Scylla

It was confirmed that Valta was no more and instead Obscura took its place, lead by none other than Scylla. Many of the youngest of Chimera's children along with Cerberus and Albion had left to join their sister's pack, taking valuable members and an ally away from Elysium. Still, despite all of those things, she couldn't bring herself to feel any kind of resentment or anger. It wasn't her place to feel that way after everything Scylla gave them. It would have been far easier to simply try to avoid contact with Scylla or her new pack, but she knew that wasn't realistic–even if Scylla would likely prefer it that way. They were too close to one another to completely avoid entirely and with the state of affairs the way it was she had to know where they stood with one another.
Deimos had offered to pay them a visit himself since he was already making his rounds to introduce himself to the other packs, but this one she said she needed to do herself. It wasn't a far walk from the edge of firefly lake to where Obscura's border encircled the land around Sunset Falls and Avacyn stood there for a moment trying to formulate what she might say before she finally tipped her head back to call for Scylla. Part of her wondered if Scylla would just ignore her, but regardless she settled onto her haunches to wait and see. Hopefully her decision to come on her own instead of sending Deimos or bringing Saracyn was a correct one. She just wanted to face Scylla on her own, woman to woman.

Ohhh. Oh oh oh, now that was a voice that Scylla never would have expected. Avacyn's distinctive tones rang out, echoing through the land around the falls. The slate and cream fae couldn't stifle the little giggle that crept from her throat. What on earth could the alpha of Elysium possibly want with her? Ahh, maybe she was here to return the children that she'd bargained for. Well, lady... she didn't want them. Drown them for all she cared. They weren't hers.
With a little pep in her step, Scylla made her way to the border, taking her sweet time and enjoying the scenery. She was in no rush. If Ava wanted something substantial, she could damn well wait. No one rushed Scylla, even less so now that she, too, possessed her own pack.
The foliage parted and the two women were left facing one another. Scylla seated herself on her side of the border, long tail curling around her paws. "Avacyn," she spoke in a breathy purr. "I never thought to see your face again. To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure?"
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.

There was a long pause of silence with just the sound of the near by river and falls in the air after she called for Scylla and as the minutes crept by she began to suspect that Scylla truly wouldn't see her. She wouldn't have been all that surprised if her call went unanswered, but it was a thought that hurt more than she expected it would. Scylla had every right to ignore her, but Avacyn had hoped that perhaps they could keep a working relationship if nothing else. She held her patience and continued to wait for a while longer and just as she was about to give up and turn back toward home she saw Scylla's slate and cream frame emerge from the trees.
Avacyn stood to greet her and only retuned to her haunches as Scylla sat across from her, the two of them divided by the pack's border. "Scylla," she replied in kind with a small dip of her head, though more formal and less obviously teasing than Scylla's greeting had been. As Scylla questioned her about why she was here Avacyn replied, "I heard that you had taken Valta and made a pack for yourself... I wanted to see if it was true for myself and congratulate you, I suppose." The details of how Scylla had come to acquire the pack were less known to her, but one way or another she had found herself in power and from what she had seen it seemed like many of Valta's members had stayed so she had to assume it wasn't by some kind of twisted means like The Syndicate's formation had been.
There was a pause as she glanced toward the ground for a moment before she brought her gaze back to Scylla's and added with a little more softness to her tone, "Whether or not you believe it, I was worried about you, so it's good to see you doing well for yourself." She didn't know if Scylla would accept her congratulations and well wishes or if she'd laugh in her face, but either way she could at least say that she made an attempt to start mending some kind of bridge between them. She didn't expect them to be close or even friends if Scylla didn't wish it, but she hoped they could at least be cordial. Perhaps even that was too much to hope for.

Ava had heard that she'd taken Valta. "Taken... won in a drunken brawl... same thing." The blue fae shrugged slightly, head cocking to the side with a smirk. "Either way, here I am; Sovereign of Obscura." There wasn't a wolf on earth over her head now. She did what she pleased, when she pleased, and anyone that didn't like it be damned.
The amaranthine fae spoke once more, admitting that she'd been worried about her and Scylla's blue and grey gaze cut to the side, no longer staring brazenly into the face of the other woman. "No one needs to worry about me. I always come out on top." Perhaps she was lucky, but Scylla liked to think that it was because there were no lengths that she wasn't willing to go to. Not many wolves had that in them. Small, yes, but a total hard ass. Doing what needed to be done, regardless of whether it was ethical or not, that was her mindset.
"Thank you," the woman replied after a moment, her confident tones tinged with an edge of softness. It took a lot to admit that someone was worried and Ava had come all this way, so she deserved that, at least. Lifting one paw, Scylla waved the woman over the border and into Obscuran territory. "Will you stay for the night before heading back?"
