He had been traveling all over, keeping his distance from the packs for the most part until he arrived in Auster. He had scoped out the pack that lived in the castle, the one in the woods, the bamboo...and lastly was the one that lived at the Falls. What interested him most about this pack was the fact there was the heavy scent of a bear among the wolves, and he couldn't comprehend why that was so. Weren't bears and wolves natural enemies? It confused him just as much as it intrigued him, so he decided to kind of just...watch from the outside for now. Wondering if he'd get a chance to see that bear, but so far, no luck.
He decided he would camp out in the nearby woods. That way if the bear or the members of the pack turned out to be hostile, he could use the cover to make a quick get away if he needed to. He had found a nice hollowed out tree to use as a den, and had just caught some dinner to cook up for the night. The dog was weary from travel, but he wasn't so sure about how the wolves of this land would receive him.

The nights in Auster never ceased to amaze Haydée and, as the cool autumn day gave way to dusk, vibrant colors splashed the sky, bruising the horizon as the golden sun sank. The view from the top of the falls offers an uninterrupted show of the vast cloud-dotted sky and the small woman had abandoned her den in favor of watching the celestial show this night. Depression has driven her to hide away from the world but, sometimes, the outside still calls to her.
Colors darken and shift as the sun disappears and the nocturnal blanket is dropped and stars glitter like diamonds as the moon takes over. Haydée finally leaves her spot to trace the pathway back down to her den yet, as draw close to the yawning darkness that will lead her to her empty, cold home, the small woman hesitates and, instead, opts to take a small walk.
Slender paws pick their way down well-known paths as she absently follows her feet, mind far away as she unknowing leaves the safety of Polaris and delves into the territory where her father had lost his life. A large shadow flitting across her path pulls her from her wandering thoughts and Haydée involuntarily shrinks back as she finally registers where she is.
Nose works as she tries to detect any predators that are nearby, waiting to spring on an unsuspecting, small wolf but is surprised to find there is only an unfamiliar canine. Curiosity draws her toward them, the need to make sure they are okay overriding any sense of danger there might have been. Thoughts turn to a golden boy she had once loved, the gentle soul who had been swept out of her life by a rogue wave.
Part of her suddenly wonders if she will ever find Bay but the sight of weary dog, huddled in a hollowed-out tree chases away any further thoughts. Coming to a stop some distance away, not wishing to scare the canine, Haydée softly calls out, “Hello. Sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you are okay?” Concern fills her emerald eyes as she gazes at them, stance relaxed and open as she tries to relay to them that she is not a threat.
