The band had moved. No longer did the annoyance of bears and harshness of stabbing cold winds prevent him from being around. Instead, he seemed to be lingering a lot more as of late. Many already having found their place of residency. Others still contemplating where they’d be laying their heads. However, unlike them, Cifarelli enjoyed the prospect of being in the depths of nature itself. Whatever elements that would deem themselves worthy to come forth from the skies. One always found him right smack dead in the middle of it all. Today held no difference. Summer’s heat pierced down on all who’d stood beneath its gaze. The sun centered in a canvas of nothing but blue. Such intensity caused him to pant in annoyance. His coat alone doing nothing to stop to the onslaught of such heaviness. And yet, he only stuck to the shadowed darkness to provide some type of coolness. Sounds of rushing water beckoning him to satisfy his aching thirst. As paws moved effortlessly over the landscape and t’wards the cool breeze wafting off the surface. A breath of relief found his tongue lapping up the cold liquid. Quickly chilling warmed insides to a more pleasant temperature. Something just off to his right snapped his attention. Ears back with teeth exposed from drawn black lips. There was a rustle. A high pitched noise and next, silence. The thought to investigate crossed his mind; until, he saw wings flutter and fly away from the scene. A snake clutched within sharp talons. Such was the way of life. Predators hunting their prey. Sadly, the situation had not come to full resolution. As the Saxe male crept forward, he finally came to notice a small nest. Most of the eggs were empty. Leaving him to realize either they escaped or were, too, dead. Captured by the enemies of these lands. He shrugged with a mild expression. Nearly turning to return back to his patrol of the area when something caught his eye. One of the eggs still remained. Hidden mongst those that lie vacant, he watched as it broke away. The soft outer shell revealing something he thought quite impossible. Their old homelands held such species of snakes. Here, Cifa couldn’t hold back the feeling of joy coursing through him. Quickly picking up the slimy thing and heading back to his area of peace. "Speaks"

Absinth had been taking in the new surroundings of the Plains. It had been... difficult to part with her beautiful den, but she could always make a new one. Again and again, as many times as it took. She had been in the process of claiming a new one, one made within a few boulders, and dugout below. Perfect for her, seeing as she liked her privacy. But it was during her search for sufficient bedding materials that she stumbled across one of Sephiran's... kin. A man of crimson eyes, and a dark physique. She did not know his name. She saw him before once, maybe twice - but never one on one. Better late than never, though. Absinth was no meek woman to avoid a challenge, or a possible thrill.
With emerald eyes blazing, Absinth emerged from behind the dense foliage. Her optics having scoped out his discovery of the bird and it's prey, but what she did not expect was for the man to retrieve a slimy creature from the aftermath. She observed the scene with a curious tilt of her head, her intrigue cast over her charcoal face like a shadow. It was impossible to refrain from opening her mouth, from moving to announce herself.
"Well, well, what do we have here?" The monochromatic woman purred, her voice a melodic blend of interest and amusement. Her sharp gaze focused on the Saxe male cradling the newborn serpent. What was his plan? Did he have one? She had always considered the Saxe's as snakes, though... at least Yarrabelle had her affections even so, thus far. "What a discovery. Care to share your little secret?" Her eyes falling to the serpent, so pure.
Absinth's agile form trekked closer, unafraid, a silent predator drawn to the scent of excitement. "I must admit, I'm dying to know - What plans have you for that child. You know, it could be quite useful." Absinth rumbled, her voice falling in rugged tones as she observed the man. She left no room for small talk. No, she didn't care for it. She wanted to sate her small amount of enthusiasm, to see what would become of the cycle of life and death she was witnessing here. But would she become bored?

His gate held no rush to what direction he’d been going. Nature was his home. The elements of life were no discomfort to Cifarelli. So, why hurry to a place that had no permanent meaning? They were only inhabiting the lands for the summer season. No true claim to such serpent filled terrain. If need be he would surely find cover within the various caves that were left empty for others to claim. Until then, the Saxe male continued on his journey. Finding the perfect hiding place for his new discovery the only objective on his mind. Occasionally an ear would flicker in acknowledgement of movement around him. It was only when a scent swept across his senses did he stop to take notice of a rather peculiar woman. Her colorations quite different from what he had already seen. A dark face void of pigment faced him. A set of emerald green eyes like poison flickering b’tween Cifa and the small baby snake. Questions falling freely from black lips with eagerness. The entire ordeal caused him to chuckle. Curiously wondering what plans he had for the creature who’d managed to escape its imprisonment and took refuge around one of the large male’s ears. Peering back at the female with sharp, slitted pools of red. Not as bright as the Saxe himself; however, close enough. "She will be raised as a companion. Her poison used for many things.” It was all he gave to hopefully satisfy her varying needs to know. Something tickled the hairs of his left ear and it took a minute to realize that the serpent was indeed smelling him. Each flick of her tongue made the appendage shift. Just like her new owner, the snake, too, wondered what this new wolf wanted. Her belly scales moving as she slithered from one ear to the next. Leaving her own imprint on this huge beast who’d kidnapped her. "Speaks"

Absinth observed the mysterious Saxe male with a calm demeanor, her eyes reflecting a mix of curiosity and amusement.. The mention of the serpent intrigued her, and she couldn't help but be captivated by the unique sight of a small snake finding refuge around the Saxe male's ear. As the man spoke, revealing his intention to raise the snake as a companion and utilize its poison for various purposes… Absinth's interest deepened. Her emerald green eyes, akin to the poison that danced within the snake, remained fixed on the man. Her lips upturned with a smirk. She listened attentively, absorbing the details of his plans, yet maintaining an air of silence. So, perhaps he was not an idiot like she’d expected?
A subtle smile played on her dark, pigment less face as she considered the complexities of their encounter. Absinth, a creature of the wild herself, found an unspoken connection at this moment. With a nod of acknowledgment, she finally spoke, her voice a soft echo amid the rustling leaves and the distant sounds of the waves. "Has she a name?” Absinth grinned, her eyes trailing his features as she began to circle him and his newfound companion.

Cifarelli had only just gotten his new pet and didn’t take much time to think of a name. Her question caught him short. Leaving the male to ponder such an answer. Playing with a few words and letters. Rearranging them in his mind; whilst, the small serpent finally settled around his right ear. Head resting just short of his eyebrow. It took everything for him to not to crosseyed from her visual in his peripheral. "Merizi." The name alone sounded beautiful to him. And, it surely fit the distinct coloration of the female. Such radiant pigments of reds and hidden blacks. Her patterns screamed danger if one ever had the opportunity to even get close enough to see them. "Do you.. have a name?" Her slender figure circled him. Allowing his eyes to better take in every curve that adorned her body. Such a tease she was. The subtle sway of those hips with every step. It took a minute before he snapped out of his mind to peel back lips. Flashing teeth in her general direction. "Speaks"

Absinth observed him with keen interest as he pondered over what to name his new pet. Her emerald eyes gleamed with curiosity, reflecting the slithering red wyrm as she coiled around his ear. Absinth herself preferred her ravens, and she was already in the process of attaining the trust of a new one… But as he apparently mulled over his options, Absinth couldn't help but feel a tinge of amusement at his struggle. She had always found the naming process fascinating, a glimpse into the intricate thought processes and emotions of others. What would he come up with, this quiet Saxe who was not as brutish as Sephiran?
When he finally settled on "Merizi," Absinth couldn't deny the allure of the name as she repeated it with a purr. It rolled off the tongue with a certain elegance, fitting perfectly with the mesmerizing hues of the serpent's scales. Reds and blacks intertwined in a dance of danger and beauty, a silent warning to any who dared to approach too closely. It was magnificent.
But as the male's attention shifted back to Absinth, she felt a surge of anticipation ripple through her. The way he… studied her, his gaze tracing the curves of her form, ignited that primal instinct within her that beckoned male attention. She circled him, her movements fluid and deliberate, a silent invitation for him to explore every inch of her being visually. Really, she wanted to tease him. It wasn’t exactly her forte to be flirting with men. Women? God yes. But as for men… Haha. She was basically spoken for, as per her own logic. If he bothered to do so… Would Aresenn even get jealous…? Was it worth it to find out?
Absinth met his flashing teeth with a playful glint in her eyes, a silent acknowledgment of the tension between them. She knew he was drawn to her, simple primitive wants and needs and all that. It was easy enough to tell. With a coy smile, Absinth finally responded to his question, her voice a low, husky rumble. "My name? …Perhaps, if you're worthy enough to earn it, I’ll tell you~" She teased, her tail swaying in a hypnotic rhythm behind her. For now, she decided to remain a mystery, a tantalizing enigma wrapped in fur and fang, waiting for Cifarelli to unlock the secrets hidden within her depths. Or at least, give her a reason to give up her name.
Absinth rounded on him, flashing her fangs dangerously as her lips twisted up in a wicked way. Her body adopted a fighting stance, rolling those moderately muscular shoulders as she gestured for him to set his lovely Merizi aside with a pointed glance. “Sorry little love, but I am a glutton for thrill.” She offered to the newborn snake, an apology spoken in spite of whether or not the creature could understand. Absinth’s name was something the male could find out easily if he only asked one of the many band members they traveled with – but wouldn’t it be exciting to have a bit of a brawl for it? Absinth certainly would not let anything about herself go easily. She hoped he would be as inclined toward thrill seeking as she.
