Date back before the DM

Well the talk with Gil had gone interestingly enough. At least she knew she wasn't going to have to kill Gil too, because that would have been a tough one. Sparrow sipped her drinks and looked around. She should have called for her kids, but didn't really have the nerve to be like, "Sorry I was a shit mother, but I also am going to go and maybe die for someone who is not even related to you." Even as dense as Sparrow was, she knew that wasn't a good story. So she absently meandered around before she set off on her little death mission, debating if there was anything she'd need to leave behind for them just in case.

Calico Jack absolutely loves this dark beach and all the wonderful memories it holds. This is where he cut his teeth as a pirate, found his devil may care attitude, and fell for his first love; the ocean. Yes, he had been born here but this is also where Jack had taken shape, been reared to fight, to take, and enjoy the life he has. Sitting on the dark beach, he watches the ocean’s familiar dance continuously play out in front of him, enjoying the lullaby it has sung to him since he was a pup.

The sound of shifting granules pulls his gaze away from the frothy waves and out over the beach, where he spies the form of his mother, wandering along, seemingly lost in thought. Curious, he lets out a soft ‘woof’, alerting her to his presence and pulling her attention to him. Once she spies him, Calico Jack gently pats the area beside him, silently beckoning her to his side so that they may share some time together.

Sparrow hasn’t been the best mother but she is also not the worst and, even with all her faults, Jack loves her with all his heart. She is the one who taught to be a pirate, after all.

As luck would have it, Jack was on the beach, woofing and beckoning her over. Sparrow listened and meandered over because really she didn't have a reason not to. She couldn't really apologize for something she wasn't entirely sorry for. Her kids turned out okay, and they made good pirates and raiders. It was hard to find guilt in that, like she had any better examples of parenthood. Still, she was proud of the little whelps. Sitting by one of them now, they were full grown. It was hard to believe it had been that long since... everything. Sparrow stared out in silence for a while, not sure how to breach the subject. Maybe she wouldn't. "It's good to be here, huh?" she said dryly.
