Calliope

My, was Rhazien far from the sanctuary of the Polar Sound. It wasn’t typical for the brute to stray from his duties as mentor- hell, even in his off time, he was patrolling the borders and adding to the food stock. It left him with little time to himself, and even less time with his sweet, little Medulla. But alas, there was always a task to complete- something, or someone, to do.
He did have a reason for lingering in the southern territories. On a previous expedition, he had caught the scent of a familiar woman- a tigress who used to serve the Saxe empire. If he could quarrel her back in, and put her to use, Sephiran would be pleased. And, her scent was strongest in the southern and eastern territories- so, why was Rhazien here? He was looking for the Sidi controlling tigress... because, he had a plan for her.

No territory line would keep the almost one year old confined. Tiring of the view of endless waves surrounding their home, she traveled to the mainland earlier that morning. Letting the rising sun guide her slightly east, she found herself in chest-deep grass. Flowers nearly tickled her nose as she made a winding path through the plains. Taking in the fragrant scent and warming sun along her back, Calliope didn't mind being alone. Listening to the twitter of birds and skitter of rabbit along the dirt, it was pleasant. Being alone with her thoughts. For now...
As her head turns, pale gaze admiring the scenery, she sees another wolf. Dark of coat, practically the same size as her (she would stand a full 44" at the end of summer), and a gaze of purple, he catches her interest. Tilting her nose up, the gentle breeze carries his scent over. It isn't familiar. He doesn't belong to Heidinn, Avalon, or Ashen, so who?
Without any fear in her step, Calliope approaches. Keeping her head high, ears alert, tail flagged over her back, she lets out a chuffing noise to alert him to her presence. No use surprising him and catching teeth when she didn't want to. Stopping a few feet away, she regards the man with subtle interest. "What're ya doin' in my plains?" She questions, youthful voice a force to be reckoned with.

Having combed through the plains, Rhazien was disappointed. The tigress’ scent vanished suddenly after he’d spent well over an hour tracking it. Tsk. Stopping, and shaking his pelt out of frustration, he considered returning back to his abode- but instead, his attention shifted to something shimmering in the distance. Simply curious, he gravitates towards it- finding a pile of miscellaneous materials, abandoned by its previous owner for unknown reasons. Inspecting it closer, it seemed like someone could make a mask out of it all. A piece of leather, some colorful pebbles, and some twine.
He was still inspecting the materials when another wolf arrived- entering his proximity without hesitation, her colorful frame pulling his gaze towards her. Oh my. A pretty, youthful girl with some spunk- the expression on her face is accusatory, as she asks what he’s doing in her plains. “Oh my, have I trespassed?” He says, lips pulling back into that suave, devilish smirk of his- one that reveals the serrated fangs in his mouth. Sniffing the air, he didn’t identify a pack’s scent on her, which meant she was a loner. But did she truly live here, all alone? “Perhaps you’ll allow me to make you a gift, in exchange for my freedom.” His voice was playful, as he matched her attempt at dominance with casual bantering. Of course, he wasn’t concerned with her appearance, and didn’t consider her a threat- if anything, she was another pretty piece of ass he’d try to flirt with and woo with his charm.

The stranger turns to regard her, Calliope responding with a gentle raise of a brow. His devilish features are nothing to balk at, her expression remaining firm and rather unamused. "Did I stutter?" She retorts back, ears flicking backward a moment before pressing forward again. Was he just playing with her? The way he showed his razor sharp teeth, posturing his own demeanor in a more casual way as if to say he could be a threat if he wanted to be... Hm, that only made it more interesting for the girl. How far could she push his buttons before getting into trouble?
"A gift?" Calliope questions in return. That sort of thing had never been offered to her before. Affection? Flirting? Being suave to get one's way? It simply wasn't her thing and apparently not many other's either. Even so, she's intrigued, unable to help herself from stepping forward. "And what would this gift be?" She questions again, head canting to the side for a moment as her pastel gaze lingers on him and only him. Calliope wasn't stupid enough to let her eyes leave the monster standing before her.
