Absinth x Aresenn 


Activity

  • These pups must be active, me and Indie really want them to be developed and have the stats to boot! We ask for a minimum of 8 posts a month, which we will gladly help attain.
  • Because we know real life can get rough, we will have a grace period of 3 OOC months of not meeting the activity requirement before we will reclaim the pup/design if applicable.
  • We also would like for them to have earned 240 stat points total by their first birthdays -- double mastered by their second birthdays.
  • Absinth is going to be a very involved mother, Aresenn will be a present father as well. They will deliver IC consequences to any of their children who are slacking off, as are the rules for Syndicate pups!
  • Once you hit 200 posts, or 2 years of age, the pup is yours. But should you take the character off site you will not be permitted to use the concept of the pup, or lineage anymore. Its personality and design (if purchased or pre-owned) are fair game of course, we just don't want them connected to Absinth or Aresenn anywhere but Ardent.

Alignment 

Absinth is Lawful Evil, Aresenn is Chaotic Neutral. None of their children really have a chance at being good souls. Absinth is vulgar and combative, Aresenn is assertive and impartial.

Relations 

Designs 

  • All designs we provide must stay on ardent, unless purchased from us.
  • You are free to bring your own design of course, or make small edits to the provided designs.
  • Aresenn is all reds, russet, and natural golds. Absinth is black and white, with her dominant trait being her wingy markings on her shoulders.
  • The pups have the potential for Albinism and chimerism.
  • Eye colors can vary, some prominent colors include: Gold, Green, Red, Orange, Amber.

Mutations 

Aresenn and Absinth have no mutations. Their kids can though, by whatever forces allow it.

Sizes 

Absinth is 36”, Aresenn is 41”. Please keep these kids around Medium to XL, dire if you really want.

Psychological Issues

  • Aresenn has violent blackouts/dissociative events that can be triggered via prey-drive.
  • His father, Ignis, is schizophrenic and has DiD and bipolar disorder.
  • Absinth’s father, Setekh, is a literal psychopath with a Schizotypal personality disorder where he hears voices; so there’s that.
  • Absi will notice if her kids are having mental issues, but she’s more likely to try and experiment with the extent and the pros/cons and go from there with raising them.

Plots 

  • These pups will not be scapegoats for any plots, nor fodder/killed off.
  • They must adhere to all Syndicate pack rules.
  • Absinth or Aresenn will crash threads if necessary to ensure the safety of their children, but this would be rare and really only a dire straits kind of deal.
  • These pups will be allowed outside of Syndicate lands early on, with the restriction that they will either mention one of Absinth’s ravens lurking nearby or PP Absinth/Aresenn themselves somewhere in the area.
  • These pups will not be permitted to cause conflict with other packs.
  • These pups will be (if not involved) in close proximity to mature themes and plots, keep this in mind if you believe this will make you uncomfortable. The Syndicate is not PG-13.
  • These pups will be raised alongside Sephiran’s litter, as Absinth is filling the role of ‘mother’ (more like caretaker) of the Saxe brood. They kids can feel however they like about this, Absinth isn’t going to play favorites.
  • All pups will get a raven companion as a gift from Absinth on their first outing! :)

The following ‘plots’ should be expected as per Syndicate rules!

  • Khalif tiered training - From the moment pups are born, they are shaped into bloodthirsty warriors. It is a parent's responsibility to train their pups through tiered predator fights- meaning, they will present a predator for their child to fight, starting small and increasing in size as the child meets their milestones. This is meant to prepare them for their Yearling Right of Passage trial.
  • Any character born to the pack who isn't double mastered by their first birthday is to go on a self-discovery journey as is custom for all Saxe children. And may only return to the pack (if they choose to do so) upon double mastering.
  • Yearling Right of Passage - The trial to determine where the Khalif will fall into the ranks as a yearling. Depending on the season, the trial for yearlings coming to age will change. Common trials may include participating in their first raid, participating in a gladiator-style fight event, successfully claiming their first Sidi, fighting off NPC trespassers, etc.

Names 

  • All pups will have themed names! See here for choices: Artemisia Plant Genus (Please pick a few you like because we’re picky ;) )
  • Any genus can be shortened but the spelling must remain the same! (For example: Ludovic is short for Artemisia ludoviciana; which is silver wormwood, or Absinth is short for Artemisia absinthium; common wormwood.)
  • The pup's last name will be Praetor-Inferos.

Values 

  • Absinth and Aresenn are not wholesome wolves. They have some form of morality, but it’s callous and self-serving most of the time.
  • Absinth is sadistic and has very strong convictions, but while Aresenn may be more neutral; he is no saint either.
  • Their children will be taught harsh realities from a young age, and basically drilled/trained to survive from day one.
  • Affection will be there, but overshadowed by just how emotionally constipated the two heathens are.

Appearance:
A blemish of ink caught in the corners of the eye, gone when you blink. The raven prince, clad in the same obsidian as the raucous harbingers. A hint of charcoal scattered at the edges of his ruff, trailing along the sharp form of his shoulders to meet between his forelimbs. Muzzle, chin, throat all pale as bleached bone, with a rosy pink nose. Warm cream tones paint across his biceps and thighs, spreading inwards and swallowing up his chest and underbelly- lightest in hue over the pointed joints of his elbows and knees. A streak of stark alabaster between his shoulders, trailing downwards along his ribs to form a facsimile of a wing in shades of kohl and ash. The end of Indica's tail is a gradient of onyx to hematite to ivory at its tip, providing a very convenient flag for his volatile emotions.

Indica is slender. Designed to slice through the air with each sweeping stride, his movements airy and elegant. The raven prince is more a dancer than a brawler, with the narrow wrists and sleek musculature of a creature meant to be seen and admired. Which is somewhat counterintuitive to his vested interest of inhabiting the fringes and gray areas of life. As maturity develops him into the willowy slip of a man that he is destined to become, one thing is for certain. Indica is barely more than a blade in the dark, all sleek curves and slicing edges. The highlights of pale hues upon his silhouette no more than the glint of moonlight on a dagger as it rushes to greet your heart. 

Eyes like stars. Set against a dark backdrop, the silver of his gaze is stark and demanding. "Look here. You'll find all that you need, right here." they say. The closer one might dare to step, they'll find a hint of green mixed in to better resemble sagebrush. At the right angle, perhaps even a flicker of gold around his pupils. But that could be a trick of the light, a figment of the imagination. His voice is a deceptively airy creation, each syllable a beckoning croon that draws in his prey. It lacks the bass and power that is typical of his kindred, and so he favours the sultry purr that soothes the soul of any who'd dare to step close. By the time anyone can pluck the threads of carefully interwoven scents apart as they adorn him, they're already too late. The sharp, green scent of sage. A clinging aroma of mint. But underneath it all, the loamy smell of petrichor.

Personality:
Cunning Tactician: first and foremost, Indica is a planner. He lives in a world of variables and possibilities, and so he has to take as many of them into account as possible. In an ideal world, he would know each and every outcome of his movements before he made them, but he'll have to settle for most of them. The raven prince is nothing if not prepared for the worst of anything, at any time. So he plans and he plots and he schemes, and most of all he endeavours to arrange things so that they work out in his favour. Those who find themselves in his good graces should be so lucky, he'll include them in the circle of protection he seeks to form around himself.
Charming Liar: there's a certain kind of silky softness to his movements and his speech that reeks of intellect and self assurance. He wields this debonair lilt to his own advantage, readily shifting himself to fit whatever kind of scenario he might find himself in. Indica does not shy away from deceit, and instead seeks to wrap himself in a cloak of white lies in order to get his way. He's all smiles and fluttering lashes in one moment, and the next he is a weeping waif who's safety depends entirely on whoever he's chosen to become his latest saviour. This kind of chameleon instinct produces a creature who thrives in subterfuge. In the same breath, it also makes him an awful little monster who cares little for who he might throw under the bus to get his way. (What's a bus? That doesn't matter right now.)
Possessive Collector: while not as incessantly driven by primal desires as many of his relatives are, Indica relishes conquest and domination. Thus, he finds himself occupied with a not so insignificant hoarde. Trinkets, mementos, trophies. Whatever strikes a chord while he seeks to memorialize something, he will take. Sometimes it's a bone, lovingly cleaned of flesh to serve as a shining beacon of sentiment- other times it's jewelry, adornment. Pulled from the treasury of the conquered, or torn from their personage as it catches his eye. His little collection is not to be trifled with- regardless of their real-world value, they are precious to him. Indica will not part with what is his, unless it is pried from his paws before rigor can set in. If he chooses to take on a Sidi or two (though he will be painfully picky about this), they are not to be shared. Hardly a gaze can be spared to them without his interpreting this as a direct threat. Perhaps a fatal flaw, but one that is ingrained in his very bones.
Vulgar Hedonist: self-indulgence is arguably his worst trait. Far before his cohorts express interest in debauchery, Indica is there. A bad trip or two pave the way to a creature who can hardly tear himself away from the gruesome sins of this mortal coil. He has a fondness for foul language and exceedingly vulgar descriptiveness, which he is quickly forced to reign in as he grows in order to maintain the type of propriety that is expected in polite society. Which is somewhere he spends more than his fair share of time, in the interest of accumulating alliances, bonds, truces, and so on. However, nothing settles the soul quite like impairing the mind on a Saturday night. Lounging on a soft bed of furs with the stars just a little too bright, and the wind blowing through the trees as inaudible whispers. Once maturity finds him, there's nothing Indica won't try once. And there are many things he will try every other night, if he can get away with it.
Alluring Socialite: the quickest way to get what you want is to have friends in high places, who don't know about your friends in low places. Indica is the one who knows a guy whose cousin can get whatever you need done by the end of the week. A shameless flirt and easygoing socialite, he welcomes any kind of interaction. There's that chameleon instinct again, making itself useful so he can adapt to whatever the situation needs. Sparring partners, hunting parties, crafting groups. He worms his way into all of them. Perhaps it's the ease with which he carries himself, and the calm affect of his voice when he speaks. Indica is never hurting for company, no matter the kind. The raven prince hardly spends time at home, and even less in his own bed. Crashing with someone else is the easiest way to find out what their home looks like, and who their neighbours might be. After all, it's all about keeping an eye out to see whose friends are your enemies, and whose enemies might be your new friends.

Skills: Healing (poison master OR cosmetologist) & Intellect (Professor)
Intended plots: probably be a little bit concerning for his parents, spend a bit too much time learning about death and decay and stuff. Learn how to tame the ravens with his mom. Make a lot of friends, probably get into trouble with the parents for being a ho before he turns two. Ya know, normal kid stuff.

Definitely tiered training, and also very tempted to have him forced out on a little pilgrimage just for the character development? A nice little inferiority complex seems kinda fitting somehow?

Appearance:
Fur: Her coat is swathed in shadows and flickering flames. Charcoal black from her nose tip to her tail tip, broken by shades and tints of red reminiscent of her father's firey coat. Golden highlights tick the tips of her fur over the darker reds and are especially highlighted with her mother's facial marks under each eye and over her brow. Each paw is dipped in off-white and a large white splash spreads over her chest like a shattered heart.

Form: Built like a triathlete, she will be the poster child of endurance as she will become capable of great athletic feats and daring moves. Her mother's genetic influence will help round out her hard edges into a sultry effeminate form while still having the ability to crush watermelons with her thighs and parkour up to the highest branches of a sycamore. 

Gait: A swaggering bounce in her step, always pushing for action into her next move.

Eyes: Her eyes are a molten gold within her dark visage, rimmed with golden fur beneath her eyes as well making it seem as if her irises would pour out of her head like the richest pot of lava.

Voice: Her voice could be mistaken for her mother's, rugged, firm yet feminine, but her volume is typically louder.

Scent: Evergreen, campfire, leather, and dry burnt white sage that she typically uses to calm herself.

Personality:
Hot-headed, Selfish, and Loud.
She will not be told what to do, to the point that if she is commanded she could throw a loud tantrum to abstain from the command. She does not take authority at all well and holds her individualism as the highest paramount to her morals and motive. Her Pathological Demand Avoidance leads to impulsive behavior, mood swings, and volatile reactions which will feed directly into her obsessive need to hunt. Her compliance with orders would be based solely on how well she can understand its point, priority, and efficacy.

As she grows she should be more tempered and conscious of her flash-fire tantrums, internalizing them if she's taught to...

Abrasive, Haughty, and Superior
She is blunt and hates to waste time with flowery words and inane nuances. She is impatient with others and easily frustrated with social cues that make no sense. She says what she means and means what she says. She won't care how it might affect others.

Passionate
She will love to look at the land, always curious about what makes a tree grow a certain way, or the cause of how the land changes one way or another. She will be obsessed with knowing the land to the point she may feel its effervescent heartbeat and breath in the wind.
Scouting ahead will be more than her job and past time it will be her passion, it will seem to be the only time when her mind isn't on fire.

Perceptive
As she can be obsessed with the way the land is formed and maintained she can get obsessed with how others tick. She prefers to work in the big picture narrative and to find all the strings of the web of one's inner core and figure out how to pull them to get what she needs out of someone. Finding out someone's motives and morals can give her a sense of control she desperately craves as the people around her constantly confuse her.

Flash Bang
Moody, with emotions that roller-coaster through the hours, leading to impish impulsiveness with little self-control. A flash-fire temper that is all-consuming, sometimes even pushing her into her father's similar violent back-out events. She is pure emotion incarnate.

okay so both of these characters are, for the most part, the same. Indica is just a little more happy than Dracun and dracun is a lot darker. In case it wasn't obvious, Indie is based on Beelzebub and Dracun is based off of Husk and Valentino and a teensy bit of alastor bc my entire personality is hazbin and helluva, sorry not sorry. also, i only like these names >:



Out-of-Character Name: Skelle
Character's Name: Indica Beelzebub Praetor-Infernos
─ Frequently goes by Indie, Bee, Beez, or Beezie
Gender: Male
Adult Height: 32"
Build: Light
Appearance: At first glance, one would think Indica to be female with his slender body, short stature, and immaculate coat. Primarily a warm golden color, a darker almost russet tone stretches along his spine while black striping akin to a bee or a wasp yet taper to a point down his ribcage and waist. A single band of black wraps around his neck, however multiple bands wrap around his tail and it ends dipped in black as well, imitating a stinger. Toeless black stockings mark each golden limb, however the peek-a-boo toes are white like his underside. The top of the markings are uneven though, and appear to wave in a unnatural way, and a moderately sized black dot rests on each thigh, both inside and out. Thick black eyeliner encompass both raspberry pink eyes, however the corners are stretched into a beyond exaggerated cat-eye and taper to a very fine point just millimeters away from his inky black nose. The outside corners stretch even further, reaching to the tips of his cheek fluff while black ear shells around fluffy white insides reach down to connect and outline his effeminate face.
Mutations: no
Personality: Indie is a playful and cheeky thing right from the start. Sarcastic banter and teasing are his general go-to for any situation, though he's better known for being a bitch. As in a 'you can't sit with us' kind of bitch. He doesn't just believe that he is the shit, he knows that he is the shit and isn't afraid to remind you if you need reminding with brute force that he somehow surprisingly has (think angry pomeranian; small, cute, and feisty but will bite the fuck out of you). He hates getting dirty too, so that really just adds fuel to the fire. Although he was blessed to be free of any obvious mental disorders when he's young, he's quick to discover and abuse drugs and alcohol at the first available chance, certainly opening up a few doors to develop one or some along the way, especially since he loves to party, have a good time, and feel good every chance he gets. He's pretty and he knows it, and he thrives on others attention. He spends hours taking care of his coat and thrives on beauty sleep, defaulting to moody and cranky when he's lacking. He's already easily irritable, so... good luck.

Character's Name: Dracun Valentine Praetor-Infernos (draw-kuhn, idk how the plant is pronounced but regardless he'll want his name pronounced like this lmfao)
Gender: male
Adult Height: 45” (sorry but i have a deluxe character pass and hes too expensive to not use it hfjgsj)
Build: light
Appearance: Dracun looks like he walked straight out of a casino in Hell, like he should be painted on the King of Hearts card in some cryptic deck. While he is most certainly a male, he is not equipped with the bulk and the brawn and instead features a narrow, sculpted face, a voluptuous mane, a slender body, and eerily long legs. The jury is still out on whether he is mostly red or mostly black, however assuming that it is the former, his ears down both sides of his neck to his underside are black as well as his forelimbs and an extended saddle like marking across his back and down to his tail. White tips both of his ears, masks his face in a skull-like marking complete with black pits around each eye, a black 'hollow' section on the bridge of his muzzle, and black strips imitating teeth along his lips. A sizeable chunk of fur that is somewhat heart-shaped if viewed from above right behind his shoulders is white along with rib like markings between the black saddle and underside. Along the backside of each thigh down to wrap around each paw, the tip of his tail, and the toes of his forepaws like toe-less gloves are also white. Red dots settle on the knuckle above the white on his forepaw, a black heart sits nestled on his forehead within the center divet of the skull marking, and red hearts mark the backside of each ear. His eyes, an ominous black, are outlined in a bright red alongside the bottom of the pupil.
Mutations: yes, thicker fur around throat/"mane"
Personality: Dracun comes straight out of the womb as a selfish and greedy child and that doesn't change as he ages and grows. If he wants it, it's his, and he's not above fighting for what he wants. A possessive child grows into a possessive man, easily changing over from material items and ‘he's my friend, not yours’ to forcefully claiming others as his for other more nefarious and vulgar reasons. He will become quite the smooth and sultry whore, fascinated by pleasure and pain responses in not only others, but also himself.

Does Dracun think he's better than you? No he knows it. Confidence seeps out of his pores to the point of cockiness and arrogance being what he's good at, and it shouldn't be surprising that he's got quite the mouth on him that he doesn't know how to hold back. That's okay though, he might not have the brawn to fight back, but he certainly has the bite, both literally and figuratively.

Like his father, he tends to black out at times though fortunately for him, it's only when he's in a rage. He can control it well enough for now, but events may make it harder to control as he ages, especially since Dracun is often annoyed by others insolence behind his unwavering smile.
