not *really* trespassing

He's not really trespassing. Would they really expect that Tojo had just let Erik leave on his own? Yeah he was basically a yearling now, but the boy was still just a boy, and it was a long walk. Tate was quick to volunteer to bring his brother. It would be a nice excuse to see Bramble. Really, that's the thought that clouded his head pretty much the whole walk. Quick to send Kaiju off with Erik to the border of the grove... shit, how was he going to do this.

For now, he would just linger out here. It was Tate's dog that had called for Ember, so hopefully Bramble knew that he was close by too. He didn't want to steal Erik's thunder, either. This was his mission, handed down by another part time father, but Celeste was a friend to Hattori as well so... he supposed it was his business after all. Right. Hopefully she'd come down on her own, but Tate wasn't averse to asking the first person he saw if it was cool for him to just walk in and say hi.

It was more red tape than he'd usually be fussed with, but it seemed he was representing more interests than just his own, so Tate would play by the rules this time. Well, play by the rules for the most part, as he plucked one of the last ripe autumn berries from the vine and snacked on it as he waited. If no one showed up, then he'd go find the kids and at least pretend to do his job chaperoning... and find Bramble after.
