Felicita would wander throughout the snow coated plain that was now her home, weaving in and out of the pine trees that dotted the land. The cold breeze felt good on her healing neck wounds, though it did nothing to soothe her persistent headache. The throbbing in her skull rarely abated, this headache coming on the morning after she had been brought to Glaciem. She suspected a concussion, but did not want to bother the healers any more than she already had with tending to the lacerations and puncture wounds to her neck. Felicita knew that healing was their job, and most healers and medics embraced their callings with passion, but Felicita was not the type of wolf to bother others with her own unimportant whims.

The woman came upon another stand of pine trees, their fragrance filling Felicita's moist black nose. The scent was so overpowering that it blocked out the majority of other smells in the area, making Felicita feel as if she was alone on this vast plain. Perfect.. Felicita thought to herself. She did not run into very many other wolves in Glaciem, but she avoided it at all costs. The young woman was normally a very friendly wolf, but something about those Glaciem wolves chilled her to the bone. They were imposing, full of themselves, and above all, proud. Felicita did not mix well with those kinds of wolves, but she wanted to try. She wanted to try and make a home here.

Felicita came to a stop underneath one of the pine trees, the ground below her fairly free of snow. The woman flopped onto her stomach, curling her front paws under her chest to keep them warm. Unbidden, thoughts of Dexter filled her mind. Where was he? Was he searching for her, perhaps? Did he care at all? Felicita lowered her snout to where he ankles protruded from underneath her chest and buried her nose in the space between both ankles. She didn't want to think about Dexter, didn't want to think about how he had left her to be kidnapped and brought to Glaciem. Didn't want to think about how he most likely didn't give a damn about her.

She knew wolves based a pack from these lands, but her ability to care was limited to the point of nonexistence. The trees called to her, so she was obliged to answer their call by climbing every. single. one. So far she had gotten to about the third when a wretched lupine appeared. A delusion, a daydream, began filling her mind with it's wondrous fantasies.

It settled beneath the tree, completely unaware of the presence of a monster. Muzzle was buried between it's paws, effectively blocking any chance of the beast's scent reaching it's little black nose. With a ripping snarl, she dropped from the trees and molested the canine with her fangs and claws, tearing apart every inch of her until she was unrecognizable. A twisted cackle erupted from her bloodied maw as she pissed on the carcass, adding insult to injury.

Too bad, that one seemed like it would be lot's of fun to enact. Somehow the tawny beast felt that the pack that made this place their home would not take kindly to one of their own being torn apart. And despite her uncanny ability to escape from essentially anything, the monster knew an angry pack should not be challenged. So instead she watched from her perch directly above the canid, and waited to see what would happen. Nothing. Nothing at all happened for the longest time save for the creature breathing. How pathetic, all this free time spent doing what appeared to be sulking. Silently moving lower, she lowered a massive paw down to the lupine's level, keeping her claws sheathed, and attempted to shove the little creature over with a deft flick of her wrist. Her front half was heavily muscled, so knocking over the tiny beast would be no problem whatsoever. Retreating to the highest possible branch quickly but silently, pale golden optics glimmered with mirth as she watched for a reaction from the canine. A twisted grin split her lips, baring massive ivory fangs as she watched, full of dark joy.

IF WE ARE ALONE,
ARE WE TOGETHER IN THAT?

Felicita was enjoying her peace and solitude, her mind slowly releasing all of the negative thoughts that clouded her head, breathing deeply and evenly. The young woman was starting to feel a chill coming on, the heat produced by her body being released into the air. She was grateful for the thick underpelt that held a modicum of warmth in her limbs. Moist onyx nose tucked between her paws, ears pinned to her head, eyes closed, Felicita had virtually cut herself out of the world; without senses, she was unaware of pretty much anything happening around her.

Suddenly, a blow from sources unknown whacked Felicita in the ribs, knocking her breath from her lungs and throwing her onto her side. The woman laid there, gasping for air for a moment. When she had recovered her ability to breathe, Felicita leaped to her paws and glanced around wildly, searching for her assailant. The wind swept over the snow-coated plain, whipping the crystals into miniature flurries all around. Other than that.. nothing. There was nobody in sight, not even in a wolf's keen eyesight.

"Hello?!" Felicita cried, not really expecting an answer. Her heart beat a rapid staccato rhythm, adrenaline spiking through her veins. "Who's there?!"

A dark chuckle left the monster's lips as she watched the lupine panic, crying out in fear of what could have knocked her flat so easily. The answer was, the tawny monster who still sat above her. "Now now puppy, don't piss all over the place in fear." The terror of the trees crooned, her voice dripping with malicious sarcasm. Quickly, nimbly, the feline stepped down to a low branch where the tiny canine could see her beautiful form crouching amongst the limbs. Thickly corded muscles rippled, displaying her power as she balanced upon the forking branches like they were the terra below. "I'm right here, mutt." She growled, rolling her pale golden optics at the pathetic display before her. It was things like this that illustrated why cats were superior.
