The ocean calls to him, draws him in. Tide's penchant for wandering, exploring, getting himself out into the world is already too big for his own good. He just wants to see it all, do it all, and be it all-- is that so much to ask for? A bright eyed wanderer, isn't that quaint? At least until he opens his mouth, he can be quaint. We'll go with that. Rocky shoreline incredibly inviting, Tide makes his way to the water's edge. Was that a crab? Moving side to side and clacking its claws, the boy stalks it down the shore. Head held low, gaze intense. Whether he was going to try to catch the little beast or not remained to be seen. |

Sneaking up on the smallest of her siblings seemed easier than it should. She allowed the fur along her spine to rise, shoulders pushing the rolls and crystals on her neck forward as her deer fangs quivered back and forth. Tide was too distracted by a little crab, perched so precariously on the edge of a rock. The angel on her shoulder was absent, all there was, was the little voice in her head telling her to do it. Push him in, what would it hurt? Wordlessly the girl rushed her brother, driving her shoulder into his rump and shoving. A viscous cackle leaving her throat as she made contact.

Tide was off in his own little world, he hadn't heard his sister sneaking up. Caught entirely off guard, he has no time to catch himself. No time to stop himself from crashing into the water, no way to get traction. Like being smacked in the back with a battering ram, Tide goes crashing into the wine dark sea beneath. It's with a yelp, and he begins to struggle against the water near immediately. "What the fuck," the words are garbled as he begins to thrash and flail. Coughing and fighting against the water. Tide can't swim, and he's already fighting to keep his head above water. The ragged coastline was a near immediate drop off, pulling him into the cold water below. All the boy can do is shout and panic, at this point. Coughing and trying to keep his nose in the air, buffeted by the waves. |

He flew so far and Gilda cackled with delight, until her knees gave out and she was clinging to the rock for dear life. She couldn't even muster the breath to call for help. Tears clouded her vision and her breath was coming in small wheezes as her brother flailed about in the frigid water. It never crossed her mind that he might be at risk, might be in danger from creatures from the deep. Her vision darkening around the edges, white flecks dancing. This was the funniest thing she had ever seen. She didn't spot his head going under the water, couldn't hear the crashing of a much larger wolf approaching from the wooded area behind them over her peals of laughter.

The planets somehow aligned when Modesty took a chunk out of Deluge's flank. If she hadn't, the girl wouldn't have been headed to the beach, would have missed the crash of a small body hitting the water and the peals of laughter coming from another one. Ordinarily, Raider's pushing their siblings into the ocean was expected, but the thrashing and the laughter continued... until the thrashing went... quiet.
Breaking from the treeline, Deluge almost missed Gilda's mottled pelt against the rocks. She could see where Tide had gone in and fuck, it was right on the edge of a steep drop off. She didn't think twice before plunging into the frigid water, spotting the kid and dragging him back to shore. Fuck she couldn't even remember this one's name.“Righto Bait boy, yer alright...” she gave him a nudge to encourage him to cough up anything he might have swallowed in the struggle. “Stick with us now ey?”
