Valkeyrie
It was the lazy part of the day, so she would be getting ready to head home. The woman had half a mind to visit the willows she saw in the distance but decided against it. Despite being sore from her most recent encounter with an angry donkey she did not rest and instead found more to do in order to ignore her aching body. Her head, despite its occasional pulsing throb, seemed to be healed for the most part. The donkey was more of a blunt force as opposed to sharp piercing attacks. Which she was thankful for otherwise she would have to force herself to pull back on the expeditions until the open wounds healed. As far as she was informed, none of her siblings were skilled in poultices and medical practices. Which was fine, but it wouldn't have hurt.
So there she was, standing on the hill. The willows behind her and to her right, far in the distance, she could see the barren dunes in all their wasteland glory. Enyo had no reason to ever return there. Quietly the war goddess sat, enjoying the birds all sing and call and argue amongst each other. Making sure that everyone and every bird within earshot knew this was their tree, their nest, or their domain. Usually, she would be annoyed but she had been trying to create more mindful moments for herself.
There was much to do and the stoic woman was always aware of the burden of her responsibilities.

The medium female trekked across the land, her luxurious black fur reflected the light in a varying array of cool toned colours. She had come straight here from the mines where she had barely escaped with her life after finding the glowing worms. She was not injured yet the experience while terrifying at the time had given her an interest in exploring hidden areas. One her way she had cautiously picked across the edge of a battlefield, not wanting to be pulled into any scuffles that could have possibly being going on. The scent of blood had been strong. Then she had crossed what too seemed to be a battlefield, yet this one seemed more ancient and so she had not problem moving across it. Sure nothing would happen. Now she had reached a terrain that was covered with grass and boulders, she grinned to herself, knowing she was where she wanted to be. Somewhere amongst the stones and boulders was an entrance to cavern that she had travelled here to see. Her walk was calm yet determined as she searched for the beautiful yet deadly cavern. One would think that after her recent escapade in the mines she would not be willing to venture back into a dark enclosed space but apparently this enclosed space was not dark. A fact that intrigued her. As she walked a scent caught her attention, and she glanced around. Her eyes falling to a massive brute of a creature standing atop a hill ahead of her to the right. Her head cocked curiously at the creature; this land was fascinating. It seemed to be filled with gigantic wolves, she had never seen so many large wolves before in her life. Her own frame seemed miniscule in comparison to the creatures she was coming across. The piebald creature sat, seemingly listening to the birds. It was not often that one met another who seemed to have interest in nature. The monotone female changed her course, making her way towards the seemingly calm giant, once she reached her she spoke. ”It is not everyday that you see one enjoying the company of birds” she said, her voice calm. Her body showed little emotion yet if one were to look closely enough one would see kindness in her eyes. |
Enyo’s piercing gaze tracked the approach of the newcomer with a mixture of intrigue and interest. The sight of the smaller she-wolf with her glossy black fur shifting between greens and purples in the fading sunlight piqued Enyo’s curiosity. There was a certain elegance to Valkeyrie’s presence, her lustrous coat spoke of good hygiene which was something Enyo often noticed immediately. She did not have the pleasure of meeting other women yet, so she would be careful not to be too abrasive.
As Valkeyrie closed the distance, Enyo allowed a hint of a smirk to play at the edges of her mouth. Her grand figure remained seated atop the hill, her thick fur gleaming in contrast to the colorful sky. The faintest hint of fear from the battlefield in the air intertwined with the fresh earthy smell of grass and dirt. With a deliberate movement, Enyo rose to her full height, her silhouette casting a long shadow over the grass and rocks. Her head was held high, and her posture exuded unshakable confidence.
“Indeed,” Enyo’s voice, thick and rich, rumbled like distant thunder, “the birds seem to appreciate the calm. Something I am learning not to take for granted. Rarely do I get the opportunity to revel in such a serene setting.” Her silver-blue eyes, shimmering with an almost ethereal glow, locked onto Valkeyrie with an intensity that she did not care to hide. It was hard to make conversation with a wolf you did not know well enough to pull topics from. So, she would start with the basics. A compliment. If not delivered in a slimy way, it may be well received and add a layer of comfort for both of them. Enyo took a few steps forward, her powerful limbs moving with care “And yet, I must admit, it is even rarer to encounter a wolf so willing to conversate. Your fur, I must admit, it seems to capture and reflect the light in a way that is rather captivating,” she remarked, her tone smooth and inviting, tinged with subtle flattery. Her gaze lingered on Valkeyrie before briefly moving away. It was true, having been a bit closer she realized there was almost an oil-like sheen to her coat. Something she had not seen before. Although, Enyo did not want to creep the woman out. She made sure to keep her distance.
Men often lacked tact in such things, having never been intruded upon. Never preyed upon the way they preyed upon women... Enyo remembered the few encounters with wolves who were overbearing and ignored the shudder of embarrassment creeping in her chest. Some males lacked such companionship that they craved an abrasive personality but never received such advances. Ugh. Disgusting creatures, some often proved to be. No, she would not invade this woman's space. It was one of the many ways she showed respect for women.
“My name is Enyo, may I ask who you are?” Enyo inquired. Her words were laced with a delicate yet palpable allure, a sophisticated dance of charm and authority. Enyo’s demeanor was as calculated as it was charismatic, her every movement and glance designed to draw Valkeyrie in while subtly asserting her dominance. Though it was not an intentional assertion, Enyo was naturally a commanding figure.
She would look, wondering just who this she-wolf was. Where she resided. Was she passing through? Perhaps she would know in time with a little conversation.

She looked away, trying to compose herself after the rather flattering compliment, but that just made her feel awkward and so she shot her head back to look at Enyo. Dammit, that movement was too quick. She wanted to look calm and sophisticated like she always was, why was she being so weird? Why couldn't she be as calm and collected as this magnificent creature in front of her.
She shot her a toothy smile that looked almost goofy. "Why thank you, you yourself look like a mountain- I mean you have structure- you are nice. I'm Valkeyrie."
No no no
That was not what she meant to say.
Dammit. She fucked it up.
"Uhm well. It was nice meeting you I need to go to this mushroom- I mean cave" she gave Enyo a terse grin before walking off, all the way cursing herself for her awkwardness. She kinda hoped the woman would follow her, as excited as she was to explore the cave her previous cave experience made her shiver. It would be nice to have someone else with her.
Soon she reached the mouth of the cave that was the entrance to the glowshroom cavern. It looked quite plain and unassuming. A gash in the earth surrounded by rocks. The gash was large enough to accommodate one or two entering at once. Roots hung from the roof of the cave and would surely tickled anyone who entered. One could see the pathway into and the area outside the entrance as well worn. The area had no grass and were dry and dusty, she stood there staring into the depths of the cavern. She didn't see any glowing mushrooms yet.
Enyo watched Valkeyrie's reaction with a bemused smirk, her sharp eyes catching every nuance of the she-wolf's struggle to maintain her composure. The compliment, though given with Enyo's characteristic blend of authority and vanity, seemed to have struck a chord with the other wolf. Valkeyrie's attempt to mask her surprise only made her more endearing to Enyo, who relished the now rare sight of someone visibly affected by her words. To see Valkeyrie so clearly flustered by minimal effort only stroked Enyo's ego more, did she want to play with this new she-wolf? The idea seemed fun. Enyo wondered just how much more she could make Valkeyrie blush.
As Valkeyrie fumbled with her response, Enyo's gaze remained fixed on her, the coldness in her silver-blue eye softening into something more teasing. The she-wolf's awkwardness was charming in its own way, a contrast to Enyo's usually composed and regal demeanor. She allowed herself a small, almost inaudible chuckle at Valkeyrie's clumsy attempt at flattery and the subsequent hurried exit. Did she intimidate her that quickly? Was Valkeyrie truly done with this conversation or did she want to play a game of cat and mouse? Most women, Enyo had found, loved to be chased. To be earned.
"Oh, Valkeyrie," Enyo's voice followed, smooth and laced with amusement as she sauntered her way toward the cavern entrance. Slowly "There is no need to be so flustered. Your attempt to compliment me was... memorable. I must say, you can look at me longer if you'd like. I wasn't done looking at you, if you don't mind." She certainly enjoyed watching the darker woman so far. Enyo's stride was more relaxed, there was no need to be her usually domineering self. As she drew closer to Valkeyrie, her eyes remained fixed on the other wolf, a glint of mischief dancing in their depths.
As she observed the gash in the earth she was quite surprised. She would have never known it was here. Not only would this perhaps be a chance for her to seduce someone, but it would also double as another mission to gain knowledge. Although, if things went her way there wouldn't be much exploring. If they did have no romantic escapades then she would be fine. Enyo loved to hunt in more ways than one and often treated her flings as such. Sometimes you needed to take much more time than others. If you did not build up to the kill then where was the pleasure? Sometimes, she had strong urges and did not want to wait if she didn't have to. For now, she was content. Besides, she barely met this woman. Although she could not ignore the feeling that she could convince Valkeyrie of a fun evening alone with time.
"You speak of structure and mountains," Enyo continued, her tone both playful and probing. "May I assist you? Maybe you need a mountain to watch over you while you explore?" With a final, knowing glance, Enyo brushed past Valkeyrie, looking down at her with a confident smile. She enjoyed when she was larger and she knew her massive size and intense gaze were often what made a lady's stomach flutter with butterflies. Her shoulder lightly grazing the other wolf's as she approached the entrance of the cavern. Her touch was deliberate yet gentle, a subtle assertion masked by an air of casual flirtation.
Enyo said, her voice a low, inviting murmur. "After all, what is a grand adventure without a touch of grandeur? And you, my dear, seem to be in need of... a bit of assistance." she said the last half with a touch of ambiguity, a play on the words. Inviting Valkeyrie to apply whatever meaning she wanted.
Enyo's gaze lingered on Valkeyrie, her eyes scanning the cavern with a hint of curiosity and approval. The she-wolf’s voice softened a rare moment of genuine warmth threading through her otherwise aloof demeanor. "Lead the way, Valkeyrie. I am eager to see what this cavern holds- and perhaps, to enjoy your company a bit longer."
With that, Enyo stepped into the cavern, her powerful form cutting against the dim, rocky interior. The flicker of her interest in Valkeyrie quite evident.

The closer Enyo moved towards her the more she felt like electricity was dancing along her fur. She wanted nothing more than to press her body against the woman. It was just then that the woman spoke, brushing past her sending a surge of what felt like electricity through her body. She wanted nothing more than to be watched over by this mountain.
As if that wasn't enough the woman then spoke with a voice that was low and inviting. Without think Valkeyrie took a couple of steps towards the woman. She was flustered and every word that Enyo spoke seemed to make it worse, but if she didn't gain control of herself now she would lose this opportunity. A strange opportunity that she didn't even know she wanted.
With a deep breath she regained her outward composure, a skill she had learnt from years of practice. Her heart was still doing backflips in her chest and her stomach was dancing the can can.
"Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in this adventure. I wouldn't want to run into anything... unexpected and witb your impressive form I would surely have nothing to fear " she replied her voice suddenly calm albeit a bit breathless, her eyes still lingering on Enyo coyly.
She followed Enyo into the cavern walking close to her, but not close enough to touch. A decision she made somewhat purposefully. She walked like this for a while, studying the cavern walls as she did so. The rough rock was filled with fascinating patterns. Different to those in the previous dark tunnel she had been in. It was clear that here the split in the Earth was natural while the walls of the mine had been dug.
They did not walk for long before a dim blue light appeared up ahead and Val, who was already as excited as she was albeit in a different way, started walking faster. She was focused on up ahead as well as Enyo and so as they walked closer to the light Valkeyrie moved ahead of Enyo, letting her tail gently drag along Enyo's frame until it ran up her throat and under her chin. She giggled and skipped forward into the wider cavern, stopping as she entered in awe by the beauty.
The cavern was like any cave, dirt floor and stone walls. The physical structure held nothing remarkable. It was what the structure held that pulled her attention. Hundreds of mushrooms and fungi filled the cavern, growing out of nooks and crannies in the wall as well as the floor.
The fungi were in varying shades of Blues, greens and purples. All emitting a faint glow that combined lit up the entire cavern. It was almost magical. There was a pathway that wound itself from where they stood to the middle of the cavern where several wolves could stand quite comfortably. From the clearing in the middle of the cavern two more paths wound their way toward the cavern walls to which she assumed were more tunnels and caverns.
As she looked around in several spots she saw what she at first thought were rather point rocks yet upon closer inspection they happened to be rib cages. The bones of a variety of creatures who had wondered into the field of fungi. She unconsciously shivered, seemed like a terrible way to go.
She looked over her should, remembering her companion and she flashed Enyo another coy smile, "Isn't it magical?" she asked.
The air was frivolous and flirty between the two women. Enyo followed Valkeyrie into the depths of the cave, not entirely sure of what to expect. Nearly mesmerized by the way Valkeyrie's coat reflected the ethereal glow of the luminous mushrooms further down the path. As Valkeyrie moved ahead, Enyo’s eyes tracked her with a keen, almost predatory intensity. Valkeyrie would explore the cavern, Enyo silently following behind the smaller woman and finding satisfaction in watching her. The joy and wonder upon the darker woman's face touched Enyo a bit, causing her to softly smile in the darkness. However useless this seemed to Enyo, it seemed quite fulfilling for her company. This area had a damp musk reminding the war goddess of potential danger.
She watched Valkeyrie hustle ahead, the younger she-wolf’s wonderous energy made her feel youthful to Enyo. A stark contrast to Enyo’s steady, imposing demeanor. Whatever Valkeyrie studied, Enyo would take a step closer to see what could possibly be so interesting. Paintings on stone... How fascinating. Yet, something was captivating about Valkeyrie’s coyness, the way she flirted between shyness and boldness. It amused Enyo, but more than that, it intrigued her. It was as if Valkeyrie was dangling a treat in front of Enyo's nose, as soon as Enyo thought she was going to bite... Valkeyrie pulled away.
As they entered the cavern, the glow from the mushrooms bathed the space in an otherworldly light, casting an eerie yet mesmerizing glow on everything it touched. Even the cavern seemed too smoothly carved to be natural. Just who exactly took the time to accomplish such a feat? Enyo’s eyes scanned the room, taking in the sight of the glowing fungi and the scattered bones that hinted at the cave’s dangers. Despite the beauty, her instincts remained sharp, ever vigilant. Especially with the earthy smell of bones. Were they foolish enough to consume the mushrooms? As Enyo turned to look at all the pathways and tunnels she feared they may have gotten lost.
Enyo stood there, her body still as her mind worked through all the possibilities. All the threats and danger. She had just decided that she would not go too far deep when Valkeyrie’s tail brushed along her body, teasingly trailing under her chin, a fleeting touch that sent a subtle shiver through her powerful frame. Her thick, velvety voice rumbling softly in her throat, “Careful, little raven.” The words dripped with both amusement and warning, her tone as dark and rich as the scent of mahogany and leather that clung to her. She followed at a measured pace, each step calculated, her gaze never straying from Valkeyrie’s lithe form.
Valkeyrie would move away again, deeper into the widening maw of the cavern. Enyo would follow suit. Even more bones, rib cages, ulnas, and scapulas... Corpses were things that Enyo was all too familiar with. Their sight did not bother her. However, she noticed a pattern... Remnants often remained surrounded by the shrooms. Or did the fungi take advantage of the scarce nutrients and grow? The sight of the bones only fueled her protective instincts. A quality she often masked behind her arrogance but which was always present, especially when in the company of those she deemed worthy of it. So far, Valkeryie seemed quite deserving.
To make love in such illumination? How exciting!
Valkeyrie’s voice broke the silence, drawing Enyo’s attention back to her. "Magical, indeed," she replied, her voice carrying the weight of her authority. She moved closer to Valkeyrie, her large frame dominating the space between them as she took in the younger wolf’s awe-stricken expression. How cute, she would think in a nearly condescending way. Enyo’s gaze softened just a fraction, though her demeanor remained as formidable as ever. "But beauty often hides danger," she continued, her tone a low, rumbling purr, "These mushrooms clearly deadly to the touch- to the taste. Only a fool would be lured in without caution."
Harsh perhaps, to speak of the dead. But it was true.
She let the words hang in the air, her eyes locking onto Valkeyrie’s with a piercing intensity. "Stay close, Valkeyrie. I’ll ensure we have no misadventure… unless, of course, you prefer to flirt with danger." If that was the case, Enyo would not participate further. If Valkeyrie desired to go too deep or play around with the mushrooms, Enyo would not be of help.
Enyo’s thoughts were a whirlwind of strategy and desire, her mind already plotting the next move in this dance of power and attraction. How could she make Valkeyrie thirst for her in the manner she did? Valkeyrie’s modesty, and her shy yet bold gestures, were a challenge Enyo found herself eager to meet. At this moment, surrounded by the strange beauty of the mushrooms, she felt alive and invigorated by the push and pull of their rapidly growing connection.
"Although I'd prefer you flirted with me instead."

Normally she would be much more reserved. Perhaps it was something in the air, something the mushrooms gave off? Perhaps it was simply the connection? But suddenly she was not shy. This was a thought she felt was best not dwelt on. Rather she would simply enjoy it.
She lifted her paw, placing it on Enyo's chest, her eyes staring deeply into the other female's multicolored gems. "Is this close enough?" she asked in a breathy whisper, letting her desires take control.
Enyo's breath remained steady and controlled, even as Valkeyrie’s playfully flirtatious words reached her ears. The she-wolf’s approach was a bold departure from the timid caution Enyo had expected. For a moment, her icy blue and silver eyes flickered with intrigue. Valkeyrie’s forwardness was both amusing and a challenge Enyo could never ignore a challenge.
The touch of the paw on her chest sent a ripple of tension through her muscles, a silent acknowledgment of the unspoken energy between them. Valkeyrie’s eyes were locked onto hers, those desire-laden glances revealing impulsivity. Yet, Enyo did not move. She remained a statue of raw, unyielding power, her thick, luxurious fur only enhancing the contrast between her and Valkeyrie’s lithe form.
A slow smile curled at the edge of Enyo’s lips, though it held more menace than warmth. Danger? Yes, Valkeyrie had the right idea. There was always danger around Enyo, she was the embodiment of it. Her presence alone commanded respect and caution, yet here Valkeyrie stood, pushing boundaries, stepping into her space without a hint of fear.
"Perhaps you are," Enyo replied, her velvety voice laced with amusement, "Flirting with something you don’t fully understand." Her words were measured, a warning wrapped in a taunt, as her gaze bore down on Valkeyrie with the weight of her arousal.
She let the silence hang between them for a moment longer before finally shifting, her broad, muscular form moving just enough so that Valkeyrie’s paw slid slightly down her chest, her eyes never leaving the smaller she-wolf’s. The touch was electric, though Enyo remained in control, a pillar of restraint as her gaze darkened.
Is this close enough? Valkeyrie had asked, her voice breathy, filled with longing. Enyo’s eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of a smirk playing at the corners of her mouth.
“No,” she said, her voice dropping low, the weight of her authority palpable. “But I suppose you’ll learn soon enough what it means to be close to me.” There was no rush in her words, no eagerness. She enjoyed the game, the slow dance of control and desire that Valkeyrie had unknowingly stepped into.
Enyo lowered her head slightly, bringing her muzzle close to Valkeyrie’s ear, her breath warm against the other wolf’s fur. "but know that I always bite back." she whispered, her voice like silk over steel.
With that, she pulled back just enough to meet Valkeyrie’s gaze again, letting the tension between them settle. Her body was poised, powerful, a force of nature contained within a carefully measured exterior.
With that, the large woman would position herself over Valkeyrie, ready to dominate her body in ways she had yet to experience.
