Killing another bear. Same ol Same ol

The mangroves were close to Valtas territory and so Kotori was sure to roam the area of it closer to Valtas turf to keep an eye out for possible threats.  Today was one of those days his patrolling paid off.  The scent of a bear was fresh.  Kotori followed the scent for several minutes further into the mangrove before he spotted the bear.  It had killed a deer and was apparently ravenous with the speed it was eating.  

Kotori stalked towards it, head low snarling.  The bear stood over its kill and roared a threat in response.  It likely would love to charge Kotori but it hesitated to leave its meal.  Kotori would claim another bear pelt soon and get a free meal with it.

Kotori tried to run in for a bite to the bear’s left side.  The bear turned so it was still face to face, roaring again and swiping out with a paw but it was determined to not leave its meal.  Had it been a while since this bear ate?
