Andromeda strode proudly along, pale blue eyes watching as, one after another, defenders appear to challenge the Armada wolves. Soon, an older man, cloaked in earthen-hues charges onto the battlefield and toward her so the young woman stops and sets her defenses. Realizing he intends to slam into her, the woman lowers her head and tucks her chin, jutting her thorn-wrapped Kudu horns forward so that his chest would met those first.

Contact is made, bodies colliding with the familiar ‘thud’ of flesh and bone that sends excitement zipping along Andy’s nerves as he lifts his front legs and she lowers her head further, avoiding the strike to her jaw but earning several deep scratches to her forelegs. A growl ripples from her lips at the pain and Andy shifts, attempting to leverage her horned underneath one of the man’s armpits in the hopes of throwing him off balance. Paws shift to adjust for his extra weight as she goes.

they both slammed into one another- the momentum of it causing the helmet to bruise his head as they made abrupt contact. a loud knock heard as they confronted one another. the clash caused a painful buzzing, causing casimir to react slower as he gathered himself for a moment. but the pain of a bite lands near his right shoulder, surprising him as it wielded a snarl rom his lips. he growls as he turns his own head down and inward in attempt to meet the other in an awkward angle, teeth bared in attempt to bite onto their nape that was exposed.

He overtook his opponent! It was a near thing as Oleander leaped away from his dominated foe for another. He saw his aunt Andromeda fall to an elder! This one would have some awesome experience to teach! What could he teach the youngster full of fearless drive? He probably would be advising Oleander to pace himself in the face of raids. But Ollie had already seen the face of death himself and laughed and preserved. Let's see if he could inspire this elder with the same defiance against the reaper!

Ollie's white raven, Eterna, circled above and danced in the air, attempting to distract the experienced elders' own raven. Ollie lunged forward to rake his abrasive claws over the shoulder of his new opponent, and bear skull met polar bear skull as Ollie opened his maw to grasp their throat!

Friendly raid or not, this didn't seem like it'd be a fair fight. Not that Levi was particularly torn up about that fact, he didn't particularly care who he fought in the end as long as he got to do something. His brother was hard at work and intent on expanding the Armada, so Levi played along and did his part, the supplies they'd get from this were likely all that was needed to get the job done. He moved slowly, skirting around the edges as he watched the few fights take place, so far at least not many wolves of Avalon had arrived at the scene. Since it was a friendly affair there was no fire under their arses to get a move on.


"Speech"

As soon as he sprung forward, he felt a surge of adrenaline that he hadn't experienced in quite some time. He wouldn't think about how sore he'd feel afterwards, only that his limbs suddenly felt less stiff, his body moving more easily overall. He'd enjoy it while he could, putting the energy it gave him into the fight and not thinking about much else. Making a good impression for his children was important enough to encourage his participation. Just feeling a little more alive was a nice bonus, too. Though he wasn't quite quick enough to manage to grab hold of her head-on, his teeth managed to make contact with her shoulder. Her armor surely helped keep the worst of it away, but still he tried to bare down through the leather and try to hold where he could, even if only very briefly. He hadn't anticipated her companion's involvement either, but he managed to distract Corvus enough for Wynter to shift her position before he could really react. Still he tried to twist his body around to face her, though not before her jaws clasped down on his left elbow. The pain wasn't great but was still present, no doubt feeling a bit more severe than a similar attack may have felt in the past due to his age. He wouldn't let that take him out of the fight so easily though, and he aimed to lunge slightly to the side and into her, hoping he could swing his own head to the side and aim for one of her forelimbs. The maneuver was clumsy as he tried to twist around into it, and he wasn't entirely sure it would even succeed at all, but he had to try. Her jaws clamped down on his elbow and she felt a little thrill of victory. The fight wasn't over, but given that this was her first real test of battle any little success felt like a victory. However, she distracted herself with her own sense of accomplishment and that allowed her opponent to twist around and grab her own foreleg in return, locking them in an awkward battle of wills. Her ears flicked and she winced a bit at the feeling of his teeth on her leg, but it certainly wasn't unbearable... it mostly just put her at a loss of what to do next. She could let go and try for something else, but who was to say that he wouldn't take advantage and try to knock her down when she did? With a stubborn pout she pressed a little harder into his elbow to try and get him to let go instead. She wasn't going to give up that easy!

Éldi swiftly claimed victory, pleased that he could still do so in his old age. It was good to know that despite his aging body his experience would occasionally make up for it. A pale raven flew toward Glámr. Galinn call out alerting him to the charge of his next opponent. Éldi left his ravens to deal with the yearlings companions as he readied himself against the spry youth.

The boy charged head on and Éldi stood his ground. However, as the youth neared the elder moved into action. As the boy lashed his claws out toward Éldi's shoulder, the older warrior ducked his head down and to his left to try and catch the boy's wrist before it could do damage. He aimed for a stern and solid bite. In doing so he ducked his head down and away from the other's jaws thus moving his throat out of the way. However, he did not make it out unscathed for as he moved the boys lower fangs struck his right cheek leaving moderate lacerations.

He was running late with Finan. The pair had been clear across a couple of territories when they got word of Armada raiding Avalon, and he couldn't say he was very happy about it. Friendly or not, Avalon was significantly smaller and weaker than the Armada...it was an unfair fight all around, and he was sure the Armada wolves knew that. They came at them for an easy win, he was sure, and despite his old age, he would still fight fiercely to protect his home even though he wasn't as spry and quick as he used to be. They would arrive barely in the nick of time, however, ears falling back as he caught the sound of Balian's thundering hooves bringing up the rear. He didn't yet see Corbie, and he briefly wondered if she would be making it or if she was tied up with other things. Regardless, he'd fight to the best of his ability. Upon arriving, he went for the closest opponent, a small, toothy, fire striped male. He knew this was a friendly affair, but he still couldn't help but feel some type of way about it. If Corbie wasn't yet here yet then he supposed it wasn't all that big of a deal, so he forced himself to think of it that way. He sought to collide with Levi's left shoulder straight on, jaws snapping for the smaller males scruff. If he was lucky, maybe he'd send the guy rolling into the dirt. He followed behind his uncle, making sure he'd make it fine without incident. Though his uncle was old, he made it clear he didn't need any help. Whatever his uncle was doing to keep himself moving in his old age was working, even if he wasn't as quick as he used to be. Still, Finan worried about him regardless. How would he fare against the raiding wolves? It was just a fight like any other, no? So maybe his uncle would be just fine... His lips pressed into a thin line of worry as he followed his uncle to the commotion and found a number of Armada wolves severely outnumbering Avalon. He bit back a sigh, knowing this was a terribly unbalanced raid, but there wasn't anything he could do except for try to beat one or two of them. Most of those on Avalon's side were already falling away from their opponents, so Finan took a chance and went for one that had just beaten his packmate. He ran full force toward the white male, aiming to come in at the male's left hip with the full force of his chest, right foreleg shooting out in an effort to hook around an ankle in a bid to further compromise his targets balance. His bird had given him word, but like the other two, he had not been very close by when the Armada wolves came to Avalon. He raced there, hooves thundering across the ground as he ran. He made it just in time to fall in behind his two packmates. He wasn't sure who to go after, so he just jumped right in and toward a girl with strange markings that made her look like she had a second set of eyes? He snorted, hooves stomping as he charged at her, lashing out with crystalline hooves in a bid to drive her back and force her to retreat.

Avalon was outnumbered, but he'd do his best to fight for the pack that he called home no matter the odds.

Levi turned, his attacker came barrelling towards him, clearly intent on using the size disparity to his advantage. It was a natural course of action, Levi didn't think he could recall a single instance in which anyone had let it slide. But it was barely even an advantage from his perspective, just a perceived one that he was quick to correct more often times than not.

Managing to avoid the worst of the collision with a side step, he felt teeth grab onto the scruff of his neck and his spines sprung up to their full sharpness. Jabbing and poking, a snarl passing his lips. Instead of trying to slip free, he simply doubled down and rammed back into his attacker, fully intending to push his spines in as deep as they could go. If an eye was poked then...that wasn't Levi's problem.

She'd made the deal with Basilisk, told her pack to expect it, but as time ticked on she'd begun to have concerns about the potential timing. They couldn't have been more specific on when to do the raid, when they agreed, because that wouldn't have been a good test of anyone's skills, but lambing season was in full swing and there'd been no raid, and she was worried that the stress of an attack would be dangerous for the heavily pregnant ewes and the younger lambs. So when the call came, Corbie made the choice to hold back and allow her betas to take the lead while she worked with the herd, carefully moving them away from the conflict to where the would not be stressed by it, and soothing them with feed and soft words until they were happily quiet once again. Only then did she and her companions spin and race for the raid to lend their strength to that of her warriors. In the event Armada won, she was certain Basilisk wouldn't want to take home stressed out sheep that would potentially die on the journey either, so it was in both their packs' interests to take the time to care for the flock first.

Slowing to a stop at the outskirts of the fight, she swept her eyes over the battles, worried gaze seeking out each of her wolves.

Spider whirls at the sound of approaching steps, eyes widening as they take in the sight before them. a horse is charging towards them, brandishing his hooves in an attempt to drive them back. using their small size, Spider dances from foot to foot, dodging as best they can without ceding too much ground. their eyes lock on his smooth tan flank, and they frown as they consider their options. gritting their teeth, they charge forward and attempt to duck beneath their opponent’s strikes, aiming a blow at his flank. pain shoots through their shoulder as they move, however; he’s managed to clip them with those sharp crystalline hooves.

a successor, he would be met with yet another opponent swooping in quickly. casimir managed to brace himself, after noticing the large wolf a tad bit too late. rocking into his body, casimir snarled, meeting the ground in a sudden thunderous fall. his body landed hard, creating many contusions to his already weary shoulder & rib area. he choked back a yelp, giving way to a painful whine as he gathered himself quickly. he managed to dodge finan's attempt to nip his hind limb by moving quickly to the side, away from the brute in order to create space between them. in a quick second, he lunged forward, aiming to meet the other in a dangerous embrace, teeth bared & arms moving forward.

Whatever he was expecting, it certainly wasn't a mouthful of spines. His opponent surprised him with that one. As his teeth closed around his opponents scruff, he felt the unmistakable prick of spines jabbing his mouth and muzzle. Snarling and yelping in surprise and pain, Cloud released his grip and turned his head away as Levi sought to push further into him. He aimed to put a couple of steps of distance between them as he readjusted himself, head shaking from the sensation. He'd definitely have to get looked at after, and his mouth would surely be sore from that, but nothing he couldn't handle for the time being.

Growling, he set his sights in trying to subdue his opponent. Though it seemed no matter which way he looked at it, the Armada wolf had quite the artillery on him. Not only was his scruff protected with spines, but he noticed something odd with the tail and he wasn't too keen to get very close to that, either. Lunging for the center of Levi's body, teeth sought to grab over the middle of his back on either side of his spine, chest seeking to shove into his ribs, and a foreleg reaching to come over Levi's back in the same bid to topple him or compromise his balance.

His opponent is surprised to see him, it seemed. And with the flailing of his hooves toward them, it seems they are weighing their options. He's used to fighting wolves, though not many wolves are used to fighting a horse. The Armadan manages to dive beneath him as they dive for their target and Balian felt his hoof connect somewhere upon them, but it wasn't enough to deter them. The moment he felt the sharp touch of teeth on his flank, he utters a sort of war cry, loud and jarring as he surges forward, all four crystalline hooves pounding and stomping the ground in his wake. If his opponent opted to keep their grip, they'd surely get wounded by his hardened hind feet, if not tumble to the ground and still potentially get pummeled. He kicked and bucked, aiming to dislodge them and force them out from beneath him lest they'd rather get trampled.
