Intruder alert

It was a cold night in Auster. Alaric was returning to his makeshift den in hopes to clear it out one last time before moving permanently up towards Boreas. The grounds were icy and cold beneath Alaric's black feet as he moved towards the scent. His cane corsos, Maul and Cinder, lugged behind him. That's when the winds carried a new scent into Alaric's nose. An intruder in his den. A coyote, from the smell of it. Alaric let out an offensive huff from his nose.
Immediately, Alaric charged into the warmth of his den. He spotted the coyote curled up on the warmth of the fur that lined the tops of the floors. His maws splayed open and he sought the tail of the coyote. He latched upon the limbs and began to pull it back out of the den. The coyote twisted and snapped its maws at Alaric, letting out an enraged yowl of pain. The coyote’s teeth landed on Alaric's cheek and pulled the existing scar there, threatening to reopen the old wound. Alaric released the tail and charged forwards in a dominant pin.
The coyote bolted back into the den before the pin could be completed and backed itself into the corner, snarling with its ears pinned back. Alaric's tail curled over his back in dominance as he stood before the much smaller coyote. “Well?? Come get some.” He snarled snarkily at the coyote before launching himself at the small canid again.
Alaric's maws splayed open again and he sought the scruff of the coyote. The coyote twisted and snapped at Alaric's maws, landing a nasty bite to the side of his jaws. Alaric's head twisted and now aimed for the side of the neck instead of the scruff. His hit was successful and he felt the weight of fur and flesh enter his maws. He gripped the area tightly and shook his head, his fangs burrowing deep into soft flesh as he attacked the intruder.
The coyote let out cries of pain as it writhed beneath the much larger canid’s jaws. It twisted its body and managed to get a good grip on Alaric's cheek, threatening to reopen the old scar that laid there. Alaric used his grip on the neck to pull the coyote out towards the entrance of the den.
Outside stood Maul and Cinder, ready to help jump in and maul the coyote. Alaric flung the coyote in one large throw, releasing the grip on the neck in doing so. The coyote rolled into the icy ground before the two cane corsos. It's ears tucked to its skull and it's fluffed up tail curled beneath its stomach. It darted for the nearby forest, but the two large dogs were already on its trail.
Maul locked onto the hind leg of the coyote and Cinder grabbed the scruff. Together the two cane corsos dragged the coyote back towards their companion. They flung the coyote right back into the direction of Alaric, who was waiting for the coyote. Alaric launched himself at the coyote and successfully pinned the animal onto its back.
The coyote sunk it's jaws onto Alaric's front left leg in a desperate attempt to be freed from underneath the white wolf. However Alaric was now done with the coyote. He was going to end it's life. His black maws splayed open and he sought to wrap his jaws around the coyote’s upper jaws. Once he locked on, he simply pried off the jaws of the coyote from his leg and left behind a semi nasty bite mark in its wake.
Alaric then used one of his paws to slam the coyote’s head down, pinning it still. He glared, his orange colored eyes glowed like Hellfire as he bore his gaze into the coyote’s yellow eyes. “I think I'll take your pelt as bedding for my next den.” He snarled lowly, darkly, his breath hot on the coyote’s face.
Alaric then kept the coyote in place as he latched onto the jugular of the canid. He could feel its fast heartbeat in his mouth, pounding with every second. His fangs burrowed past fur and skin as he tore into the throat. He continued to tear and tear, blood pouring out of the major artery and staining Alaric's face and chest.
It didn't take long for the coyote to bleed out to death. Alaric went to work securing the pelt of the beast he had just slain and the rest of his materials from his den. Once he was packed, he motioned his two companions to follow. Together the trio walked through the icy forest, Alaric gripped the coyote pelt within his maws and kept it tight as he walked. They were moving up north to Boreas. A new start and leaving behind this old den was the beginning.
