He'd pretty specifically been instructed to stay within the Grove and the Plains... was that going to stop him? Absolutely not. Davey waits until his parents' backs are turned to slip off, pretending that he's going around the fire to find Wake. Before he joins up with his older brother, Davey quickly slips away. Suckers, that's what they get for not keeping a closer eye on him. Not when there's so many cool places to explore. It's the Castle that draws him in, standing imposing against the evening sky.

Really, the boy has never seen anything like it. Built of stone and standing stately, he just has to get a better look. Moving among the shadows, slipping closer. He's not the best sneak (not yet), and probably too interested in the architecture to do much real rogue'ing. Fascinated by the stone structure, and creeping ever closer to it, Davey has to see more. The ivy that grew up the sides, curling around the arched windows... it's just cool, okay? It's really fucking cool.

Korona had been lounging in the grass, eyes half-closed, enjoying the warm rays of the setting sun of Auster when she caught sight of Davey slipping away. A mischievous glint sparkled in her eyes as she watched him weave through the shadows, clearly up to no good. “Oi, Davey!” She called out, her voice low and teasing as she caught up to him, her paws silent on the soft earth. ”Sneaking off, are we?” No way was she going to get them caught. Especially when she wanted to get up to no good herself.

She matched his pace, her curiosity piqued by the direction he was heading. When she saw the Castle looming in the distance, her excitement mirrored his. “You're headed for the Castle, aren't ya?” Korona nudged his shoulder with her nose, her grin wide and infectious as she breathed the words close to the shell of his ear.

THE KRAKEN

Davey isn't surprised when it's Korona who slips off after him. If there's trouble at hand, then they're two likely suspects. The boy casts a grin over his shoulder, a light roll of his eyes. "Duh, come on." He grinned, tossing his head as they slink closer to the castle. If they looked like they belonged here, then no one would be able to say anything... or something. Listen, it's not on him to know how the world works.

"We're exploring." It's a declaration-- if one of them got caught, they'd both be getting caught. Pacing closer through the lush grasses, enjoying the summery weather that settled over this place. "Look at the way the plants grow up the building... we should try that with the trees." Davey tipped his nose toward the stone walls, moving through the gardens. Taking everything in, carefully exploring the grounds. Unruly as he is, he's studying the land. It's too tidy, but it's pretty.

Korona stifled a laugh, her eyes gleaming with the same mischief mirrored in her brother. “Hell yeah!” She whispered back, the excitement evident in her tone. She matched his stride, her gaze flickering to the castle walls and the lush greenery that was wayyyyy to green. Did they water it all themselves?

”If they didn’t want us to explore they woulda kept us tied up!”She mused, nodding thoughtfully. ”It's like this whole place is alive or somethin’.” Her voice softened as they moved through the gardens, her paws barely making a sound on the well-kept paths.

“Too pretty. Not enough mud. Betcha they got a lotta princesses. Like you!” She remarked with a playful smirk, glancing at Davey, her grin only widening.
