Failure of a hunt.

The females mind he had taken over for even a moment in time. Blackfoot did however have a point. They would be wrong to disagree. "You are correct, will give you that beauty." His voice cold, and deeper than Hala's small talk. Stephen wasn't one to really chit chat, but this one this Blackfoot seemed interesting to Stephen and a few others. Others that would at anytime take over Hala Indigos mind.

What happened next was entirely unexpected. One moment they were sitting in silence save for a few short words and the sound of crunching bones. The next moment, something changed in her companion. Their easy companionship was placed on the rocks as the woman seemed to have some sort of transformation come over her. Not physically but emotionally. The woman glared and seemed to silently snarl. This caused Blackfoot to tense and her own face glazed over into a harder expression. Wary. Was this one going to lash out at her now?
But... even with the transformation, the wolf didn't move from her spot. So, Blackfoot didn't move from hers either and simply watched carefully. Bone still in her mouth. When Hala spoke, her voice wasn't the same. To go along with that change, she seemed to be fiercer. Colder. Her voice somehow deeper than before. Blackfoot had no way to categorize it and didn't understand. How could the she-wolf seem completely different now?
"Why are you different? What happened?" She wasn't one to mince words and she wouldn't beat around the bush. She didn't know what happened and intended to get to the bottom of it before she went any further with this. She thought she'd lucked out in her choice of companion but now she wasn't sure... though, time would tell.

"Oh darling," he stated quickly. If words were venom you'd taste it on your tongue with what he was about to say. "we are of one. But we are few." A sly smirk crossing the lips. "Hala has problems, you see." Twisted laughter. "More problems than you and I could count."
Hala shook her skull, trying to get to the front and claim control of herself once again. Her own voice broke forth in a gasp, but it was fluid. "So- sorr- sorry. Hala is sor-sorry" She whined slightly, as if battling with herself and those around her and within her.

Hala stood and put a bit more distance between them, setting Blackfoot's mind a little more at ease though she was still wary. Still watching carefully just in case she needed to fight or flee.
Hala spoke again, she... no, he --she could feel it in the way that the other addressed her-- spoke about the dark wolf having problems. Spoke as if there were multiple entities living within the confines of the woman's mind. Problems indeed. The blue woman huffed air through her nose. Her tattered ear flicked backwards, relaying her inner uncertainty about the whole mess she now found herself in.
And a mess it was. The wolf before her seemed to be struggling, trying to take control once again of her own body. What a personal hell it must be, to have some sort of creatures within you vying for control. She might have scoffed and said she was making it up, if not for the struggle she could see playing out before her. The struggle of her previous companion and this male.
There was only one question that she needed answered though. "Do I need to be concerned about these 'problems'?" Was she going to wake up one day and find her "ally" at her throat because she was someone else? Were they going to be in the middle of hunting or fighting and a violent struggle for control of Hala's body took place where they lost their catch?

Hala's voice was still a little shakey from gaining control back, looking at the bone then to Blackfoot answering the womans question. "No, he just likes to make himself known. Unlike the others. He happened due to something that was done." To be honest the woman had every reason to be concerned or taken back.
It wasn't like every day you stumble across a stranger who dealt with dissociation, if you ever did.
Blackfoot sat and waited, seafoam gaze locked onto the dark woman who was locked in her own internal battle. There was hardly any part of her stirring until that ear twitch and then tail movement. Then, the silence was broken with a sigh which caused Blackfoot's own ears to twitch forward again. Cautious curiosity at who she would be addressing now.
Fortunately, it seemed as if Hala was back at the forefront and Blackfoot was left wondering what it must be like in the other woman's mind. Exhausting was the only thing she could think of. Definitely confusing for the outside observer. What to make of this...
Hala gave more of an explanation, saying that the other was due to something done to her. The stony woman pursed her lips, thinking over this new information with more questions than answers. Was it due to trauma? Someone being more than a bitch to her in the past? She wondered if the other was a flavor of herself, only more fucked up from what had happened to her. She almost felt a certain kinship through shitty pasts. A past she would not question about. It was really not any of her business. She wouldn't pry though she wouldn't stop the other from sharing if she so wanted. All she would ask would be, "Are all of them due to things done?" A pause and then. "How many others?" She found herself... intrigued... so long as the other could be trusted. Well, trusted enough.
She felt it was fair to want to know how many "others" there were in the woman's head. In case they presented themselves.

And then the questions that fell from Blackfoots vocals. Honestly Hala thought about it. Which caused a more gentle look to cross her features, a slow shrug of her shoulders were given. The mute glancing up to the woman. Not speaking just sitting there. Protecting Hala.
A few moments passed as the mute figured Blackfoot meant no harm. Gave Hala space, but also at the same time lurked there if and when Hala would need. Then the gatekeeper found her way forth, shooing the mute away in gentle manners.
"There is four or five of us. There is Hala the host, I'm known as Jazzy. The mute. Stephen who you've meant. And the little lad. And we all serve a purpose for Hala." Offering a smile, which was warm and relaxed, she lowered down as a deep breath was drawn.
She also known that having a identity disorder wasn't much known about it or others didn't believe when someone had a dissociation disorder. "There are things this young lass witnessed and had to do to protect her family. It's not nothing she is proud of, nor are any of us. But had to be done none the less." Jazzy had stated, watching for a reaction.
Knowing that many did not accept that of others with mental illnesses. Only her family understood.
Blackfoot watched the wraith, the other woman was silent, thoughtful. The blue woman was patient, tilting her ears forward with some interest. Appreciating that the other didn't necessarily have to fill the air with needless sound. She could be thoughtful, well, "all of them" could be thoughtful. As it seemed to be. Since the woman was not a singular entity. Or something to that effect... Blackfoot didn't altogether understand it, but so long as it didn't impede survival. She did not care. Clearly the fact that she was still alive was a testament that the separate wolves living within her weren't detrimental.
The woman offered a little more context, patient and gentle. The blue mulled the words over, thinking on them. Processing. She nodded her head, clearly thinking over it all. "We all do what we need. For survival." No judgement there. Whatever it took. She would kill and maim if it meant she had a better chance at living.
The she-wolf gazed down at the bone at her paws. Silence stretched as she finalized what she thought. "Can work together." She finally said, knowing that if anything went awry, she'd just leave. She had no qualms about doing whatever was necessary for her own survival.

"Agreed." And the blue was reminded again why she even offered this idea to Hala. They seemed to work well enough together and thought similarly. A boon in her eyes. She didn't know how long the partnership would last, whether it was indefinite or if they would go their separate ways in the future but there was good potential here.
So, with that, she began to work on the bone again until she cracked it open. After a bit she would settle down and let herself fall into a light doze. Afterwards, they could determine where they would wander next.
