Wriggling in his father's jaws, Corsair dropped the short distance to the ground and took a moment to watch his siblings scatter in all directions. The desire to chase, corner, bark and bite was visceral, but he fought it down. Mother had told them they needed to be on their best behaviour and he didn't want to disappoint his parents by unleashing his heathenistic tendencies in public. Not if he could help it. Glancing over his shoulder at the bonfire, the distant lapping of waves called to him, and he trotted off towards the beach. Maybe he'd be able to spot Sid on the opposite bank in the fading light?

A scowl might have crossed his face if he was like the other kids, instead the stranger's question was met with an intense stare, a stillness overcoming the boy as he weighed her up, tried to unnerve her, in a way that was more natural to him than breathing. Ears turned over at the tips, betraying that he had a bit of dog about him, though you wouldn't be able to tell from his towering height (for one his age). It was the fur that gave him away, the mane and the stare. Oversize paws flexed and relaxed, no sound offered in response. Clenched teeth were offered in what wasn't quite a grin when she asked his name, but he didn't deign an answer. Just that constant, intense stare.

Although he did not speak, Identification had come to sit a few feet away from him, a slow hum leaving her maw as she over looked the ocean, feeling his intense gaze upon her own frame. Fic wouldn't waver or flee. She however found it in a way an adorable innocence although he was guarded, and for good reasons. Neither known who they could trust here at the bonfire except his family and his pack. He was able to trust them for sure. But Fic she only caught glimpses of a few she had come across and meant. A slow sigh left her mouth as stretching her paws in front of her laying her head down, her tail curling against her side. Giving the pup time to speak if he wished.

When his staring failed to unsettle her, those clenched teeth relaxed, a ghost of a grin passing the corners of his lips before it was gone again, a blink and a shake of his fur chasing away the tension from his shoulders and spine. Bringing himself to a seat he tipped his chin back, the tips of his ears flicking up with the movement, almost making him look... a little more wolfish.
He rolled her words over in his head for a minute, letting his gaze drift across the water towards home. "If you're Identification why do you need mine?" He thought he was very clever for a young pup, the thump of his tail betraying the joke even if it didn't show on his face. "I'm Corsair," He offered in place of an apology. "from the Raider's." If the commotion behind them was anything to go by, she'd probably expect trouble, better to give her a heads up before anything got out of hand.
