The funny thing about poisons is that they hid within plain sight. A leafy vine or a beautiful bushel of white flowers could be so unsuspecting to those that didn't know what to look for. Delphi found this fascinating. Drawn to these plants by the peculiarity of her own blood that had the same effects as some more mild mannered poisons. Her studies into these plants had dropped off as of late, but with the future of her pack hanging in the balance, she wanted to do something for herself.
Traveling southeast around the volcano, she finds herself wandering through the blossoming cherry grove. It's sweet, floral scent masks the true treasures that she searches for. There is a bit of hesitation in her step as she crosses the border. Was a pack scent stronger here than when she was here last? Hm, maybe someone was wanting to expand here. Better to cultivate what she needed while she could.
Hurrying, Delphi heads toward a small stream that is lined with young trees and denser brush.
"Delphi"

It took a while to properly claim another territory. Each day was spent patrolling the border, adding layers of scent markers and nice little pieces of grotesquerie here and there. Soon the number of paws moving along the border would tamp down the grass, making it evident that this was a well used trail, trod by many feet.
Scylla was working on that when the scent of another caught her attention. The fae's pink nose twitched delicately as she tried the scent again. There was some familiarity to it, but she couldn't quite place who it belonged to. Well, one way to rectify that.
Padding through the redbuds at a leisurely pace, Scylla followed the scent until a small fae came into view. She was nicely colored, her markings bright against dark patches on a backdrop of white. The woman even looked familiar. "Hello," Scylla greeted in her usual silken tones. Grey and blue eyes scanned the plants in front of the fae and a grin tugged at her lips. "Out shopping, are we?"
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.

The silken tones of the other fae catch Delphi by surprise. Though she is nose deep within the plants, she is quick to withdraw, turning to look the other matriarch over. Familiar lines and size, Delphi is curious. A gentle smirk lines her dual colored lips, nodding softly in acknowledgment before turning back to the plant. Reaching a paw out, she trails a toe along one of the vines that begins to creep up a nearby tree.
"I must shop for myself these days as I can't seem to find someone I entrust to not kill themselves along the way," Delphi muses, her sharpened toenail quickly slicing a leaf from the vine and holding it precariously between her toes as she turns back to the woman. "Am I right to assume that you are the one soon to claim this grove?" Her head tilts lightly, mischief dancing in her eyes as she watches Scylla carefully.

The fae's response about shopping for herself pulled a chuckle from Scylla and she grinned in turn. "Oh, I know all about that. Best to collect your own poisons anyway," the slate and blue fae mused, "then you can always be sure of the quality." If one wasn't familiar with poisons, there was a likelihood that you'd collect the pretty leaves and not the correct leaves.
Again, the other fae speaks and Scylla nods. "A fine land to add to the pack. Full of useful things." Poisons, herbs, prey, water, all sorts of things. Plus others of the pack thought that the redbuds were pretty. It wasn't only her pack, so Scylla was being nice and diplomatic in that regard.
"And you," the long tailed woman moved in closer to the other. "You smell like family but I'm not sure which. I'm Scylla, daughter of Chimera and Sovereign of Obscura." Introduction made, she waited for the spotted fae to reply in turn.
