With his eyes wide open, Atticus surveyed his surroundings. He felt a pressing need to familiarize himself with the various lands and territories nearby; it was crucial for safeguarding his siblings. Atticus was determined to help them thrive while also gaining knowledge of the land. Today, he found himself at the springs, his ears twitching atop his head as his raven-colored paws moved deeper into the area, his head held high. Though he was relaxed, there was an underlying tension within him.
His gaze was drawn to the small pools and rocky formations, his tail flicking behind him as he made his way toward the water. The scene before him was captivating, completely capturing his attention. He lifted one of his sleek black paws and dipped it into one of the central pools, feeling the warmth of the water envelop him, pondering its source.
A hint of confusion flickered in his left ear as he observed the pool, spacious enough for his large frame. Sinking further into the soothing liquid, he felt even more at ease, yet his eyes remained vigilant, taking in every sound and sight around him.

Enyo’s gaze cut through the tranquil scene with the same sharpness she applied to every other aspect of her life. Making sure there was no dangers present before she approached her brother. Her eyes narrowed with a mix of disdain and scrutiny. If she had become so enthralled with something so mundane she would be harshly judged. She observed him from a distance, her haughty demeanor apparent even in the way she carried herself. Really Atticus? She felt the urge to say something but stopped herself. They had a Nike at home, there was no need to become another here. For now, they were all free from her spite. The last thing Enyo wanted to become was her mother.
“Hello brother." she greeted him as she padded over to sit beside him. The air is humid with the half-crescent springs. "This land, it has much to offer. In such a short time, I have seen so much beauty." Dare she say it was more beautiful than home? Or was home too monotonous and now that she had something newer to gaze at she glorified it? Although she could never forget that there were far more pressing matters at hand, she saw no harm in taking a moment to relax with her brother. " This land we so diligently survey is just a speck in the grand scheme of the Dunamis legacy.”
“I suppose it’s admirable in a way. The way our parents throw us into the fire. They have much faith. Let us not forget that there are expectations placed upon us. Enjoy these brief excursions into nature. I have a feeling we have much work ahead."
Enyo flicked her gaze towards the shimmering water, a smirk playing at her lips as she continued. She had to admit, it’s almost endearing how he could become so absorbed in the trivial. Perhaps there was a lesson to learn. She was uptight and irritated as of late, although she tried not to show it. She would look at Atticus, his pelt so much like hers and she would mimic him. Easing her giant body into the warm water and sighing. It eased her sore muscles.

Her scent gave her away before she had to say anything. His attention turned to her listening to the words that fell from her. He soaked inside the pools enjoying the warmth and the heat, helping his muscles and body become relaxed. Especially after their journey here to these new lands. "Hello sister," he greeted as she came closer and sat down. "I will agree with that, there is much beauty here. Although nothing will ever get tiring from home, it ways this new land offers so many oppertunities that we may not have had while we were home." They would be fools to not miss home. "There are much expectations with us from our parents. Although yes, we do have much work ahead of us. We do need to take some time away from our duties Enyo. And enjoy these small adventures for ourselves."
His voice calm and collected as the piebald woman sank into a pool, "We will need to show the others, it helps with our journeys. We've never had pools like this at home." sure, the brute did miss home, but this whole land opened new doors for the Dunamis legacy as his sister had stated. Allowing his massive frame to sink down into the waters more. Eyes half open-half closed he turned to Enyo. "Have you found anyone that catches your fancy?" Atticus questioned with a gentle ease, lately he's been on edge and always on the look out for his family and the safety of them all, he needed this.
A yawn snuck up on him out of no where soaking in the waters for a moment, he didn't have the thick hair like his siblings have so these waters helped to warm him a little more than normal. He rose up and stepped from the pool. Heavy paws placed carefully, silently almost. Ears turn towards the shadows, then to his sister. Wondering if she was hungry. "I hear some deer, if you'd be up for a hunt." His voice calmer and at ease as his visionaries turned to the sister, allowing the water to drip from his frame more before he'd give a shake of his body.

She listened to his comment of admiration for home. How different. She was grateful to be out here and away from their parents. Though, she would never voice that to anyone other than Foberos. Her eyes sank halfway closed as she fully eased into relaxation. Atticus was always one she got along with, she often found humor and dubbed him the pretty boy of the family. It seemed all the feminine beauty she lacked was blessed upon him.
"Ah yes, these pools are nice indeed. If you see the others before I do, be sure to tell them." She relished the warm bubbling sensation against her aching shoulders. This pool was just deep enough to go up to her neck when lying. She leaned against the side of the pool and sighed, there was no need to feel guilt. At his next question she couldn't help but chuckle, "No, unfortunately. I haven't had time to find a woman." Lovers, while taboo in other families, were simply another hobby or activity to the Dunamis.
God did she miss her women back home. They would be rubbing her muscles, advising her, assisting her with hunts, and all because they grew to admire her that much. Worship her even. Such a shame.
"How about you brother? Anyone catch your eye?", she asked before he spoke next. At the promise of deer, she would stand up immediately and shake multiple times. Her thick pelt would hold a lot of water, weighing her down otherwise. It had been a while since she hunted a larger prey and she was itching with excitement.
"I would love to brother!" she said eagerly. Perking her ears she would listen for the familiar pattern of deer steps. Even taking a deep inhale to hopefully catch a scent.

He listened to her as she spoke. Atticus was always a gentleman soul though, much older than he seemed. In his mind atleast. The sister Enyo was always a warm welcome though. Someone that he could relax around and help the others also relax when the time called. He nodded, missing his own women back home. Or the bonds he was forging with a few of them. He didn't say a word to anyone about his feelings, especially his family.
He quickly shook his head as she asked him if any women had caught his attention. Which was ever so true. "These lands are unsafe for me to be able to chance my luck at finding a woman or a few. I need to make sure the family is secure and safe first. You know this dear sister." He was cautious but that wasn't always a bad thing.
He come to know these lands a little better than the others he had arrived with, careful paws and nose to the ground catching the deers scent. Atticus's paw steps more lighter with such careful placement. Eyes turning to look to his sister. A quick click of his tongue offered. His tail lowered as his body also. Eyes not once leaving the large buck infront of them.
Atticus kept his gaze locked and waiting for his sister to come and join with the hunt. He was the more brains than brawn, although the masculine was large and would be easy to take the buck down. He wanted to see if his sister still had it however. How easy she took them all hunting and she'd lead. Ears erect upon his skull lowered.
3/3 Navigation - Explore The Hot Springs
Her nose had been to the floor the moment Atticus announced that he desired to go hunting. Quickly they both would track down the scent. Enyo prowled through the forest, her fur shimmering under the dappled sunlight that filtered through the budding leaves. The forest was alive with the vibrancy of spring, the scent of wildflowers mingled with the earthy aroma of damp soil. Something that Enyo hoped she could take advantage of. Her sharp eyes tracked the trail of a large white-tailed deer buck, its tracks faint but discernible against the soft ground. The hunt was on, but the warmth of day made the pursuit less urgent, more a dance of patience and skill.
Being sure to keep low, her paw steps were ghost-like in their silence, she spotted the deer froze. Instinct taking over. The woman took a moment to glance at Atticus, not sure who was taking the lead on this. It did not take long for her to read that it was she who would be leading. Enyo moved silently through the underbrush, her padded paws barely making a sound on the forest floor. The gentle rustling of leaves and the distant song of birds created a serene backdrop, contrasting with the focused tension of their hunt.
The buck was just ahead, a good specimen at that. A shame his life would end. But his strength would become her's and his body would not be wasted. The deer was grazing in a small break between trees. Nibbling on soft tender shoots in the sunlit clearing, Enyo would silently signal for Atticus to position himself to the right of the deer, she on the other hand would move to the left. Enyo advanced with deliberate slowness, her powerful muscles tensed and ready. The buck's ears twitched, and it raised its head, sensing the shift in the forest's rhythm. Immediately the she-wolf would go silent.

Silence fell around them. The birds seemingly growing silent within the branches of the trees around the pair. Navigating was something he honed in on since a child, something he truly did enjoy to say the least. He however known that his sister known what she was doing, and it woould help her in the long run especially with tracking. There was always reason in Atticus's movements and plans. Watching her move towards her spot, hidden although barely.
His eyes now trained on the buck ahead of them. He stayed close by to were he was, lowering against the ground. Ears laced tight against his cranium. He would pause and advance ever so delicately. Percision was a thing that they needed, especially with how large they were. He fell silent as the bucks leg rose and fell to the floor, causing a gentle but effective warning sound.
Atticus's mouth watered with hunger, as the male would wait for Enyo to go in for the kill first. He did enjoy watching her hunt, it was a game of cat and mouse. A skill she had learned from failed and successful hunts since she was old enough. A twitch of his ear as the buck was weary but fell to grazing once more.
Enyo was constantly aware of the eyes focused on her. The never-ending analysis, judgment, and observation to decide if she was worthy to lead her brothers. It was why she carried herself so highly when in their presence. She just knew one of them was waiting for her to show weakness so they could pounce upon it. Whether that was Atticus' intention or not did not matter, it just mattered that she performed up to expectations.
Enyo was far from new to hunts, from the minute she was old enough and decidedly ready her parents had thrown her into the fire. One of the first things Enyo learned was to conceal their ostentatious pelts and muffle her steps. The Dunamis, at least the predominantly white-coated ones often stood out amongst the underbrushes of green and browns. It was not beyond her to roll in mud, but there was no need to do so now.
Her formidable body was nearly imperceptible once she took the position. There was bramble and tall blades of grass, the hot springs also helped to briefly conceal their scent. Every time the deer raised its head she would freeze, even hold her breath till it returned to grazing. Quietly she would inch closer till she was at the edge of the taller blades.
If she failed to pounce, she would ideally herd the deer straight into Atticus' jaws.
The moment the opportunity presented itself, Enyo would pounce forward. Her powerful haunches propelled her off the ground. The buck would move to escape but Enyo clamped onto its hoof just before it was out of her reach. Slowing it down. She would hold onto its ankle, biting down as hard she could while pulling back with her powerful body. Muscles rippled under the still-wet fur as her shoulders attempted to drag the beast. However the buck did not give up, it kicked out with its hind leg, smacking Enyo in her chest nearly knocking the air out.
However, she knew better than to let go.

Atticus watched and waited for the buck that is until his sister was kicked, growls and snarls stolen forth, the growl had the buck more alert now, still trying to get the other predator from his back legs. The ivory male with some ebony stalked forward, his muscles moving under a ocean of blood. The brute would launch then, his muscles which in turn were completely coiled - uncoiled in a second. Sending the large frame for the throat or what ever he latched on too. Ears laced back tightly against his skull.
His sister took a hit that she'd feel later on or tomorrow, but not with some of the knowledge that Atticus had. With luck the buck didn't jerk his head up, and Atticus latched on to it's nose and mouth. Powerful jaws clamping. The buck would try to shake the large male free, but without luck. Adrenaline poured over the brother as he bolted himself against the ground, securing and planting himself against the ground below his own massive body.
Pulling and yanking away from the buck, feeling some skin tearing. Twin peaks laced once again against his skull as the buck gave a muffled cry against the attackers.
Enyo’s grip remained unwavering despite the fierce kicks that pummeled her. The buck’s frantic thrashing rattled her muscles, but she was unyielding. She had tasted victory in the metallic tang of blood now coating her tongue, and it fueled her even more. She held firm as the beast fought for its life.
A snarl rumbled from her chest, reverberating through her clenched jaws. She could feel Atticus taking his place in the hunt as his teeth sank into the buck’s muzzle. His move was strategic and precise. The young male was quick to follow her lead, securing the buck's head, ensuring the creature couldn’t break free. The tension between predator and prey was palpable. Enyo's fiery, calculating eyes flicked toward her brother, noting the way he had locked the buck’s head in place. It was a moment of clarity amidst the chaos. His positioning created an opening....an opportunity for Enyo to finish the hunt.
With a powerful shift of her weight, she readied herself. Her muscular legs, thick and built for this very moment, coiled like springs. She felt the full force of the buck's desperation beneath her, but the deer's struggle was futile. Enyo was born for battle, for the kill. In one explosive motion, she surged upward, releasing the buck’s hind leg for just a split second. It was all she needed. Her body twisted in mid-air, as she launched herself toward the exposed neck of the buck.
Once her paws landed, her jaws found their mark. The powerful muscles in her neck and shoulders activated as her teeth pierced the buck's throat. Her grip was merciless... The taste of blood flooded her senses, a fitting reward for her efforts. She could feel the buck’s life ebbing away beneath her. Every time it tried to resist, Enyo would jerk, using her paws to pull back. The kicks weakened. Another kick would come and she would repeat it until she felt the trachea shatter. The resistance faltered.
Enyo, gave a final wrench of her head, ensuring the kill. Ripping a chunk of throat out in the process. She went for another bite, you could never be too thorough. She loosened her grip only when the buck’s body slumped to the earth, lifeless, its struggles reduced to nothing more than a fading tremor. Her chest and face were saturated with crimson, having been painted by the splatter and fountain of blood that continued to leak from the gaping wound in the buck's throat.
Panting slightly, she stepped back with an air of triumph. Of satisfaction. Her silver-blue eyes locked onto Atticus. There was no need for words, this is what they were made for. A hunt well-executed. And another reminder of the unstoppable force that was the Dunamis.
"Very well done brother. That was a catharsis I didn't know I needed.", she would give him one final look before digging into the flesh, "Let us feast. We can bring the rest to the others."

His rosen tongue licked away the blood that splattered among her facial features, she was too pretty too be tainted by such a thing. It was a gentle and kind act, securing their sibling bond also. A smile once more as he turned to grab a chunk of meat, almost as if it was an effortless tear of flesh, he ate making sure to leave some for the others as well. He couldn't help but chuckle at thoughts words soon slipping out between bites. "My dear sister. You never fail to amaze all of us with your hunting." A simple compliment. "I think that the others would also enjoy some of this fresh kill. But you must also eat first before the journey back." He needed to make sure she ate also. As he lowered upon his belly, rolling to his side. Ears flicking at the smallest sounds. Keeping a watchful eye for any others.
