He was feeling much better than he had in a long while. An illness had struck him hard. Pneumonia, probably. He had felt like he was dying and actually thought he might for months until finally, with constant treatment and care from his mate, it started to clear up. He had trouble breathing still from time to time, but at least he could finally go on short walks and enjoy the outside air. At least, he'd enjoy it alot better if it weren't so damn cold and wet! Instead of going outside and risking getting sick again with the way the weather was, he opted to remain inside the castle, sitting near the hearth for warmth. For once in his life, he felt bad that his illness had kept his family from doing things around the pack. Neither his wife nor his daughters had wanted to leave his side as they weren't sure if he was going to pull through. But when he did start to feel better, he had to practically beg them to go and live their lives. Make friends. Whatever it was they wanted to do.
