Alaric and his cane corsos were moving through the lush garden of the gods in a rather peaceful mood. Alaric was enjoying the warmer weather although he wasn't a fan of all the wetness that came with spring. However it was when the lighter grey cane corso named Cinder stopped in their tracks, their tail erect and the bristles along their spine raised did Alaric pause in his own tracks. "Cinder? What is it?" He called out to the corso, Maul was quick to bound over to the dog. Maul's tail soon raised too and he let out a warning bark. Alaric rushed over to see what was the matter, only to be met with the figure of a mountain lion in a nearby bush. The large cat did not look happy. Soon enough, the large cat would charge forwards towards the dogs. Alaric took no time to charge forwards towards it, his black maws peeling back to revel white fangs. He wouldn't take that disrespect so easily.

Eltrys was scouting across the Gods Garden, a thought in his mind about taking home some of the herbs to help the others. When he heard someone speak and noticed a light colored male and his companions looking curious. The scent of a large cat hit him just a moment before he saw it lunge for the smaller canines!

With a growl, he pushed against the earth, intent to assist his fellow canines. As the white male charged in Eltrys took on one of the feline's shoulders, his teeth sinking into the flesh and his claws raking over its ribs while it flailed against them.

"Speech!"

Before Alaric would get to the mountain lion, it stranger wolf appeared from the depths of the garden and attacked the mountain lion's shoulder. This caused Alaric to pause temporarily before charging forwards anyways. Alaric went for the back leg of the mountain lion, his maws splayed open and latched onto the hind left leg.

Maul and Cinder both let out defensive, deep, barks. They bluff charged the mountain lion in hopes of distracting it from their companion's attack. Their barks were loud and repetitive, they would snap near the mountain lion's face. The mountain lion would hiss and swipe it's claws towards Maul, who backed up in the nick of time.

Eltrys was surprised that the other wolf would pause his charge when he came in to assist! But he paid the slight little attention as the cat rounded and tried for his throat. Just as the other finally landed their attack on the hind leg.

He was grateful for the dog's distractions as he dodged the cat's teeth with a jump back and let it focus on the dogs while it was getting pulled at the hind leg. The brown Guardian leaped back into the fray with a fervor! He launched with his mouth agape and latched onto the cat's neck just at the nape.

"Speech!"

Alaric shook his head violently as he tasted blood being drawn into his mouth from the injury he was causing the mountain lion. He watched as the brown wolf would jump out of the fray and the back in again, this time going for the large cat’s nape. Alaric released his hold on the leg and this time went to aim his jaws at the lower spine of the beast.

Cinder would distract the cat again by getting in its face but in the process received a nasty swipe to the nose. This caused Alaric to pause in his attack and call out the other wolf. “Let it retreat! There's no need for it to die unless you want it's pelt.” He called out as the mountain lion was trying to escape the fray of canines surrounding it.

His grasp on the cat's nape was solid and blinding. He heard the call of the other to him about releasing the beast and letting it escape. There were other reasons for Eltrys to kill it, but perhaps letting this one go would let it speak of the might of the wolves and make it hesitate its hunting of canines later.

With a snarl, he released the cat and pushed it away from him. Giving it more motivation to flee instead of turn and attack them once more. He huffed as he watched it slink back under the shadows of the undergrowth and trees. Its tail close to the ground.

His eyes remained locked on the cat and then scanned their surroundings.
"Is anyone hurt?" He asked, his eyes still glued to the scenery around them. Then satisfied he brought his attention back to the white male and his companions, "I'm Eltrys. Letting it go hopefully will let it tell its tail how we bested it." He remarked, and hopefully not enrage it further to seek out retribution.

"Speech!"
