Lesson on the go

This seemed the perfect place for hunt training.  Kotori wanted to spend plenty of time getting used to this place if he was really going to make this land his.  There was a softness to the land, something pleasant and peaceful across the landscape.  It was also a fool who fell into a trap of that peace too easily.  Wolves weren’t the only predators that roamed the nook.

Today probably wasn’t about killing bears though, unless one was determined to present itself.  Now he was traveling across the eland with Malico.  The young Elysium wolf had asked for hunting practice.  Kotori knew there were deer out here, the scent left a clear trail.  He’d taken Malico far enough in to find the scent and told the boy to lead the way.  

Malico could find the prey, and make up the plan of attack, and if the fit was a feasible plan Kotori would go with it and assist.  If the plan was too risky or doomed to fail he’d offer some suggestions on how to change it.  This was the best way to learn in Kotori’s mind, trial and error.  Kotori’s job was to back him up right now.
