(getting this officially rolled as a trespass attempt!)

It was just past midnight, the moon bright overhead - if not for the heavy cloud cover that seemed to drift past periodically. The night was just dark enough to provide good cover for her task at hand, and she was intensely focused as she neared Sunset Falls. They knew little about this pack, and Kaija knew even less, but she was ready to see what she could uncover.

Though Kaija wasn't exactly the stealthiest of wolves, she thought she could at least be a little inconspicuous. All in the name of the greater good, right? Something like that. Mostly she just wanted a little excitement - the few raids she'd participated in since joining the raiders had been such a thrill that she wanted more. Something even more adrenaline-inducing.

And what was more thrilling than trespassing?

Nose low to the ground, she tasted the scents that lingered here as she moved across the border. This pack was clearly decently sized, judging by the scents that she could pick up all around. Slowly she made her way toward the falls, careful to keep low to the ground and hidden amongst the shadows that the moon's light cast down on the ground below.

Did the outside think that it was going to be that easy? A fair number of Kleins were considered damn near nocturnal, so Scylla had no issue being awake when most of the world was asleep. Sometimes she lay in her den, listening to the deafening silence. Other times she went out on her own and began an early patrol. That was the situation this night.

Sensitive nares picked up the scent of a foreign wolf and this scent was a little too close to her borders for comfort. Since she was already treading on the border as she ran her patrol, it was easy to see that Obscura had its first interloper. With a small hmph of amusement, Scylla altered her course, following the trail of the sneaky sneak.

The scent of the outsider was thick, the perfume mingled with that of other wolves. A pack wolf, perhaps? Interesting. Scylla needed answers and what better way to attain the desired information than to put the intruder in thrall?

As the grey woman came into view, Scylla noted their difference in size. It meant nothing to her. She had battled larger wolves and even had one within her tender care that put the size of the intruder to shame. So, without hesitation, the slate and cream fae rushed up behind the larger wolf, jaws opened wide with the intent to clamp down on one heel and hopefully twist it out from beneath her. As she did so, Scylla's little bush dog came barreling out of the underbrush, leaping through the air and aiming to slam into the grey fae, thus further affecting her footing.

It wasn't surprised that her arrival didn't go unnoticed, though it was admittedly disappointing. It wasn't like she had the build of a spy, not by any means; she usually made it a point to go everywhere as loudly and flamboyantly as possible, so trying to do the opposite of that was quite a challenge.

At first she thought maybe she was being paranoid - thought maybe the rustling not far off was some small prey animal, or even the wind itself whisking by the falls - but she was sorely mistaken.

She didn't react to the attack until it was practically too late. A sudden movement behind her and Kaija tried to spin around, though found her ankle was clasped firmly in the jaws of a.. child? No, the wolf was small, but clearly adult and didn't even seem that much younger than her. "Get- off me," she growled, aiming to kick her leg back and into Scylla's mouth further. Though she stumbled initially, she tried hard to maintain her balance. "Runt," she hissed.

Part of her knew that there was a high likelihood she was completely fucked, but Kaija was a fighter. She wouldn't lay down and take it no matter how dire the situation might be. The adrenaline she felt was filling her with a white-hot rage, which allowed her to see through the pain - even as Scylla's companion collided with her, making her stumble to the side. Trying to reel around, she aimed to twist her spine around and did something idiotic, aiming to let go of her other leg, the one Scylla didn't have, hoping to kick her square in the face. She was well aware she'd hit the ground soon after and lose her balance entirely, but she hoped it was worth it.

The grey woman fought, kicking her foot back, but Scylla had wiggly fingers. She wrapped those dexterous digits around the larger fae's ankle, nimble toetips working to hook through the sensitive hollow of the enemies Achilles tendon. The bigger wolf stumbled, thanks to the headbutt of the bush dog and, in a last ditch attempt at shaking her off, a foot came flying towards her head. Jerking to the side, Scylla took the brunt of the kick to her shoulder, claws scraping down her side. The annoying burn of scratch marks flared up soon after. Ugh... annoying.

Maintaining her hold on the outsiders heel, Scylla thrashed her head back and forth, seeking to do enough damage to take away use of the leg, but not cause lifelong injury. Runt... she remembered the woman saying. Well... this run was kicking your ass, lady. With the larger wolf on the ground thanks to her own kick, the Obscuran Sovereign planted her paws and pulled backwards, attempting to jerk that leg out towards her in a further effort of keeping the other woman down.

The other woman's dexterous paws helped her keep a grip on that back leg, making it all but impossible for Kaija to break free. Though still she tried to flail around, not completely oblivious to the damage that could be done to her limb but wanting free bad enough to try anyway.

Kaija's attack seemed to land, her free leg kicking Scylla hard in the shoulder, though along with it went her balance. She went down immediately, her midsection hitting the ground hard. She felt herself being pulled backwards and she fought against it as best as she could, her free leg trying to take hold on the ground again and drag herself away from her opponent - or at the very least, keep herself from being pulled any further.

Though the tusked woman fought, in the end Scylla was the victor. One hard jerk to the woman's leg brought her crashing down and, a moment later, there was a viper around her neck, choking her until she blacked out and her body went limp. Once the snake was back around Scylla's neck, she howled for Nero. He could make himself useful with all of those big, rolling muscles of his.

When the glacial brute arrived, Scylla motioned to the unconscious wolf laying beside her. Another testament to her strength and resolve, should he ever doubt it. "Let's throw our guest into the pit, shall we? After she wakes up from her nap, we'll question her to see what in the hell she was thinking." A soft huff of amusement left the slate fae's nares. "You'd think all of the monsters scattered around the border would keep anyone out, but..." One nimble paw gestured to the wolf before them.

Nero was still taking each day with rest and ease until his injuries had completely healed. Doctor’s orders, though he was loathe to call Scylla a doctor of any kind. A mad doctor, maybe... His injuries were healing quickly, a testament to the strength of his primitive genetics, and though the wound on his neck would leave a nice scar, he would otherwise recover fully in due time. It was dark when the call for him went out from Obscura's little dictator, rousing him from sleep with an annoyed grumble. What the unholy hell could Scylla possibly want from him at this ungodly hour? Still grumbling and growling to himself, Nero rose and trudged his way outside into the temperate spring evening to find the Sovereign.

When he found his master, he was more than a little surprised at the scene he discovered. Scylla was sat beside the still form of a massive wolf he didn't recognize. Her scent was different too; from another pack, perhaps? Was she dead? No, her chest was still rising. Unconscious then. Nero quirked a curious brow to Scylla who gave him no answers, just instructions. Nero asked no questions, simply grabbed the bitch's limp body by the scruff and hefted her up over his back like a fresh kill. She was a stocky thing, but he'd carried heavier. "Your monsters aren't scary," Nero retorted to Scylla's passive remark about their borders. In truth, Nero didn't find her taxidermy abominations intimidating—just bizarre. If anything, they provoked curiosity instead of fear.

Nero headed for what Scylla had affectionately dubbed "The Pit". It was scarcely more than a lightly padded hole dug deep in the earth, hidden inside a den where none could find it and no screams or shouts could escape it. With little care or regard for Kaija's wellbeing, Nero dumped the incapacitated wolf's body down the pit, listening to it impact the furs at the bottom. Hopefully she didn't break anything on the way down. If she did... oh well. Unamused gold eyes turning back to Scylla, the behemoth asked, "Why not just kill her?"

Nero arrived, his expression one of boredom. Without word, he scooped the unconscious wolf up, meandered along and dropped her into the hole. The arctic giant informed her that her monsters weren't scary and Scylla frowned. "They're my artistic outlet. I'd like to see you do any better." The slate fae sulked momentarily, internally pouting. She was proud of her creations. Nero just didn't know what he was talking about.

Scylla lay on the edge of the pit, looking down over the edge. She'd tossed some glowing lichen down there so there was a faint greenish glow. The pale brutes voice questioned her and the small fae scoffed lightly. "Before we can question her and figure out where she came from? Before we know if there are more coming? Information, darling Nero. She's alive because I want information." Maybe his skull was thicker than she thought.

Picking up a little pebble, Scylla tossed it down the hole, tinking the unconscious woman in the shoulder, the neck, the head. "Time to wake up, darling," she purred in low, sing-song tones, her voice echoing as it bounced down the hole towards Kaija.

One wrong move and everything went abruptly dark as Kaija felt pressure tightening around her neck. There was no pain, nothing at all really, just the sweet release of dark unconsciousness.

She was blissfully unaware of how much time passed, if any, when she woke up as quickly as she'd passed out. Something kept hitting her over and over, not painful but definitely aggravation. Suddenly she came to and first she coughed, noting her sore throat and neck before anything else. Then she tried to move, and felt a deep ache in her joints - no doubt from how she'd been... thrown down here?

Groggy and disoriented, she lifted her head, lilac gaze scanning the hole that she'd been apparently thrown into.

"Morning, beautiful," Kaija croaked out, trying to get a good look at the woman who stood high above her. The look on her own face was a mix between a grin and a sneer. Yep, that was the little bitch that had caught her trespassing. Ah well - it'd been worth a try. Didn't think the Raiders would come looking for her now, but surely she could find her way out of this mess. Surely...
