Star Flowers

She wasn't sure why she thought it was a good idea to come out to the plains during these freezing and uncomfortable temperatures. Perhaps it was part trying to get out of her comfort zone, and part curiosity to see if there were any herbs or plants that she might be able to find that had maybe been able to survive this sudden frost. She pulled her cloak tighter around her shoulders as she moved from one shelter to the next, the afternoon sun hidden behind heavy gray clouds. The ground wasn't exactly ideal for growing conditions, much less in the state that Auster was in, but she supposed she was hopeful about it. Especially after her father had been recently and gravely ill, she wanted to do more and find ways to keep him healthy, even in his old age.
