Yes Soup For Me! [Fable]

After a successful hunt and stomachs full the hunting party disbanded, but Marrow remained by the bison's corpse. She was eager to continue her experimentation with cooking food and combining different things to make different flavors, although perhaps she was getting ahead of herself. She was till learning to cook with a bison stomach after all. It was proving to be a difficult process but she would figure it out. She always did.
Marrow emerged from the carcass, the stomach in tow. Blood stained her snow white fur. Shaking a chunk of intestine off her neck she dragged the stomach over to a fire started by her crow companion. It was warmer in the south but still the winter air had a chill to it. A nice bowl of soup would be perfect to finish off this day, if she could just get it rigged up right.

While she might have prepared a buffet for Oki's daughter at Hemlock, she wasn't quite ready to give herself over to pack life again. She had been a kept creature for far too long, and though it primed her ego to know her talents were so coveted... right now, freedom tasted better than the rarest ingredients a king could provide. Fable had decided to explore some of the more southerly areas of the continent once spring was in bloom - she was chasing the delicious heat of summer and heavy, sun-ripened fruit, but she knew she'd have to wait. Things always progressed faster where the sun shined brighter, so she wasn't discounting any possibilities. She had heard the call to hunt sound across the open prairie and watched them fell the creature from a distance, but all too quickly they had disbanded and left the rest of the corpse to rot in the high sun. Amateurs. Delicious organ meat still hid deep within while most of the party had only scratched the surface. Fable was debating sneaking in to grab a few choice bits before the coyotes and other scavengers descended when she spotted a yearling extricating herself from the belly of the fallen animal. She was pure white, but she came out streaked and spattered with blood. Fable grinned as she watched the enterprising young girl drag the beast's sizable stomach over to what looked like a cooking fire. Ahhh, she did miss the mentorship aspect of having a large working kitchen. She stretched her front legs long and low then padded off from her hiding spot tucked in the grasses a short distance away and closed the gap between them to introduce herself. "Hello there, are you looking to prepare something special?" She asked, gesturing to the stomach. "Did you know there's a few separate compartments inside that there thing? Best make sure you've got it good and cleaned before you get started." speech |

Marrow released the stomach and stretched her jaws for a moment. Crows and ravens were starting to file in but that didn't bother her. Most nipped at the areas of the corpse where the wolves had created many entry points. Now with the stomach free a number of other entrails where easier to access for the other scavengers. Suddenly another wolf appeared. Marrow's ears flicked back her head lowering protectively over the stomach. Was this woman here to steal her food? To try to take what so many other's had during her puphood?
Marrow watched warily, slowly dropping her defensive poster as the strange woman spoke, seemingly with quite a bit more knowledge than most other. Many wolves didn't bother with the stomach but this woman new about cleaning it and using it. Her ears flicked forward, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as she nodded. "Yes! I know about the compartments. I want to try making some soup. Have you made soup before? Do you use one compartment in the stomach or is it best to keep it altogether? Do you put the hot rocks in or just heat it from below? Do you-" An ear flicked back as she realized the mess of words spilling from her.
"Sorry, I'm new to this. My name is Marrow. What's yours?"
