Of course it was a bear. Why wouldn't it be a bear? This was the north. It was nice and frigid. Perfect for the big, fluffy brutes that looked more like giant, moving snow drifts. The puff tailed fae had brought Rhazien and Ezekiel with her today, specifically seeking out one of the big fuzzies. Mismatched eyes of ice and mint scanned the snowy landscape. It was a little difficult to see with the wind gusting over the plain. Swirls of snow puffed up into the air, obscuring the natural detail, but Kaino didn't have to wait long. Out there, on the edge of her line of sight, an off-white mass began to move. Sultry tones spoke to the males accompanying her. "A new fur to keep us warm. We just have to collect it." Kaino broke off from the others, curling around the back side of the bear. Oh, it was a fat one. The fur would be big enough to hold a huge puppy pile. Hopefully they didn't put too many holes in it. The silver and lavender fae rushed forward, teeth biting into the heel of the bear. Thankfully the sound was covered in a crust of ice and they didn't have to fight deep snow. They could be quick on their paws here. The bear growled and began to spin but Kaino danced along with it, refusing to relinquish her hold. "Speech"

Following behind his beloved niece and the boy who claimed to be her distant cousin, Rhazien couldn’t help but study the duo. Both were the same age, one he knew very well, and the other, a new chain in their armor. Admittedly, he had a rather interesting relationship with the girl… as he did all of his nieces and nephews. Quite protective over her, given she was an only child. And my, was she a beautiful one. He’d never turn down the opportunity to slaughter something. But, his primary reason for joining her on this little hunt, was so he could spend time with her.

Locating the lumbering beast was an easy feat, even with the sudden change in weather. Snow flurries rose into the air, lining their coats, helping them blend in with the snowy landscape. “Any furs you’d like, I will harvest for you, Kaino.” Crooning her name, flashing her his devilishly suave smile. If the girl desired a soft pelt to sleep on, he would help her get it. Shifting his gaze to Zee, he expected the boy to do the same.

Watching her encircle the bear, Rhazien took a more forward approach. Leaping out into the clearing, snarling, snapping his jaws. He would draw the bear's attention, so Kaino could bite into its heel. And, once it began to spin and tried to dislodge his niece. Rhazien would lunge forward, grabbing onto its shoulder with his serrated fangs.

"Speech"

With Kaino and Rhazien as traveling companions, the boy waits for the appearance of a bear. While Ezekiel hadn’t really gone out of his way to get to know the rest of his distant family, he also has not denied them any requests for help. While his expression has been schooled to appear bored and distant, the Saxe boy cannot deny the heat of excitement that has begun to warm his blood. The musk of the creature has lit his nerves on fires and they tingling with anticipation while he carefully keeps his expression neutral.

Why? Well, just because they bare his surname, doesn’t mean that Zeke completely trusts them. In fact, since they are all Saxe’s maybe Ezekiel knows better than most that he cannot trust them. It doesn’t bother him though because they are all beasts with similar appetites and, as long as they keep their paws off his beloved sister, then he will no quarrel with them. And, since they are family, he will even go out of his way to be… understanding with them. Kindness isn’t a word he knows but Zeke will happily tolerate them all as long as their interests align.

The wind picks up the drifts of snow, throwing them at the trio to cover their coats and dull the brighter colors of their coats. Ears are pinned back against his head as he attempts to keep the frozen water out his ears while his eyes scan the blurry landscape for the signs of the polar bear. Kaino spots it first and her sultry tones pull his deep blue gaze to her. Blinking, he simply dips his head in agreement, casting a glance to Rhazien and finding his hard gaze directed toward him. The mask slips a little as his tips tug into a smirk and he watches as first Kaino, then Rhazien break away, leaving him alone to watch their approaches. The girl takes a heel while the bigger, stronger male takes it head on and Zeke absently nods to himself, agreeing that this is the most logic approach to fighting the beast.

And then there is him.

Ezekiel is the wild card, the ace in the hole that no one is expecting and he decides to live up that title. Kicking off, he races into the fray, running up from behind the bear. However, unlike Kaino, he does not settle for a back leg and his muscle suddenly bunch and release as he leaps high into the air. Soaring over the bear’s rump, he lands heavily on the creature’s back and quickly hunkers down. The body underneath him sags for a moment as it compensates for the extra weight and he carefully crawls forward until he can latch onto the area between the ears. With loud growls his thrashes his head, forelegs snaking out to wrap around the thick neck while his hind legs squeeze in the sides of the bear in an effort to keep him balanced for the wild ride that is sure to come.

"Ezekiel Saxe"

The huge, dark man promised her a fur and Kaino gave a genuine laugh of pleasure, the sound somehow innocent and sultry at the same time. "Oh, Uncle, you spoil me so." Kai would take him up on that offer. A creature of comfort, there was nothing nicer than drowning in a pile of thick, decadent furs at the end of a long day. Kaino shot her uncle another sweet smile before breaking off to do her duty. Rhazien attacked one side, Kaino attacked another. Then Ezekiel came from behind and leaped atop the bear. Hey, whatever worked for him. It would keep the attention away from the lavender and grey woman, at least. Kaino released her hold, choosing instead to duck under the bear and rip away at the soft flesh connecting body with hip. Teeth slid into that furry flesh and Kai's mouth came away with blood. The bear lowed and began to spin, dragging the wolves along with it. Well, except for Zeke. He went for a ride instead. "Speech"

Well now, the boy who claimed to be a cousin was full of surprises. Even though he was a larger male - smaller than Rhazien, but still large - he encircled the beast until he was behind it. Rhazien became aware of Zeke’s position when the bear sunk forward from his weight, causing it to stumble toward him. To avoid being trampled, Rhazien was forced to release his hold and backpedal. Avoiding the fumbling paws of the beast with only inches to spare. Spitting the chunk of fur in his mouth onto the ground, Rhazien’s eyes narrowed and he snarled. Irritated he had to let go of the bear’s shoulder, just so the boy could have a joy ride.

Kaino was in his peripheral vision, her darting purple frame forcing his attention towards her. She was sliding beneath the bear, attacking it’s hip joint. In that moment, a sense of alarm shot down his spine- causing his pelt to become erect. If she got trampled, he would be pissed. Rushing forward, he grabbed onto the bear's shoulder again. Pushing against its spinning motion, as he wanted to add resistance and keep it from trampling Kaino.

"Speech"

While it was not Ezekiel’s intention, to almost cause the beast to almost trample Rhazien when he leaps on top of the bear, the boy should have taken that possibility into consideration. Oh well, the old guy is okay, so no harm done… right? Growling and remembering that Kaino wishes to take this bear’s fur, he settles in and clamps down on the tender flesh between the bear’s ears.

It roars, spins and attempts to dislodge the trio but Zeke rides the predator like it is a rodeo bull while the others continue to attack.  Snarling, the boy sinks his weight toward the opposite shoulder that Rhazien is pushing against in an attempt to force the polar bear to stumble and fall over. At the same time, his teeth strike out, grabbing ahold of the ear on that side and pulling, earning roar himself a roar as it teeters to the side and he readies to jump clear once the beast actually begins to fall.

"Ezekiel Saxe"

With all of the back and forth, the bear didn't know where to go or who to strike. That worked out well for all three of the wolves involved. Zeke was still up top and Uncle Rhaz was doing... something. Kaino had slid out from beneath the bear with ease, trusting her own agility to keep her safe. There was never a chance of being crushed beneath the bear.

As the beast began to topple, Kaino leaped forward, taking the opportunity to sink her teeth into the soft flesh just behind the bears jaw. With a mighty rip and a thrash of her head, Kaino severed the artery that provided precious lifeblood to the bear. A fountain of crimson erupted and the beast shuddered in shock. There was no reason to keep holding on, so Kai released the bear and pranced backwards a few paces, watching as it slowly emptied out and died.
