Elys babies were growing quickly. Each of them wide eyed and ready to take on the world in their own way. She couldn’t help but love to watch the way they’d begun to show their own interests already. So young, so… moldable.

Her daughter Cressida seemed to have an appetite for information, much as she did. So today she wanted to begin helping her daughter hone such a skill set. One she personally believed to be quite valuable to the syndicate. Much as her own mother would disagree.

Nosing at the frame of her daughter she did her best wake the girl from her slumber. ”Sida, Wake up” she demanded as gently as she would offer her child. Before she made her way out of her temporary home to wait for her daughter’s illuminated pelt to appear from within.


"Ely & Ezekiel"

Oddly it seemed that whenever Cressida was in a deep slumber. Resting away the activities of the night before is when someone chose to disturb her personal space. However, this time it so happened to be the one whom given her life. A yawn broke out and parted once sealed lips. A stretch to loosen up tight muscles soon followed by the soft pad of her paws. Carrying her to the open mouth of their den. To where her mother awaited patiently.

The excitement she’d heard shortly before is what beckoned the small pup awake. Attention focusing solely on the woman, Cress gave a small smile and wag of her tail. ”Yes, mom?” She spoke softly, gently. Her voice still holding a hint of sleepiness to the tone. Though the warmth of the morning sun would soon provide her with much needed energy as time passed.

Elysia was proud that her daughter wasted little time in joining her outside of their den. The little things that she was proud her children were picking up on by themselves. She offered her daughter a warm smile. ”Sida, I’ve noticed your thirst for knowledge. Today I’m going to feed that thirst”

Patting the ground beside her ely laid leisurely in the grass waiting for her daughter to snuggle up to her. ”I think it’s time you learn a little about mommy and Uncle Ze’s childhood and your Grandparents on our side of the family” she mused warmly.

Though this story would not be all that happy in the standards of anyone outside the Saxe family , to ely it was. The stories she’d share with her children made her who she was and to her that was the happiest of tales. Ely would not raise her children on fairy tales and stories of rainbows. Her children would be raised on reality.

She idly made her way to her mother’s side. Taking comfort in the warmth that was snatched away only moments before. Nostrils flared in capturing the woman’s maternal perfume. The scent alone calmed her nerves and no further actions were needed.

Attention climbed upward until a pair of yellow and blue eyes met those of Ely’s. Ears drawing forward to tune in on the history she knew would bring knowledge to her future. Only a mere pup of months and Cressida felt the urge to know about everything. From why the earth was made to what happened when they died. ”Im ready.”
