Ah her beloved place of all places. Right above her love for the tar pits among a couple of other places. Medusa danced across the battlefield, giggling as she moved to find a good spot to begin a fight. Or at least, hoping to find a good fight, anyway. The Daemon's bone armor rattled upon her body as her claws scraped the ground in a bid for the perfect spot, and of course, she had found it. The ground was stained with blood, and there was even a fresher spot just feet away. It seemed some unfortunate soul had lost more than just a fight here. Humming to herself for a moment, she threw back her head and called for someone to fight! "Medusa"

the yearling approaches at a brisk trot, eating up the distance between himself and his opponent in a few long strides. he takes stock of this woman, noting her unusual pelt and the strange, almost manic energy radiating from her. her experience is obvious to him in the self-confident way she holds herself, the eager, easy-going gleam in her eye. Styrmir pauses with just enough space between them to be polite, and inclines his head in greeting. "Styrmir Trygg. i've come to answer your call." he splays his legs, head lowering to cover his throat. adopting a defensive stance. apprehension sings through his veins, and the fur along his spine lifts. he is...not as experienced as he'd like, admittedly - but here is the opportunity to learn.

Someone arrived! Much to her delight! A stranger, a yearling stranger, and although she didn't know him, she did know the pack scent on his coat! A hemlock wolf, eh? The name was also unknown to her (as she never really got personal with Vidarr so Trygg was unknown to her tbh), but she very much knew Delphi and she liked Delphi! She turned her full attention to the yearling boy, her grin spreading wide as her claws scraped the ground. "Medusa! Get ready!" She exclaimed for a brief moment as she watched him settle into a defensive stance. Once she felt all good and proper (was she ever really anyway?) She launched herself toward her opponent, slender legs eating away at the ground as she aimed to come at him head on, only she didn't quite do that, oh no. She feinted first toward his left, then his right, kicking up dust much like a zigzagging jackrabbit as she sought to get in a good nip on his shoulder in her bid to get past him! the woman - Medusa - comes at him quickly, aiming for a direct, head-on attack. Styrmir braces himself for the impact, tensing as he prepares to absorb the blow. at the last moment, however, the woman feints in two different directions, making his head spin. Styrmir shakes himself, a frustrated growl slipping past his lips as she aims for his shoulder. her misdirection serves its purposes, and he's unable to throw up a defence in time to block the blow. pain shoots up his arm, throbbing as he releases a low hiss. frustration and admiration war within him; this woman clearly means business. at least her current position lends itself to more close-up attacks, and Styrmir intends to take full advantage of this, shifting to aim a blow on the side of her neck. hopefully she won't have gotten a chance to move out of range; regardless, Styrmir's now at a disadvantage, given his throbbing shoulder.

She cackles as her movements succeed in confusing and frustrating him, and even more so as her attack lands right where she wanted it! She was a whimsical and very often a feral fighter, little thought to what she was actually gonna do until she was already doing it. Her teeth made contact and she can taste the bit of blood she extracted from him before releasing, but at this close of a proximity, her approach was slowed a little and it was just enough for her opponent to land a blow on the side of her neck. It shifts her momentum, causing her to wince a bit as she was certain a bruise would follow, but nothing she couldn't handle of course. Playfully growling, she spins on her heel, pivoting to face him as her hips swing away from him as she aims to rise up and throw the upper half of her body against the side of his, forelegs seeking to slam over his back as her jaws sought control of his head via attempting to grab his scruff. his opponent is a whirlwind of movements, a storm of limbs and teeth and fur so fierce Styrmir has barely had time to gain his bearings before Medusa is spinning away from him again. and then, a heartbeat later, she’s twisting back to face him and making to plant her forepaws across his back, pinning him to place. Styrmir doesn’t have time to move away; her jaws close around his scruff and a furious noise rumbles from deep within his belly, a snarl peeling back the black flesh of his lips. thrashing, the boy kicks out and attempts to scrabble at Medusa’s shoulders to gain leverage, needing the space to properly dislodge her, but alas, it seems his luck has run out: the other fighter has pinned him rather skilfully, and her nimble movements mean she’s kept the most vulnerable of places out of reach. forgoing technique, Styrmir snaps his teeth at any exposed skin he can find, scrambling for purchase.
