their turf for some insane reason.  Did it want to come but feared going to close? Stupid deer, it had already gotten to close.

His steps were slowly returning to normal. The limp that used to claim his movements were no longer present. If anything, closed wounds across his chest were no visible. Fur missing from the area due to the slow healing process taking place. Though trips to the hot springs did help subside some of the pain. Even Varushka’s soothing licks came in handy. Their relationship now blooming into something more after his confession. No matter how slow they took things, she was his. A possessive feelings washed over him at the thought.

A howl pierced the cold air. Rain mixed with snow leaving the grounds quite mushy from the night before. Winter clearly did not wish to leave just yet. Despite Spring having already claimed its turn for the next couple months. Coming into view where Kotori stood. He gave a simple bark in greeting.
