Out and about
Open with baby hannah
Clumsily her paws carried her deeper and away from the rapids themselves. The white and yellow creature landed on a rock and she crouched trying to stay far enough away so that it didn’t notice her. In her mind it wasn’t a butterfly. This was a new alien animal with furry legs and two heads. "I’ll catch you and study you, you little beast." she decided wiggling her back legs side to side, now how did one sneak up on a two headed beast with four eyes it’d be easier to see her.
But in Harumi's defense, was anyone really expecting them to listen for that long? They had done it to follow Hanataro, too, with the intent of telling on their sibling and getting all the praise if any of their rules were broken. Never mind the fact that they were breaking the rules, too. Their Papa and Outou-chan would understand, they're sure.
Or they would have, if Hanataro hadn't moved away from the Rapids and Harumi, still determined to tattle, had found themselves following behind (much more reluctantly). No that they were really here, it was difficult to look away from the rapids, but they were losing track of their sibling. They realize it with a jolt, and pick up the pace just to see Hanataro- staring at a butterfly...? It's pretty, sure, but it doesn't seem to be doing much.
"Hey, Hanataro!" They greet, loudly and excitedly, any semblance of stealth out the window. "Do you want me to catch that thing for you?"
And they're not really waiting for an answer before they're moving into a puppy crouch, waiting for the go-ahead to jump.
Hanataro had turned out not to be much of a rule breaker, she was too busy trying to unthink the uncomfortable feelings she had. When her sibling Haruko jumped into the picture her thoughts from the beast were shattered though a soft wag of her tail started. "Hi Harumi!" Hanataro squeaked but then felt soft panic settle over as she watched her sibling about to pounce on the beast that she had been so delicately tracking. Hanataro sheepishly frowned taking a few quiet steps forward and trying to place herself between her sibling and the beast.

They frown when their sister moves between them and the little winged beast, and their frown only deepens at her words. Peering over her shoulder, they can tell the butterfly isn't doing much. Especially not whatever Hanataro thought it may do. Was it even capable of doing anything like that?
Regardless, they sit back on their haunches with a huff, plans of catching the little thing officially ruined. "It's just a bug, Hanataro." Maybe Harumi wasn't seeing the potentials of what the bug could do.
...Or, more likely, they just thought it would make a good present for their parents.
Hanataro seemed offended, she sputtered as her sibling stated it was just a bug. JUST a bug. She scoffed pressing her paw to her chest as she watched the butterfly resting upon its rock. "Just a bug, harumi are you blind?" Hanataro crouched and began to try and crawl closer to the bug. Best watch it until Harumi decided they officially wanted to catch the thing. She studied it and grinned watching how the sunlight hit its wings.
