"Speech"

Eltrys led the dark and troubled woman expertly through the Wriath's woods. Leading her away from the eerie gloom of the darkened forest toward an altogether different copse of trees.

The oak and maple trees towered over them. The large leaves of the grapevines shielded the temple below, the shadows were cool and crisp and vaguely wet with dew. The lush grass parted around them as he stepped in and out of the sunbeams breaking through the canopy above like holy stained glass windows. Herbs and plants rose around them and the fruit of the grapes above was swollen with the cold wet juice within.

The cathedral was awash with brilliant green and beams of sunlight streamed through the windows above them. The shadows in the corners were gentle and welcoming, nothing hidden here among the scattered pews of rocks and logs.

"Welcome, I've heard its called the Grapevine Cathedral." He speaks, beckoning Hala through one of the streaming beams of light.

As Hala walked in silence, she took the opportunity to reflect on recent events. The fog cleared from around her paws and legs, her tail waving behind her. The sensation of grass beneath her paws was comforting, and she took a deep breath of the fresh air, noticing that the scent was unlike that of Wraiths Woods.

She tilted her head slightly, feeling like things were very different now compared to before. She remembered the male who had left a bitter and unwelcome impression on her. Her mind drifted to the mysterious male she had encountered before Eltrys. She pondered how she could potentially use him, or if she could ever trust Cifa as an ally. It seemed uncertain.

Tall trees loomed overhead, letting sunlight filter through and providing space for the vines to flourish. With her eyes flickering in shades of orange and red, she felt a sense of belonging in this unique place. Although she may not have been welcomed by him or anyone else, she found solace in the surroundings. The cathedral beckoned to her, soothing her troubled mind even further.

As Eltrys spoke, her eyes wandered to the flowers and herbs scattered throughout the healthy patches on the forest floor of Grapevine Cathedrals. The vines climbed up and over the trees, wrapping around limbs and crossing over each other to reach greater heights. The scene perfectly matched the name of the place.

The gentle sunlight filtered through the branches, filling the air with a sweet and welcoming scent. She tiptoed cautiously, mindful of her boundaries. Joining Eltrys, she marveled at the beauty of Grapevine Cathedral. "It's truly amazing to see something so incredible," she remarked, feeling even warmer in the sun's embrace.

"Speech"

Eltrys nodded in agreement, he truly enjoyed the light filtering through the leaves overhead. The summer Auster sun gleamed above and filtered through turning the leaves to now his favorite color. The bright sunlight green beckoned him through the cathedral in a hushed welcome.

"I find it soothing." He mentioned. A smell drifted over his dark nostrils and he slowly lowered his body into the grass, his bright blue eyes scanning the underbrush for the sight of a rabbit. Their speech may have frightened it off already but he was undeterred.

"Hang on, I smell rabbit." He whispered quietly to Hala behind him.

The coal like female with a chocolate undertone watched as the light did filter threw causing the mocha hues to appear out more, she would follow the brute silently, it was soothing and welcoming here. But a part of her didn't want to taint these lands with someone such as herself. Hearing him speak out, she nodded in agreement.

Hala had come to a stop, and lowered her body to the ground below her, soaking in the warm but cool ground the earth offered. Her ears twitch watching his movements. Studying them in a sense. She wasn't one of the best hunters, but could hunt if needed.

Which she was not scared to take down even prey bigger than herself.

The quiet serenity enveloped them. He crouched low tot he ground, his stomach fur grazing the blades of grass as he silently stalked.
Moving forward he kept his eyes peeled for any subtle movement in the grass. He froze as a blade shifted off to his right, but it was just a drop of dew from above. He continued to carefully move forward, inching his way away from Hala, his senses on high alert.

He froze again and this time perked his ears as he locked on to a curious lupine daring to quest out into the cathedral. It's nose twitching constantly. He waited a moment longer until it came closer and closer, then surged forward to rush it down, but it flashed its white tail and bolted forward. Eltrys turned to follow the meal he was planning to share. The rabbit was heading in Hala's direction.

"Speech!"

Eyes carefully watched the male, as he stalked that of a rabbit, sure it wasn't large prey but over all it was something that would hold the hunger off even for a little while. Her mouth had began to water as the sound of the rabbit drawing closer and closer to the large male. Soon giving a quick flash of the white tail, it swished and darted away from Eltrys towards Hala, thankfully the woman was kind of hidden, and hunkered down, ready. Her body completely still. The lupine being on high alert turned to see were the male was. Hala seen her chance and quickly moved to the rabbit. Her paw forward to trip the lupine, ears back as it did a quick zig zag pattern. Startled, not knowing which way to go. The woman reached out as running her teeth missing the tail just inches. Growling as she moved towards the opposite side from where Eltrys would be to chase the varmint in his direction once more.

Hala made a good show of trying to catch the "lapin"(oops, my bad) well. She nearly got it with her teeth but it darted away heading his direction. He was ready for it just in case and descended upon the varmint just before it skittered back into its hole. Its alarmed squeal cut short with a sharp crunch of his thick jaws, ending it quickly.

He placed the meal before Hala, mumbling a soft thanks to the creature for its life source to feed them, and ripped a back leg off for himself.

"You did well! I know it's not much, but the rest is for you." He said, the leg at his feet. "I'll be returning home now. But I hope the world is much kinder to you from here, Hala." He said warmly. He gave her a bow of his head and started back home on his own—rabbit leg in his jaw.
