Spider has yet to meet any of the members of the new pack up north, though they’ve caught snatches of scent in the neutral territories between their borders. so they eye this male with interest as they approach, letting their gaze flit from his ears to his his feet and back again. he’s large - intimidating. and he’s also about to serve their purposes rather nicely. “it went this way,” Spider announces, inclining their head in greeting. they’ve been tracking the sheep for most of the morning, catching traces of its presence in the churning of earth and the disturbance of grass. “that’s what you’re looking for, right? big fella, tough horns.” ugh, they don’t think they’ll ever quite be used to the sight - large husks of enamel with wicked points. shudder-inducing. “what say you and i go round it up?” they could discuss division after the fact, provided they’re successful - though Spider isn’t too worried. they cut another glance at their companion, eyeing his large frame. what’s the point of all those muscles if they can’t take down a sheep?

Bleating traveled across the vast space. The sounds cutting through from a distance away. It brought Cifa’s head to incline in the general direction with a single smirk. His body coiled within itself as he went to take a single step. Nearly ignoring the newly wolf who’d approached him. Their face quite odd in comparison to other wolves he’d come across. "You’re very small." To say the comment was rude would have been an understatement. However, were they not? "Come then." Cifa dismissed the notion to continue on with further comments on the new addition. Instead choosing to venture off t’wards the wooly creatures that seemed to be coming to them. "Speech"

the man is curt with them - Spider makes a face at his back - but he’s quick to act, moving to head off the sheep at its scent fills the air. it’s close. Spider stays on the man’s heel as they move over the rocky landscape, narrowed eyes scanning for a hint of woollen pelt - there. it’s chewing grass a few paces away, hooves scraping at the earth and horns lowered to the ground. Spider cuts a glance at their companion, considering. what formation is best? “want me to lead it to you?” they offer, voice a whisper. “i can scare it your way.” he better not make another crack about their size; they can be plenty scary when they want to be.

"Do so." Cifarelli fell into position. His body lowering to balance most of his weight onto his toes. Leaving no room for any sound to be made from hunter paws. Breath swept up a bit wintery dust as he exhaled. He needed to hide. Completely be out of sight to ambush the oncoming horned sheep. It would be his only advantage in this situation or else he'd end up with some sort of injury. Looking to the four-eyed beast, Cifa gave a nod of approval. Silently waiting for the moment he launch onto the oncoming feast. The sensation of it all pumped through him. Tightening his muscles in wait. Their preparation to coil in a spring at the ready. He thought back to all his various and past hunts. How quickly they ended. Others dragging out even longer than some. He knew with the help with the dark wolf, they wouldn't have any issues. Such an extra small wolf and him being large and hefty. What could ever go wrong? "Speech"

Spider inclines their head up the male and stalks forward, aware of the man shifting into position beyond their eyeline. they’ve used this technique a few times, now, let the familiarity guide their steps: a sudden approach, teeth bared and a snarl ripping from their throat as they rush the creature, snapping at those hoofed limbs, dodging its swinging mantle. predictably, the sheep screams and bolts in the opposite direction, unknowingly making a direct beeline into the man’s waiting arms. Spider brings up the rear to guard against any sudden directional changes, waiting with a breathless grin for their companion to land the killing blow.

From where he hid, the Saxe male could not see what was going on. All he heard was the snapping of jaws and the sound of frantic hooves. His body shuffled from paw to paw as he awaited their prey to near his location. Anticipation clashing against the need to spring. The four-eyed, extremely small wolf proved to be a decent hunting partner. Because the next thing he knew, his body launched with a gapping mouth wide. Their bodies tumbled as one across the tundra. Snow and other various debris now flying in the air. The world now whirling with each roll. He did not once let go, however. For the moment they stilled, he was biting down into the sheep's throat. Pressing deeper into the jugular and immediately cutting off all contacts of life. His head shaking to rip the muscle apart. No longer did the dall sheep show signs of life in its eyes. The pupil become a pure white covering over once dark black and golden eyes. He soon let go, then. Panting heavily from the entire ordeal having taken place. Another successful hunt.
