It was high time she did something with the kiddos. Or...whatever they were now. They weren't exactly little kids anymore, but neither were they adults quite yet. They were somewhere in between! Morticia had expressed interest in some things, and Medusa was hell bent on helping them blossom into their best sparkly selves! She bounced along her usual path, heading towards Morticia's usual spots until she found her. Today, a lesson probably. Unless of course they both got distracted enough that she forgot why she was even looking for her, but still! There was fun to be had! And she knew that Morticia liked fun, just like Medusa did! |
As her mate and *ahem* protective detail, Erebos may crash her threads at anytime!
Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:

For once Morticia wasn’t on the trail of some poor, helpless creature she liked the looks of. Instead, she had been hanging out at her favorite spot in the Dancefloor, wiggling and bouncing back and forth as she played with her companion, Skua. The milk snake was finally willing to be more active now that spring had come to Auster, and her tiny tongue looked so cute as it flicked out of her mouth! The yearling grinned, still not quite grown out of her playful demeanor as she pawed the earth in front of her companion. Dagg was… somewhere! Morticia didn’t really know, but she didn’t want to bother him. Not that she needed to. Skua was feeling more lively and slithered before the girl, rearing her head back to avoid the paw “strikes” that yearling did. They were fast but Morticia was also mindful not to put too much power behind them. She didn’t want to accidentally hurt her little friend! But then, as the wind shifted, Morticia would pause, head snapping up with a wide grin as she saw her mother drawing close. Forgetting about her game with Skua she’d rush headlong at Medusa. “Medusssssaaaa!” She was so eager in fact that instead of slowing to hug her mother like a normal kid the rainbow marked yearling lunged for the Wraith in an enthusiastic tackle hug. Well, at least her mom could see that she loved her lots! |

Her daughter's enthusiasm was always welcome! So when Morticia went in for a flying tackle hug, Medusa grinned and let her child have her fun. Her daughter was getting quite big, after all, and soon would likely be bigger than Medusa. Even then though, she'd take all the tackle hugs she could get! Giggle, Medusa hugged Morticia, tail wagging as she offered lick after lick, the laughter music to her ears. "Medusa and Morticia are gonna do fun things! Does Morticia wanna learn how to make a trap to...trap something?" She shot her infamous grin complete with tempting wiggly brows. |

Her mother was always so much fun, never one to discourage her actions, and Morticia hugged the giggling adult with a wide grin. Her own tail moved back and forth, a banner of her delight moving with what felt like an impossible amount of energy. When she would draw back her mother claimed they would do fun things, and Morticia’s eyes lit up. A trap? “Medusa can make sure prey doesn’t get away!?” The concept was fascinating to the yearling. When she hunted she enjoyed the chase, but sometimes it could take too long and sometimes things would even get away from her. That was always disappointing. But if she could make it so the prey couldn’t get away that would make hunting much easier! “Yes yes Medusa! Please teach Morticia how to make prey not able to run away! What is needed? Can bones help? Morticia has lots of different bones Medusa can use!” Would her collection come in handy? |

“Medusa can make sure prey doesn’t get away!?” The Wraith nodded vigorously, and if she had nodded any harder, she was sure her brain would rattle in her skull like a maraca. "Yes, yes!" She was pleased and ecstatic with Morticia's enthusiasm. Her child wanted to learn how to keep prey from escaping once it was caught, something that was right up Medusa's alley! She was excited to teach, though it wasn't something she had really done before, Ghoul had taught her, and she was sure she could finagle some things she had learned from him. "First! Medusa and Morticia decide what to trap, and then, we make the trap! Bones can definitely help! Especially sharp ones! Morticia can pick what to trap!" Once that was decided, then they could decide on the best trap to use. |

The first step was figuring out what to trap. Mortician's nose would scrunch up as she thought. "Deer? Too big? Maybe… Piggie… or…" Morticia's grin widened. "Piggie or Turkey! Morticia likes both." She would motion for Medusa to follow. "Medusa follow Morticia to the bone den! Find lots of bones, maybe sharp ones!" The yearling would take off then, running across the territory whether Medusa was ready or not.
…and Morticia wouldn't slow until she neared the den, humming to herself as she eagerly awaited to show her mother the collection she'd been gathering. Skills, ribs, femurs… it seemed that Morticia had a fondness for the larger bones she could get from prey.

Her tail thumped the ground as she waited for Morticia to decide what she wanted to hunt, and sure enough, her little gremlin came to a decision! "HHmmm...How about...a turkey!? They are not so smart, will be easy for practice!" She nodded again as she decided. They could definitely go for a pig on the next go though! A little piggy feast sounded good! At the instruction to follow little Morticia to her bone den, Medusa, of course, happily obliged! She followed her daughter, matching pace with her as the pair headed to Morticia's stash. Medusa practically skidded to a stop right at the entrance and peeked in, tail wagging a mile a minute as she saw all the big bones Morticia had collected! "Medusa is proud of Morticia for collecting so many! Medusa could cry!" She sniffed and waited for a tear....... But it didn't come. "Or not! Let's get the bones!" Okay so maybe she wasn't much of a crier and she definitely couldn't do it on cue. Oh well! She helped to rummage through them, grabbing a few rib bones here, a couple of smaller bones to rig up, "Mortica grab something to tie things with! Medusa will show Morticia what to do!" Grabbing what she had, she stepped out of the den and whacked a rib bone on the ground until it broke in half before she proceeded to sharpen the ends on a rock. "Morticia will trap a turkey. Turkey is not smart. We make a snare trap. Turkey runs into the loop, and BAM! Foot or neck is caught and broken!" She explained as she finished sharpening the side that she was going to shove into the ground. |

If they were going to go after a turkey like her mother said that was good. Morticia had hunted one once before but now she was going to learn how to hunt it in another way! As her mother examined her bone collection Morticia puffed out her chest proudly. She had worked very hard to gather all the bones and strip them clean. And were it anyone else, the femme would have not volunteered her stash so easily. Morticia really liked her bones. They were fun to sift through and enjoy. She was kind of hoping to create some crazy skeleton out of them one day! A mismatch of different bones. Medusa's praise, and then lack of tear, only caused Morticia to giggle. "Medusa is silly!" And Morticia sounded absolutely delighted with that fact. At her mother's cue to grab the bones she helped lead her to one's of various sizes. Once they had gathered what her mother felt was a good amount her mother asked her to find something to tie them together. Hmm… Morticia ran to some longer stalks of grass. It was tough, and harder to tear… would it work? She bit through several stalks. They were long enough that they could shorten them if needed. Grabbing them in her maw she made her way back to Medusa. Realizing her mother had broken one of the bones caused Morticia's ears to slip back for a moment. Aww no! She hadn't said they needed to break the bones! Instead of allowing herself to dwell on that she set the tough grasses down and watched Medusa sharpening the bone as she spoke. "Will Morticia need to chase turkey toward the trap?" She asked, still a bit confused on how the process worked. |

Morticia's reaction to her breaking the bone hadn't gone unnoticed, but Medusa needed to do it for the greater good! They were going to use it to catch a turkey after all, and as dumb as they were, she didn't want to chance it seeing the bone and getting scared and going the other way. She got to work on sharpening another one while Morticia set down the grass that she had brought. "Yes! Morticia will have to chase them to the trap. Medusa will wait close by just in case turkey escapes. Medusa will show Morticia how to do it so it does not, but sometimes things happen!" She picked up one of the grass stalks and started to carefully wrap a couple of the bone pieces together so that it was in a rough Y shape. The forked piece would be the main component along with the snare itself. "Morticia can tie together another one just like this, we will use two! Two chances to catch turkeys!" She was growing excited at the prospect of the hunt, and even moreso to see how her little gremlin did with making and using traps. Of course, it took Medusa a while to figure it out, and it was only thanks to Ghoul and her own companions that she had gotten to be a pro at it. |

Morticia gave a nod of understanding as her mother explained she would have to chase them toward the trap, and that she would be close by just in case the turkey escaped. Medusa would show her how to try and prevent it, but that didn’t mean the turkey couldn’t find a way to escape anyway. Morticia’s gaze flicked to the grass stalks her mother held as she started to carefully wrap some of the bone pieces together so that they were in a y-shape. Her head tilted to the side curious as she watched, trying to make sense of what her mother was doing. This was supposed to act as the snare? Her gaze flicked to the remaining materials. Surely it wouldn’t be too hard to mimic what her mother had done to make the first? So Morticia settled down with them, her brow furrowing as she tried to tie the grass around the bone. It was trickier than she expected and the colorful gremlin scowled as she had to redo it a few times. Frustrated huffs left her lips, but Morticia didn’t stop, continuing to set it up until at last she made something at least similar to what Medusa had made. It was more shoddily crafted, and the chance of it breaking was definitely up there…. But Morticia had tried, her tail wagging back and forth as she looked up at Medusa with a grin. “This good?” |

She watched her daughter as she finished up work on the snare she was making. Morticia was trying and failing, but eventually got it! She was proud of her daughter for persevering despite having struggled a few times, but once she got it, Medusa grinned. "Yes! Morticia did it!" She quipped happily. Once they were done making the snares, Medusa got up and swiftly jammed the point of hers into the ground and set up a length of twine extended a couple of feet from the bone piece that was stuck into the ground. "Morticia can put hers right over there," She pointed a few feet away, not too far but not too close. That way when they chased the flock and they ran this way, they'd have increased chances of catching a couple of them. Once the traps were set up and Medusa had carefully set the snares, she sat back to give one more look over their handiwork. "Okay, looks good! Let's start hunting!" She motioned for Morticia to follow until they found their target. Medusa watched them for a bit, her companions getting into position to help Morticia should she need it. "Morticia can lead this one. Umbra, Nox, and Seymour will help Morticia if she needs it. Medusa will wait by the traps and scare the turkeys to the traps if she needs to." Naturally, she figured Morticia would be able to do it. She wanted to watch more than participate, to see if her daughter was a natural hunter, or if she'd be suited for something else. Though she had no doubts Morticia could handle it! |
