Medusa had tasked her with gathering a group of wolves and heading to the willows to give it a good look over, weigh the pros and cons, and so forth. Other groups would make their way out and scout the terrain, fight off predators, even check for good sources of prey, water, and herbs. Widow herself had never been to the willows, and so she took the time to make the trip out before summoning others. Just in case they had all been here before, as the leader of this team she didn't want to be uninformed.

The willow trees would offer nice shading and the water seemed cool, calm enough to soak and bathe while not nearly as worrisome as falling into one of the tarpits. Rabbits and other rodents scurried away as she wandered, and she was even pleased to see that it was a fairly sizable area, so all in all it seemed pretty useful. The only concern she could think that she had was that it seemed overgrown and would require some work to maintain, but she wanted others opinions. Maybe she was missing something, or perhaps someone had an experience here that was worth noting.

Once she'd given the willows a good self guided tour, she settled underneath one of the willows and called for the group to join her.

A call from her aunt Widow was all Morticia needed to get to her paws and see what was up. She knew her mother wanted to expand Insomnia, to get more room for members and the pups… and get more resources to feed everyone. So as Morticia entered the new land they were supposed to be looking over she let her dual-toned eyes trail over the terrain. Overgrown, lush… there was a lot of greenery here, which was sure to attract prey of various sizes. Rodents would love hiding in the undergrowth and birds could nest safely in the branches of the willows. The willows themselves were kind of like a shelter over the area that would prevent much rain from seeping through their thick leaf coverage.

Morticia hummed to herself, so swept up in looking over things that she almost ran into Widow. Startling back, a wide grin appeared on her maw. “Widow! The willows are a good place for prey! Rodents like overgrown spots, and the willows are good for birds, meaning eggs. Grass is good and soft too, and could bring big prey in warm seasons~” Something that made the hunter quite happy. And it showed by how she practically glowing as she shared this info. Not that Morticia was the sort to stay down for long.

"Speech," 'Thought.'

Mental health (particularly depression and anxiety) is extremely bad. Currently unable to handle IC conflict or conflict between characters, pack related or individual. I am struggling to post even simple things and will not be able to continue with thread if approached. Sorry for the inconvenience but I just can't right now.

Mortica has two companions - An indigo bunting and a Mexican milk snake. Unless otherwise mentioned IC, assume that they are close by.

Illusion trotted through the dense forest, her keen senses guiding her toward the meeting place where her mother had summoned others. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth, and the sounds of rustling leaves and distant bird calls surrounded her. As she padded along, her thoughts drifted to the purpose of the meeting. Many of which topics didn't particularly interest Illusion. She found the dynamics of pack politics tedious and often wondered why they bothered with such trivial matters. But she was young, so she assumed those kinds of things would fall into place eventually for her. Unlike other things.

However, despite her disinterest, Illusion couldn't shake the feeling of curiosity about how she should react to her mother's plans. She often struggled to understand and emulate the emotions of others. Should she feign enthusiasm to appease her mother, or simply remain indifferent? Those were the thoughts she mulled as she drew near, lost in her thoughts until she was close enough to hear voices. Illusion suddenly snapped her attention upwards, and caught sight of another wolf up ahead. The wolf's fur was unusually colored, and while Illusion knew she was a pretty little thing.. She hated the thought of someone else being more… striking, colorwise or not. A pang of jealousy flickered through the girl as she watched the wolf approach her mother with familiarity. Why was everyone trying to steal her mother’s attention? Suppressing the surge of envy, Illusion quickened her pace, joining the small gathering and in particular, she sat herself next to her – a small paw landing atop her mother’s much bigger one in a show of affection.
