It had been a while since she had visited Avalon. Though after a certain recent meeting, she was eager to invite them to Insomnia's first upcoming festival. Sure, she could've sent Rue with word the next time she swung by for a lesson, but Medusa was rather fond of Corbie after watching her spunk and tenacity when she fought for her title. Also, she was a hunter to be admired! Medusa had learned a thing or two from watching Corbie coordinate a couple of hunts. She didn't quite have a gift for Corbie this time as it was still uh...stewing. Or...fermenting...or something like that back home, but Corbie wouldn't mind if she got it later, right? Approaching the borders, she could hear the sound of livestock and Medusa so badly wanted to hop on over and take a fluffy sheep home with her but she had to remind herself that they were Avalon's sheep, and she wasn't going to snatch any from them without permission. Good thing Corbie wasn't on her bad side, else The Wraith would've just taken it, but alas! Peeking around the border, she called for Corbie's presence! "Speech"

It was likely a good thing for pack relations that Medusa had restrained her urge to snatch a sheep, because it was Corbie who was on livestock guard duty that day, and she'd have been very disappointed in her. She left Tam and Ren both on guard as she trotted over to the border to answer the familiar call. It was always with mixed feelings that she answered Medusa, who had so far proven to be trustworthy and a good hunting partner, but was more than a bit odd and often left Corbie a touch perplexed. Corbie welcomed the other alpha though, with a smile and wag of her tail and no sign of the wry bemusement. "Medusa, hello. What can I do for you?"

She waited patiently for Corbie to arrive, and luckily, Corbie was quick to show! Medusa's attention whipped to the smaller alpha, her infamous grin plastering to her lips as she giggled. "Corbie! Medusa is glad to see you and Medusa has come with fun news!" Her feet tippy tapped the ground as she dropped to a brief crouch, though her attention was drawn once again to the distant sheep and her gaze widened with desire, but no! She had to be good. She didn't want to piss Corbie off, not when she knew Corbie could probably whoop her ass. Maybe. She was a skilled hunter...she probably knew a bunch of tricks that Medusa didn't, after all! And as much as she did want a sheep or two, she'd behave. Maybe take 'em from someone else! Ah yes, she was getting distracted wasn't she? "Medusa has come to invite Corbie and her pack to a festival! Insomnia is planning one! There will be food, hunting, spars, races, things for pups, like stories! And uh, other things!" She hopped back up to her feet. She didn't have all the details laid out yet, but it was gonna be fun anyway! "Medusa"

Medusa was as odd as Corbie remembered, telling her that she had fun news and then immediately getting distracted. Corbie hid a wry grin, until Medusa had pulled her attention back to the conversation to invite them to a festival. "We would be honored to attend your festival," she assured the other alpha. It would be a good opportunity for Avalon to mingle with other packs, both socially and politically, and it would give them a much-needed opportunity to travel that many of them didn't have. Spars, too, would give the pack's guardians an opportunity to test and build their skills against wolves other than each other, which would be important going forward she thought. She didn't want Avalon losing more raids to inexperience. "Is there anything you'd like us to bring?"
