Jynn weaved he way through the north, a rabbit hide tied around the top of her head, shielding her large ears from the cold. She'd given up on hide booties for as icy as it was she needed her claws out and exposed for grip. She worked her way between two packs, across the wall and toward the Marble Wash. It was a gorgeous area in the morning light, the sun causing veins within the marble to sparkle and shimmer. It felt like ages since she'd been up north, especially during the winter. Jynn had no desire to live in an environment like this but that didn't mean she couldn't appreciate it. Above her the clouds continued to part, allowing the sun to set not only the wash sparkling but the fallen snow as well.

A scent is what brought him out of the confines of Syndicate lands. The faintness of it lingered on their borders and brought forth the large beast. Nose to the dusty earth of white powder to pursue such an aroma. Unlike the female Vanille who’d been trapped within the confines of his den, this one smelled of another pack. Thus causing him to further hunt down such a sly, yet stupid creature who dared venture so close to home. Cifarelli cares not for anything else. His focus completely on the game itself. Ears pulling forward and before he knew it, he’d grazed the lands of the Wash once more. A low guttural sound leaving his throat at the visual of a weirdly looking canine. What she was? He did not know. And neither did he care. "Speech"

This looked like a good place to start. Jynn gazed down the dried up riverbed, seeing a racetrack in her mind, that bent around the rocky hill before weaving again. She stretched, eager to get in a good and proper run. Despite her hood she caught the sound of approaching footsteps, claws on ice and snow. She looked to see a large, dark-pelted male. He didn't seem overly friendly but she figured she was amiable enough for the both of them. She grinned, dipping her head in greeting. "Morning, you out exploring? I was thinking of getting a good run in today. You fast at all?" It'd be even more fun to race down the wash if she had someone to race against.

Her words were met with a confused expression. A race? His focus shifted to the dried riverbed below. Their positioning one that would cause a bit of damage if one were not careful. However, it did not deter him from accepting her offer. Body stretching to loosen up muscles. He rolled his shoulders with a quick crack of his neck on both sides. "Why not." It wasn’t a question as he came to stand side by side with her. Leaving space between them out of pure respect. If she wishes to race him, then he would indulge. "Speech"

Jynn grinned as the man accepted her offer. Ice broken! Now if she could just win this race, or at least complete it, with out breaking any bones. She stretched her toes, feeling the sensation of her claws against the wintery landscape. "Name's Jynn.," she introduced herself before scooping up a rock with her paw. "We start when it hits the ground, race down the wash and out into where it meets the sea. First one to the beach wins."

With that she tossed the rock into the air, quickly replacing her paw beneath her before rocketing forward as it clacked loudly on the icy marble. Her toes dug into the ice and snow, her right hind leg slipping just for a moment before she quickly pulled it back under her.

"You’re on." Blooded gaze watched as the rock fell to the ground shortly after she tossed it. Her body sailing forward effortlessly. Short of a small mishap. Cifarelli chuckled before following. Large paws slapping against ice and snow. Muscles coiling under the pressure he applied to assert himself. Nearly coming to the back of the females heels. His attention so focused on the race itself, he nearly missed the ridged stone protruding from out. Body shifting to nearly slide along a piece of unseen ice. That left him tumbling over his own paws. It took a while for him to find his footing once more. A growl leaving at the sight of the woman a few meters ahead. Bolting through the cold air, Jynn felt it burn in her chest in the most exhilarating way. There was nothing like the northern chill to bring one's thoughts to the present moment. Her claws grated against the ice and snow as she attempted to maintain her footing. Behind her she heard a thump and risked looking back to see the man had lost his footing and fell. She grinned, a delighted laugh spilling from her maw only to be cut short with a loud- "oof". By looking back at her opponent she had failed to look ahead to a patch of slick, nearly invisible ice which sent her careening into the side of the river bed. Well shit!

Knowing her lead was in jeopardy she scrambled to try and get herself going with the lack of friction. Finally using one of her front paws to try and pull herself along the wash wall to ground with more traction. Once her paws got hold she kicked off again.

Muscles pumped under the amount of pressure he was adding to them. Needing to push past the heaviness of his body to accelerate through the wash itself. Paws repeatedly slapping the dried riverbed, he soon found himself coming close to the heels of Jynn. Her long, toned legs and light build easily maneuvering the undergo of their race track. Playfully, he reached out. Neck stretching its length to let teeth nip at the very tip of her tail. The bushy thing nearly pointing out at him in particular could not be helped. Despite it being a competition, Cifa would never admit that he was indeed having fun. Gliding around the bends of the wash itself as he leapt over what looked like a frozen pile of snow? Jynn focused on the turn ahead, trying to keep all four feet beneath her as she sought to maintain her narrow lead. "Eep!" She squeaked at she felt teeth nip at the tip of her tail. "You'll have to do better than that!" She shouted joyfully. Hoping she hadn't just jinxed herself she lowered her head and pressed on, trying to imagine herself cutting through the air like a falcon even if the actual result was a little less graceful.

She turned sharply around the bend, unwilling to give up too much momentum and so she slammed her shoulder into the side of the wash. Still she kept on, knowing she'd be bruised but shaking it off in the moment for a chance at victory.
